Very basic “rustic” & close to Highway with loud train horns at 2am - 3am. Check shoes for goat head prickers. Found a close by attraction in Amarillo, Slug Bug Ranch - famous roadside art installation

It’s Amarillo, so think wide open spaces and a lot of wind. This park is clean and friendly, with an excellent gift shop. It’s easy to pull in and out and has great amenities. We like hearing the trains going by, it’s not too loud, and it’s a train! This is our regular Amarillo stop.

Very loud location, train cross near by at every 30 minutes day and night, USA air plain training fly over its very loud. don't try to check in early they will charge $10 even if you are 20 minutes early that was happened with us! It's good for short stop because is close of !-40.

No fault of the KOA which was well kept and pleasant staff, unable to sleep due to constant trains and whistles ALL NIGHT. Even ear plugs wouldn’t help.

This town has a lot of things to do!!!!!! We didn’t really have a whole lot of time to explore the campground but Amarillo is the place to be!

The gentleman that made us around 8 o’clock and we got in was very nice very helpful and accommodating. The bathrooms were clean and warm unfortunately we weren’t able to stay longer than our head out the next morning, but it was a pretty decent experience in the short time we were there.

Super friendly staff! I arrived right be fore closing and was hungry. The kind lady in the office was the best and recommended a pizza place that delivered right to the site.

This is our 2nd stay this month. We were welcomed and escorted to our site. The next morning we were called at 10:55 and warned that if we aren't out by 11:10, we would be charged $10.00. We were tired from the wind and rain since 5 am but were ready to go by 11:05. We've never been called by the office before checkout. It shouldn't be hard to offer good internet & HOSPITALITY in a campground.

Courtney the manager was the rudest person I’ve ever met never been spoken to or screamed at rather like she did because we didn’t know we had to stop & get map since office was closed.We had already received a check in email with our site number on it so we proceeded to go find our spot when she mowed us down screaming at us for not following the rules even told us we should just go down the

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We know confrontations can be unpleasant. The main issue was the high speed and not stopping as a flashing cart was behind you to slow down in the dark near our dog parks and walking customers. We have night guides on standby. All guest safety and comfort is our priority.

It was an overnight stay and we arrived right at office closing tome. The manager came out to welcome us and drove us out to our campsite. She stayed late helping several guests in the camp!

We have stayed here 4 times now and we always enjoy our stay. The sites are easy to get in and out of with our Class A RV. Will will be staying here again on our yearly trip and from Maine. The staff is very friendly and they even have a good truck.

Great location for stay in Amarillo. Hosts are friendly and helpful, park is super clean (restrooms, laundry, sites, etc.). Sites are gravel but level. We stayed directly across from the restrooms/showers, which was perfect. Quiet even though railroad tracks on both sides of park - sounds did not bother us at all. We would definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff. Two dog parks. The one with grass would be nicer with lighting. Food truck on site is option for travelers without cars as this site is near the airport not too near any venues of food. Thanks!

The place is clean. There are train horns all through the day and night making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Went to take a shower at 6:30 AM but no hot water. Very disappointed.

Friendly hosts and good, quiet location. We stayed in patio site next to dog park and its was truly lovely - we tried to extend but were unable to. Great visit and we will be back!

Small cabin, dog friendly, bring your own bedding and pillows, bathrooms are not far from the cabins, clean and secure.

Cabin beds comfortable, safe area with security. Food truck on site has great breakfast and dinner. Very convenient.
