This is a great stop when in the area. So convenient to Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish and other local attractions. The owners are beyond great hosts. They care about your stay and take great care with their property. Thank you Dana and Gary for a great stay!

If I was going to the Badlands, this is where I would stay. The KOA is not a great place, but the shade is definitely nice. The grounds could use some cleaning and the bathrooms some remodeling.

Sites were level and clean and spacious. The park is quiet. The restrooms were mostly clean, but the entry walkway and porch could use a sweep and the doors of the bathroom inside and out could be cleaner. I did not want to touch that bathroom entrance door. There appeared to be lots of amenities for families with children which thoroughly pleased the youngsters we saw. The location is perfect.

The entire visit was amazing! The employees were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful camp area with plenty to do. I can’t wait to go back again!

We had a wonderful stay! Check in with Thor, was easy and very informative. He gave us several recommendations for the park, where great sunset views could be found as well as dinner spots! Our site was nice and roomy for our rig too.

The host gave us great insight on things to see . He told us of great trails to take. The campground was clean, organized and very quiet! Self registration for a late arrival was very well laid out. Felt like a campground due to having shade trees not camper on top of camper in a field. Firepits were clean and the flip over grill was clean. Recommend highly!!!

Great location. Bathrooms were clean but dated. Pull through Site was large and level. Good WiFi. Store had the basics and staff was friendly. Adequate for a couple nights. The main reason to stay her is the location relative to Badlands. Nothing else around.

Not as fancy as some as some places but a beautiful area right next to the Badlands National Park with laundry and a good size dog run. Thor was very considerate and a joy to talk to after our long trip getting to the park

We were really just there to sleep. We came in late. Site was a little tight for our 42 ft 5th wheel. Direction on what to do we’re good. We would stay there again.

Paid for a patio spot, thinking there would be space between RVs. Unfortunately, there was a trailer, where the guy spent the day working on his engine, less than 10 feet away. Then a rental rv backed into another spot and stopped about 5 feet from my side of the bed. Showers need updating.

Nice campground. Enjoyed the pool. Could not use bbq because no start button and door fell off when trying to look inside. Concrete patio sits up to high.

On the whole a very nice park. Large level sights and most were shaded. Amenities were ok although the bathrooms were not cleaned daily. One of the stalls in the womens bathroom by the laundry room had a mess in it and was not cleaned from time we arrived on Friday until time we left on Monday. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The bathrooms were really bad, we reported that the women's toilet was plugged and the next day asked if it was repaired and the manager reported it had been fixed. Later in the day it had not been unplugged. The bathrooms need upgrades as the first faucet handle was broken and unable to be used. There was nasty dirt and hair in the showers, the shower curtains were dirty and one was torn.

We spent 2 nights in a tent at badlands koa. We love the facilities! Very clean and the tent sites are beautiful! The bathrooms are convenient for the tent campers as well. Great relaxing campground after a day hiking the badlands or visiting Wall drug or the missile site. Great and helpful host! We love this campground!

Amazing place! Quiet, calm, all amenities: water, electricity, sewerage. Public toilets and showers were cleaned every day. Will definitely recommend KOA! Thanks KOA for a great place!

Just a quick overnight, restrooms were a bit rough, broken sink with pieces laying in sink, not clean, KOA can do better. Spaces between RVs ws tight. Just needs a bit freshing up.

Place is very quiet at night, next to a river, close to a lot of attractions, and good campsites. Issues are the bathrooms are starting to look very dated, some stalls did not have toilet paper, septic vents are close to campsites keeping flies close, WIFI is available but not enough bandwidth when campsite is full, Last issue is reception process, all KOA campgrounds need to answer the phone.

Park was clean, however be sure to know where your water hookups are before you unhitch. Some sites were easy access ours was actually in another site. Had to purchase another hose to access the water. If you’re not fond of mosquitoes makes sure to bring your spray if you like to sit outside. On a good note it was very accessible to Badlands NP which was fabulous.

Employee Marty checked me in and made sure that I was happy with the campsite I was assigned. He took me in a golf cart through the campground and let me choose a site that was not in the sunlight since our air conditioner was not working properly. Thank you Marty!

Loved our stay and our site. Glad the pool was still open. The dog bath and mini golf were a dissappointment. We intended on using both but they were in poor shape. Other than that, it was a great campground.

The pod I stayed in was terrible. It had cobwebs all over the place, the shower curtain was way too long and made it hazardous when in the shower. The shower head was terrible. The mattress was like concrete. The screen inside the front door was all torn. I talked to the owner and he credited me the last night, but I actually left without staying that night because it was so bad.

Thor is a great host. We needed to add 2 additional days to our stay and no problems . He takes care of the guests as a neighbor.

Great camping and access to the white river. The river had white sand bars along the campground during our visit.

We rented a basic camping cabin for 2 nights. Only issue the mattresses on the beds could be a bit thicker, otherwise the campfire ring and porch swing were great, water tap right by our cabin. Store had nice selection. Wings were very good and kids liked the Hunt Bros pizza.
