Texas Tin Foil Medley


  • 1  Pkg. of Link/Smoked Sausage sliced (Deer sausage is even better!)
  • 6 - 8  Medium sized potates cut in chunks
  • 4 - 5  Small bottle-neck/yellow squash sliced
  • 1  Medium white onion sliced
  • 1  Jalapeno gutted and sliced
  • 4  Tbsp  Butter or margarine
  • 3  Tbsp  Black Pepper
  • 3  Tbsp  Garlic Powder
  • 1  Tbsp  Parsley
  • Colby Cheese (optional)


Put all the ingredients in a large piece of foil. The foil should be tightly sealed to insure that the ingredients are steamed. Cook on open charcoal grill for 45 minutes (30 minutes if cooking with gas). This recipe can also be quick frozen the night before a trip and kept in ice chest until thawed. To add additional flavor, we put shredded colby cheese on top after cooking.
