'Ring of Fire' Annular Solar Eclipse
Plan a stargazing-themed road trip and come on down to New Mexico to see the "Ring of Fire' Annular Solar Eclipse! On Saturday, October 14, find yourself a good place to sit with a clear view of the sun, slip on some eclipse-viewing glasses (which will be available for purchase in our camp store), and look up! Over the course of about 3 hours, the sun and moon will put on a spectacular show in the sky as they line up to produce an annular "Ring of Fire" solar eclipse. During an annular solar eclipse, the moon appears slightly smaller than the sun, so it can't block the entire disk. The result is a beautiful "ring of fire."
