Poor Mans Supper
- ground beef
- tomato, diced
- small onion, sliced
- green or red pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
Make ground beef into small loaves and place on aluminum foil. Cut up potatoes on top of the ground beef, as desired. Dice a small tomato on top of each meal. Dice a small onion on top of each meal. Add green or red pepper or both if you like alot of flavor and cut up onto the meals as well. Salt and pepper to taste and wrap up each one. Place in hot coals after fire has burned down. Cook about 45 minutes over campfire or in oven. Each person has their own meal in foil and it is easy clean-up as well as easy to prepare.
Vegetables can be substituted for the ground beef or chicken or fish may also be used for a variety. You may also use other vegetables if you do not want potatoes or just want a different dish the next night.
A great camping breakfast recipe from the experts at KOA.
