Summary

Here’s the latest on what’s open and what’s not at our KOA! (060520)

More Details

We are OPEN for RVs, tents (we are not ON Lake Hartwell) and all types of cabins (2 night minimum with full stay deposit).  Our restrooms will be available ONLY for the non-bathroom camping cabins, tents and popup RVs but will NOT be available for RVs on full hookup sites. RVs on water/electric sites staying two days or more can also use the restrooms. The pool is open with a social distancing reminder. No pool furniture will be provided so plan to bring your own. The playground continues to be closed per state order. Laundry facilities and mini-golf are available. Listed below are supplemental rules for the safe and healthy operation of the campground.

We ALL have a responsibility to ensure the campground and its amenities are safe for all guests.  Until further notice the following rules, in addition to the normal camping rules, are in effect.

Non-camping visitors:
- non-camping visitors are NOT allowed to drive beyond the office. However, they may WALK IN after parking in visitor parking or across the street from the campground entrance.
- visiting hours are from 10am to 7pm.
- non-camping visitors may NOT use the swimming pool or playground including the jumping pad.
- non-camping visitors may NOT use our campground bathrooms.
Short Term RV Guests:
- restrooms will not be available to RV guests on a sewer site. Guests on a RV site with water/electric only and staying two days or longer will have access to the restrooms. The restroom code is only for our camping guests; non-camping visitors may not use our restrooms.
- for our overnight or short term guests, as always, only one vehicle, besides the RV, may be at your site. When you register let the office know if you have a second vehicle; we have a storage area where it can be parked.
- only split, dried and wrapped firewood is allowed in the campground. Firewood must not come from out of state. Please do not burn pine needles as the smoke can irritate guests with respiratory problems.
Monthly RV Guests:
- restrooms will not be available to RV guests on a sewer site. Non-camping visitors may not use our rest rooms.

Deluxe Camping Cabins:
- all reservations are for a two night minimum with full payment required at time of reservation. Ensure you know your cancellation policy. Because of disinfection guidelines we must follow, you may not be able to extend your stay so please "get your ducks in a row" when you make your reservation.
-only linens needed for the number of guests will be provided (i.e. 2 guests means linens for the full/queen bed depending on your reservation). Extra linens will be provided only upon request during office hours. You may wish to consider bringing your own linens, pillow and towels.
- we recommend that kitchen equipment be washed before and after using to ensure highest level of sanitation.
Camping Cabins:
- all reservations are for a two night minimum with full payment required at time of reservation. Ensure you know your cancellation policy. Because of disinfection guidelines we must follow, you may not be able to extend your stay so please "get your ducks in a row" when you make your reservation.
Swimming Pool:
-according to the CDC, "There is no evidence that Covid-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine) of pools, should inactivate the virus that causes Covid-19." But the virus could spread via other means within the pool area, such as furniture, tables, etc.
- therefore, we will not be providing any furniture.  There will be two pop-up style tents to provide shade. Guests will be required to bring their own chairs to the pool. Anything left in the pool area will immediately be thrown away. No outside guests/visitors are allowed. RV guests should be sure to use their own bathroom before coming to the pool.
Playgrounds:
- playgrounds are not available at this time. When we are able to open them, please read the posted safe health rules.
Game Room:
- the game room will not be open this year.

PLEASE NOTE:
Any individual who does not comply with any of the above rules, or behaves in a manner that the campground believes potentially endangers any guest's health or safety, will forfeit their site and be asked to leave. Camping guests will also be responsible for the behavior of their non-camping visitors.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued understanding as the situation continues to evolve.
