At first the staff thought I was homeless because I wasn’t going to put up a tent because of the wind. We figured if I moved into a Kabin it would work for both of us. I’m now a konfirmed kabin kamper

The staff was lovely and showed me to my cabin, they were obviously very prepared for the influx of folks traveling back from the eclipse! The cabin was clean and well prepared. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The only thing keeping me from top marks across the board is due to location you get kind of a funky smell from the oil rigs (I think that’s what it is)

I’m glad that now the office is open until late. We stayed in a cabin with no restroom and had to rent the bed linens, which were clean and had just a very light nice scent, I usually use everything unscented. The cabin had a TV and a water hydrant outside, we just spent one night. Check in and out process was easy.

Everything was immaculate as usual. My only issue is with the new faucet things in the ladies room. No matter how low you turn on the water, it still sprays everywhere. I realize you're probably trying for more water conservation without losing pressure but more water is going to waste all over the counter as well as possible over me. Other than that, all good.

Very nice campground! Clean with friendly and helpful staff. Very nice lounge to sit and have coffee. We stayed in a cabin and it was very nice.

Nice place for an easy overnighter when coming thru the area. There are train tracks that run within .5 mile of the cg so if you’re a light sleeper use white noise.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Got checked right in and escorted to our cabin. The cabin was clean and warm, bed was pretty comfy. Clean bathrooms and showers, good hot water. They give you a complimentary 1st cup of coffee in the gift shop. Lots of fun souvenirs, and some local goods to choose from. The store is well stocked with the basic necessities.

The staff at Amarillo KOA was wonderful and the cabin was clean and cozy. The only reason for not giving a 10 under recommending to a friend was the noise from the nearby train crossing. We were awakened by train whistles several times during the night.

Passing through Amarillo but needing a place to spend the night we chose the delux cabin. It was a single unit, clean, with extra room, a full bath, had a table and four chairs. It had a fridge and microwave. No kitchen or dishes. The bed was comfortable and we were able to back in close to the steps enabling us to easily unload and load what was needed for the night. We may stay there again.

I stayed during the off season with about 10 campsites occupied, the facility was clean to KOA standards and expectations. The staff displayed a "mall cop" attitude regarding where to park, I parked on the gravel adjacent to the cabin site out of the way of traffic, staff immediately directed me to park on the grass "in" the cabin site area, etc.

Keeping the front office open later than 6pm is nice, but not necessary for us. The TV worked this time (thanks). Everything was clean and in order in both the cabin and the bathrooms. The motion sensor light in the dog run was not working so the light did not come on at 6:30am. Maybe it's also on a timer?

Heater didn't keep the cabin warm AT ALL, one of the shower stalls was in disrepair and missing a bench, and the lady during checkout was rude. Office was also only open during check in and check out, so I couldn't ever go in to get anything.

We stayed one night in a camping cabin on our way to Tempe. Cabin was great, clean and roomy. A mini fridge would be a great addition to the camping cabin fir the future

The people were so nice! The cabin was perfect! They accommodated my enclosed trailer so it didn’t have to walk too far! Electric outlets all in the right places, the digital clock was most convenient. Nice and clean! The lady up front was awesome! (sorry, I forgot to remove the pod after I made my coffee)

Had good amenities. When I found out it was by the airport I was concerned that it would be noisy but my first day stay wasn't. 2nd time around there was a camper behind my cabin with a dog that barked for a long time. Finally stopped about 10:30 which was good, but started up again at 5:30 in am so I ended up leaving early. You should have some rules about barking dogs.

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- $64/night Stayed 2 nights Site #8 Stayed here mid-Sept 2023. Pull-through 50 amp FHU. Site #08 THE GOOD: Staff: Very friendly staff! Sites: There is more grassy spots than photos online make it seem, which is nice! Location: minutes from gas and lots of stuff on Route 66. Cadillac Ranch is 18 min away. Field area: Large grass area/field in the middle of the campground. Directions: You feel like you are driving into a neighborhood and may think you took the wrong turn but it's right there. Near train: Yes CONNECTIVITY: Campground WiFi: -Did not try. Cell/hotspot using booster: -AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G) -Verizon (2 of 4 bars—4G) THE BAD: Location: Near large poultry plant so the smell sometimes hits you.

I highly recommend! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites were all maintained. Our site was a pull through and level. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained as well. The water was hot and the pressure was great! I loved that the shower was in its own private stall that you could lock for privacy.
