Peanut-packed Munch Mix
This tasty trail mix is especially popular with young hikers. Make it before you go, and have it on hand for hungry campers who just can't wait for dinner.
- 5 c bite-sized shredded wheat biscuits
- 1 c unsalted peanuts
- 1/4 c creamy peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp margarine or butter
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 c raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 13x9x2-inch baking pan, combine shredded wheat biscuits and peanuts. Set aside. In a small saucepan, heat peanut butter, margarine or butter and honey. Drizzle over cereal mix, tossing to coat.
Bake about 10 minutes, stirring twice. Cool in pan on a wire rack about 10 minutes. Stir in raisins. Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
