We were heading to Missouri with 2 dogs from Phoenix. We like staying there because it is easy to bring the dog kennels in and out. And we can take them off leash in the dog park.

I rate the cabins at the Amarillo KOA at the top! Very clean and comfortable. Even though the weather was waiting for Dorothy and Toto to fly by I felt safe and after talking with the young lady on the front desk she assured me that they keep track of the weather and there is a tornado alarm warning set in this KOA. The customer service is above and beyond. I enjoyed my stay!!!

Cabins are nice comparatively w/ clean floors & "extras" like a/c & space heater / small TV / fan. Nice restrooms & showers! Driveway along the cabin / tent area holds water badly after rain. Main complaint - they close the pool ALL day if weather is forecasted anywhere within miles of the area instead of just when weather is actually there, which stinks for kids just passing thru for a day.

This is a super clean and nice KOA. When we turned onto the street to the KOA we though we had taken a wrong turn, so we were extremely pleased to see it was very nice. The checkin staff was professional and courteous and our cabin air was turned on and ready for us. What a pleasant surprise!! It was al nice to have a TV. The cabin was very clean and odor free and the carpet/mat was a nice touch.

Lovely, quiet location outside of Amarillo. Was a great place for us to spend the night on our way back to Georgia. Rented one of the Kabins and it was perfect for our needs on this trip.

The Amarillo KOA is a lovely campground. The staff was extremely helpful, and the campground itself was very clean. I was concerned about the airport noise but it was not a big deal at all. We stayed on our way to Utah, and again on our way back home. The trip back home we had a late arrival, and they had turned on a heater in the little cabin so it was warm for us. We will be back. Thank you!

Beautiful and extremely efficient service including check-in without leaving my car. We were escorted to our cabin so no worries trying to hunting down our spot. Extremely clean restrooms and showers. The warm welcome made us feel at home and like we were the only guests! Very enjoyable visit. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin in Amarillo and it was perfect for our family to rest before we headed home from Spring Break. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed with fresh linens. The store is well stocked and the staff is very friendly.

Noisy area with the airport and train tracks. Bathroom facilities were pretty dated. Cabin was nice.

The clerk that we initially encountered was very rude and not accommodating. They had at this point already hit my credit card, bit refused to let us park in Amy of the several empty sites. We were also told there were no restrooms for our use for over 2 hours. I will never stay at this location again.

LOVE the KOA in Amarillo... we stay in the cabin that has the full bathroom and porch! It is wonderful. We arrive late but they have either the heat or AC on prefect for the season. Great layover spot for our trip twice a year!!!

The camp host was so sweet she made me cry after a very long journey to make it there. The bathrooms and cabin was very clean. Excellent service. Went above and beyond for me.

We made our reservation for a cabin while on the road and headed to Amarillo on a cold January night. Our hosts were exceptionally hospitable as we arrived late and were greeted by them to make sure we were comfortable. Our cabin number 1 was ready and they had the heater going so it was nice and toasty warm. That night a huge cold front blew in with a blizzard as we left and our cabin was warm!

Nice KOA! Bed was good in the K Cabin; no issues checking in late. Dog walk was convenient! Shower was large and bathroom had a heater! Heater in room worked well. Would definitely stay again!

The BEST customer service EVER! The two people working during our stay bent over backwards to make us comfortable. Many thanks to them both. The KOA is in a beautiful, quiet location. Slept very well. Highly recommend it.

The people working in the office were so friendly and so nice to my family. And even let us take an activity back for my child and they were very helpful with directions around the camp site.And we will be returning again soon thank you guys for an awesome trip.

The man who greeted my family was incredibly disrespectful and unwelcoming. We traveled 16 hours and needed a relaxing rest, and it was nothing like that. We were told one of our trucks were never allowed back in the campground. We ended up having to get a hotel. We arrived at 9pm. We had three exhausted children with us who weren’t able to go to bed until 2AM. Took forever to find a hotel.

Incredibly clean shower house & cabin. Store & lounge was super nice. Wish I could have accessed the lounge later in the evenings. Staff was very kind. The cabin I was in, the curtains did not shut fully for darkness & privacy so I had to put towels up. Also, proximity to RR & airport woke me up sporadically at times.

This was our annual summer vacation spot this year with our friends. It was a nice place to stay, but they have changed their policies a bit since we last stayed at a KOA. We were required to pay the full amount upon initiating the reservation instead of a deposit for our cabin. We decided on a cabin that did not have a refrigerator or running water to save funds. We used a community bathroom. It did have air conditioning, which was a priority with the heat. My family would stay here again.
