Onion-Butter Biscuits


Makes 10

  • 1/3  c  butter or margarine
  • 1/4  c  onion soup mix
  • 2  c  Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2  c  cold water


Heat butter in 8-inch foil pie pan on grill until melted; stir in 2 tablespoons of the soup mix. Pour half of the butter mixture in another 8-inch foil pie pan. Rotate pans until butter mixture covers the bottoms and sides. Stir baking mix, remaining soup mix and the water until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Drop by spoonfuls into hot butter mixture. Pour butter mixture from other pan over biscuits; invert pan over pan with biscuits. Secure rims together with spring-type clothespins. Place pan on grill 4 inches from hot coals; cook 8 to 10 minutes on each side.
