General Campground Information

Laundry is 24/7 with a coded door. The machines are quarter operated with a 5$ and 1$ change machine.
Wash loads are $2.00 and large dryers are 5 minutes for a quarter.

Due to the fact that our area of Texas is windy and susceptible to fast spreading wildfires, we do not allow ground level campfires.

Sleeping in vehicles

Due to our windy area and temperature changes, we do allow tent site areas for vehicle sleeping.
These are only available during tenting season. March 1st - November 1st.

Swimming Pool

Our pool is heated and opens from Noon until dusk.
We try and keep the pool open as long as the seasonal weather is cooperating!

Late Registrations

If you arrive after the Campground General Store is closed, please direct your attention to the "NIGHT REGISTRATION" box located to the right of the Front Door.
There you will find all the information needed to make your selection.
NOTE: Camping Kabin reservations can not be made after the General Store closes.

Pool Guidelines

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! Swim at your own risk! Pool is intended for registered guests ONLY.
Visitors subject to eviction without refund. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult inside the pool area.
No glass allowed around pool area. Sorry, no pets in pool area. Pool hours may vary depending on the weather.
Pool hours are Noon to dusk!

Check-in and Check-out times

The Park has a great turnover of guests and we need a short amount of time for staff to do a multitude of tasks.
There is no parking or waiting at the park before check-in. If we allow vehicles, RV's and guests before check in, we are unable to do park maintenance.
We will suggest close by areas and attractions until check-in time.

Check-In Time RV/Tent sites: 1:00 p.m.
Check-In Time Cabins:   3:00 p.m.

Check-Out time: Camping Cabins: A late check-out fee of $35.00 will be charged after 11:15 a.m.   A full day fee will be charged after 12:00 p.m. (this does not guarantee another night stay, due to availability)
Check-Out time: Tents/RV Sites: A Late Check-out fee will be charged after 11:15 a.m. and an additional fee after 12:00 PM, no exceptions.
Check out must be at the time guests have left the park, not just the site. We have specialty staff that must maintain our cleanliness and grounds keeping for the health and safety of all our guests. Thank you for your understanding!

Please go slow! We have many four legged, furry pets,  two legged little tots and gravel roads!

Pet Fees

We love pets and have a designated K9 camp for off the leash roaming and plenty of areas to roam with your favorite family member on leash!
For safety of all, please have your pet on a leash at all times, never leave a pet unattended and always pick up after your pet.
We provide many pet stations throughout the park that provide trash receptacles and doggy bags. We also assess fines of up to 10.00 per incident, if you do not pick up after you pet.

Propane - currently unavailable

Propane can not be dispensed at this time, due to circumstances out of our control. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sites and Weather

We have high winds and weather that can quickly roll in and out of the panhandle area. Please keep up to date with weather updates.
Winter will have freezing temps, and we suggest keeping your hoses unhooked and only hooking them up to the water hydrants to fill.
We do not have heated hydrants and may occasionally shut the water off at the sites to prevent damage.
The bathhouses will be open unless there are emergency outages.
