Southern-Style Sausage Dressing
- 1 pound(s) Jimmy Dean pork sausage
- 1 c celery, chopped
- 1 c onion, chopped
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 qt chicken broth
- 4 large boiled eggs, chopped
- 1 recipe bisquits - precooked and crumbled
- 1 recipe cornbread - precooked and crumbled
Sauté sausage, celery and onion. In large bowl, combine sausage mixture, spices, boiled eggs and crumbled biscuits and cornbread; blend all. Add chicken broth until mixture resembles the consistency of cake batter. Place in Dutch oven lined with foil, cook for approximately 1 hour or until top is slightly browned.
Oven Directions: Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
