Trout 'n' Tomato
- 1/4 c chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's Chicken Gumbo Soup
- 1 can (11 oz.) Campbell's Tomato Bisque Soup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- dash pepper
- 2 pound(s) fresh trout, cleaned
- cooked rice or toast
In skillet, cook green pepper and onion in butter until tender. Blend in soups, lemon juice and pepper. Add fish. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. Cook 15 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally, spooning sauce over fish. Serve over rice.
