- 34 - 40 saltine crackers
- 1 c butter
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- slivered almonds
- powdered sugar (optional)
Pre-heat over to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick spray. Line the saltine crackers on the foil. Place 1 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar in pot and bring to a boil using medium heat. Let boil for 1 minute. Pour over crackers and place in oven for 10 minutes or until crackers float. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips; let stand 5 minutes...spread like frosting. Sprinkle with almonds. Place in fridge for 1 hour and then break apart and place in baggies. Excellent snack or goodie.
