Our four nights tent camping were quiet and peaceful. While the RV portion of the campgrounds was full, there were few tent campers and no RV traffic in the tent area. Perfect! The tent sites are roomy, clean and shady. Great alternative to the park camping areas.

An average KOA. Clean and well maintained. Definitely a remote spot, really remote which makes their amenities more important. We were there at the end of their season and they shut down all the “going’s on” right after we got there. That was disappointing. I understand but maybe they should offer a discount at the end of season. On the plus side, 50% off everything in the store!

Very convenient to the Badlands. Mostly shady sites with easy entrance and exit. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the Badlands.

Campground is another great KOA! Woman at desk very helpful and pleasant with all interactions. We loved our deluxe cabin! And it was perfect with our two medium sized dogs. The smaller basic cabins tend to be too crowded so we really appreciate being allowed to have the dogs with us. Camp K9 is the largest we’ve seen! Dogs loved the running space. Campground so clean and well landscaped.

Enjoyed our stay at this KOA. Sites were level, restrooms were clean. Night skies were beautiful. Very convenient to access the Badlands.

We loved this campground! In a beautiful setting & so close to the entrance to Badlands National Park. Sites were nice, staff was lovely. We took advantage of the "Kook Shack" onsite for breakfast & it was delicious. Certainly hope to return here.

Awesome campground! The kids loved the mini golf and our pug loved the dog park! Very clean restrooms too. Great shade and beautiful distant scenery. The kids are already asking to go back. We will return

Clean. Helpful friendly staff. Great laundry facilities (2). Perfect for visiting Badlands. Nightly Movies and a nice onsite "grill" that serves breakfast and dinner 7 days a week during peak season, weekends only otherwise.

All staff were so friendly and helpful when we asked questions. The park is so quiet, easy access to see the Badlands, and very clean. (We did not need to use their facilities.) Our dogs enjoyed the dog park and dog walk. If needed, they did have a dog wash station behind the dog park. Cannot say enough how friendly the staff is!

Easy access to the Badlands National Park and excellent facilities, this KOA filled our needs very well. Shady sites with decent spacing, plenty of amenities and clean bathrooms are things we look for in a campground. We will be back.

This KOA is a great base camp for exploring the Badlands. The grounds are well kept. Sites are level. Laundry rooms are clean and up to date as well as the bathrooms. Very large KOA. They can accommodate any size rig. The dog park is huge. Our pup enjoyed running around in it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Would stay here again if we are in the area. �

Love the proximity to the National Park and the cook shack makes great pancakes. Did not like the mosquitoes!

We stayed three nights. The proximity to Badlands NP was very good, 10-15 minutes away. The RV sites were well shaded by mature trees and the setting was very pleasant. The Cook Shack served up delicious breakfasts (we didn't try the dinner service). Only issue was the host of flies that felt the same! Overall, this is a very nice place to stay.

Excellent location. However the cabin had no hot water. After waking up to a cold shower the first morning I notified the office who told me they knew and a worker had went out at 6am to throw a breaker. Had already showered. Hot water later in morning. Next day wake up to even colder shower. Again I notified office and since we were checking out the lady didn’t seem to care nor offer comp.

Site 63 a little weird if you are trying to hook up sewer. Only negative I have to say

This is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed out. Facilities, staff and location were all excellent. Best rest rooms and showers east and west of the Mississippi. Thank-you for all of the efforts.

Staff working the grounds and guiding you to the campgrounds were friendly and helpful. For the most part the staff at the office were pretty good except for the day we checked in .She definitely needs some training on people skills . Apparently she was helping out from another campground. Maybe should keep her over there. Never used any facilities but my husband did and said they were very clean

This space is clean and beautifully kept. The bathrooms are clean. I loved the little camp spot under the trees by the White River. The coyotes sang me to sleep and the wind fluttering the cottonwood leaves sounded like raindrops. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer. Pilamayaye. Thank you for your hard work and kindness in maintaining this space for us wanderers.

There was a sewer treatment pound right behind our campsite that stunk so bad we could not sit outside in comfort. We were in site 48 and our friends were next to us. The sewer was never disclosed and not shown on your site map. Only lost dog creek is on your map. Luckily we were only there for one miserable night stay, VERY DISAPPOINTED

Pros - no line when we checked in A dinner and breakfast kitchen with a small menu Cons - the water tasted terrible, a very smelly, noxious looking pond that left a stink in our coach and tow vehicle for 2 days and a really offensive sign as you leave denigrating women.

We stayed here for a week and it was the perfect spot to stay near Badlands National Park(BNP)The campground is about 5 miles away from the entrance. Also - beware there are NO major grocery stores within 90 miles of BNP. There are a few convenience stores but they are EXPENSIVE.

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!

3.5 stars - CABIN A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. It was a very hot outside (99) but for the price of cabins, the property owner(s) needs to invest in adequate units that are larger and work for weather extremes or store industrial fans for open window air movement. Getting up every two hours, to kick start an a/c unit, after being on the road for twelve hours, is NOT fun. :( The employees/management are very nice and the property is kept very clean. Bath-house (near) cabins was sparkling clean, which is always a big plus.
