Preparing for Your Fiesta Adventure

As you embark on your Balloon Fiesta journey, be prepared for fluctuating desert temperatures. Mornings can be brisk, with temperatures around 40°F, so dress in layers and bring a jacket. Protect yourself from the high-altitude UV rays with sunscreen and sunglasses as the sun rises over the picturesque fields.

With crowds reaching up to 80,000, early arrival is key. Aim to be there by 5:00 a.m. for morning events and 4:00 p.m. for evening festivities. The park gates open at 4:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for morning and evening events, respectively. Arriving early provides the perfect opportunity to explore the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, a fascinating prelude to the upcoming spectacle.

Capture the breathtaking moments with your camera or phone, as the Balloon Fiesta is renowned as the world's most photographed event. Bring water to stay hydrated and, for evening events, a flashlight to navigate the fairytale-like atmosphere.
