The Amarillo KOA exceeded our expectations in every way. This was a "wet" drizzly day but the campground area was able to handle the moisture very well and was not muddy or nasty in any way. We were very happy with the condition of the campground and the rest room and shower facilities were very clean and nice to use!! Great job by the campground staff!!!

Convenient and very friendly night staff when arriving late. The food truck is excellent, but nit fast if you are in a rush. Always a nice stop.

Amarillo is flat and windy, KOA was organized facilities were clean. There is a well equipped country store, playground for kids and pet area. Food truck serves delicious breakfast and dinner. KOA is easily accessible if you are journeying across I 40.

We had a one-night stay with our three dogs (no pens outside allowed), and 99% of stay was good. We did have an unpleasant neighbor (Michigan plates-surprisingly) that upset my SO. The wind was bad-curtailing outside activities, and I-40W getting there was really bad (near gale force crossing wind, packed with cont.passing semis, and VERY rough road). Site could be more supportive wrt dogs.Good.

Very nice place but I didn't know that the pool was close for the season and the place was full of mosquitoes.

This was a one night stop over for us. All amenities were great, and your attendance were extremely helpful and courteous. Only issue was mosquitoes that swarmed when dusk came.

We ran in to some navigation problems on the way to the Amarillo KOA. Our own fault, not the fault of th KOA. The staff there was extremely accomidating and extremely kind in getting our vacation back on course. The staff went over and above the call of duty to ease our stress. We are very appreciative to the staff at the Amarillo KOA and would very highly recomend a stay there.

Clean campground, professional and friendly staff. Beware there is some airport noise but it isn’t constant. Overall it was a very comfortable and restful stay.

Our site was very narrow and nearly all dirt (in our case, mud, since it had just rained the day before). Looking at the other sites, I probably would not have been happy with most of them. We gave up our second night registration and just left after one night. We won't be back. This experience makes me rethink that a KOA guarantees a minimum quality of campgrounds and sites.

Very clean, well run, friendly staff. Cabin very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was not having a chair to sit on. Could only sit on bed. Cabin #7

Convenient location. Very well managed. People at the desk were EXTREMELY helpful when I messed up my reservation - Thank You. This is a great stop over camp. Everything was kept clean and safe.

Just a quick overnight but it was very pleasant. The bathrooms were roomy and clean. Our spot had a nice concrete pad for the picnic table. There is a food truck available for breakfast and dinner. Fairly quiet for an urban campground.

Very loud due to proximity to trains, planes and helicopters. Bad smell most days in Amarillo. Dryer in laundry room barely dried my clothes. WiFi not strong enough to support streaming.

Amarillo KOA was perfect for a 1 night stay on our way home from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. The pull-thru site was easy to get into & set-up quickly. We enjoyed the food truck for an easy dinner. The only draw backs were the trains in the middle of the night & military jets breaking the speed of sound during the day.

The campground itself is nice, however… The golf cart police are petty and will scold you for any infraction! There were 3 trailers in our party and we all were scolded for something!! Ex: rug on tufts of grass, parked crookedly and if you’re a minute past checkout time… you will be charged a fee! There is absolutely no room for errors in this park! We had reserved a tent site however it was raining when we arrived. we was greeted at the driveway and we was offered an upgrade to a cabin which was much appreciated. Staff was friendly and cabin was clean and we had great service, we will be back again.

Your internet is horrible. I had little to no service during my entire visit. I have stayed at the KOA Amarillo no short of 5-8 times and have never had any issues with connectivity in any of those visits. Fix the internet issue and get five stars!

My recommendation score has more to do with the fact that I don't make recommendations of anything to anybody. I let people make up their own minds on entities. That being said, in this day and age, this KOA needs to provide far better WiFi internet access.

Nicole was super nice. Grounds are well kept. Bath house was spectacular. Nice area for dogs to run and relieve themselves. Spot was not level and mine was workable.

All was clean and welcoming. However I'm not rating this KOA as high as I might due to issues that might concern others. Our site was in the rear area. There was minimal shade, no wind breaks which in TX can be a problem, and the WiFi was very spotty, dropping regularly. If these amenities are important to you, you might decide to request a particular site or review your options with the staff.

Just a stop over on a long trip. Easy in and out. Had some dinner from the food truck on site, very disappointed in the food. I don’t recommend it.

Small cabin, dog friendly, bring your own bedding and pillows, bathrooms are not far from the cabins, clean and secure.

Cabin beds comfortable, safe area with security. Food truck on site has great breakfast and dinner. Very convenient.
