Stayed at this koa for years, have dogs, always put up a pen, now told NoWay are they allowed. SHOW dog person looking elsewhere

We sympathize with you on the new policy of no personal pet pens. There have been too many unfortunate incidents with personal pet pens. We do have 2 pet parks and plenty of space for walking!

The campground has tight spaces and was adjacent to an airport runway. Fighter jets taking off early in the morning is not pleasant

Overall, it was very nice, just off the beaten path. It was close enough to everything in Amarillo, yet outside of the hustle and bustle. The campground was nice, but the space between sites felt very close. I realize it rained quite a bit before our stay; you could see where all the water pooled, which in some cases was in your RV spot. The sites were not really level even for dirt/sandy surfaces

This KOA needs improvement, especially during rainy wet weather. I understand you cannot control Mother Nature, but you can definitely add more gravel to improve campsites. The first time we stayed our campsite was underwater. We thought we would give them another chance. However this time we were in a muddy mess! Our ladder sunk into the mud!! As well as our shoes and clothes covered with mud.

Just a quick overnighter on our way home. Only comment is that the receptacle for the blackwater drain is too high making it challenging to drain even with the expandable hose support. Otherwise all was good. Quick, easy re-entry to the highway.

Surprisingly nice and very well maintained for a Journey. Thought it should be a Holiday. Rain impacted the interior roads but site was level and roads were navigable. The store is super cute and very well stocked. Strongly recommend!

Only stayed for one night but it was great. Super clean. Staff is very friendly. It is a bit loud with the small airport, but not too bad. So much to do around Amarillo.

The sites are the closest we’ve ever stayed in. Neighbors’ slide hung over our picnic table. Their sewer was way too close for comfort. Facilities were clean. Staff was friendly & helpful. Had to use blocks to level.

The campground itself wasn’t all that bad but the location was not great! The train whistle blew all night! We were unhooking the truck from the camper and my fiance was told to move the truck because he couldn’t park on the grass but there was like 1 strand of grass and he would’ve moved it anyway! Glad we were only there for the night!

We only stayed one night. We wanted to do laundry and there is no coin machine nor will staff provide change. It is not a quiet campground and you do hear fighter jets taking off along with auto traffic and trains. The chiggers are awful. Ample space to walk dogs. Store was excellent. It was fine for an overnight. Spaces are super close together.

Very nice campground, nice sized, very level sites. We lost part of our power and the staff was there in minutes and worked diligently in freezing cold howling winds to help us. There is some train and airport noise but the wind was really intense. All things that are just going to happen sometimes . We would definitely stay again.

Quick over night stop. It was raining when we got there but the park was very clean and spacious.

The park is easy to navigate. It has quite a few full time campers. It is sandwiched between the busy interstate and a train tracks. It can be noisy. WiFi is very weak and slow.

Everything was fantastic. Loved this place and Courtney. The next morning, At 11:01 my phone rang. At 11:03 they pulled up to us asking if we needed to request late check out. I personally thought the 1and 3 minute were a bit breathing down my back. We had an issue and were 3 minutes late to pull out. Other than that, I was 5000% happy with everything here and would definitely stay agai

This KOA is up to par with our expectations for a KOA. If people complain about noise from the airport they are just whiners. The planes dont fly at night. Location is great for seeing various parts of rt 66.

Some sites have nice mature shade trees. They also have a good food truck on site with a nice variety on menus…lots of Texas Bbq. Their Chicken soup was great!!

The Amarillo KOA exceeded our expectations in every way. This was a "wet" drizzly day but the campground area was able to handle the moisture very well and was not muddy or nasty in any way. We were very happy with the condition of the campground and the rest room and shower facilities were very clean and nice to use!! Great job by the campground staff!!!

Convenient and very friendly night staff when arriving late. The food truck is excellent, but nit fast if you are in a rush. Always a nice stop.

Amarillo is flat and windy, KOA was organized facilities were clean. There is a well equipped country store, playground for kids and pet area. Food truck serves delicious breakfast and dinner. KOA is easily accessible if you are journeying across I 40.

We had a one-night stay with our three dogs (no pens outside allowed), and 99% of stay was good. We did have an unpleasant neighbor (Michigan plates-surprisingly) that upset my SO. The wind was bad-curtailing outside activities, and I-40W getting there was really bad (near gale force crossing wind, packed with cont.passing semis, and VERY rough road). Site could be more supportive wrt dogs.Good.

This was a one night stop over for us. All amenities were great, and your attendance were extremely helpful and courteous. Only issue was mosquitoes that swarmed when dusk came.

Small cabin, dog friendly, bring your own bedding and pillows, bathrooms are not far from the cabins, clean and secure.

Cabin beds comfortable, safe area with security. Food truck on site has great breakfast and dinner. Very convenient.
