Kid-Tested Caramel Corn
Stand back when you set this snack in front of your kids. They're likely to dive in at full speed to grab a handful.
- 3 Tbsp margarine or butter
- 1/4 c corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 6 c popped popcorn
- 1 c dry roasted peanuts, cashews or sunflower nuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a small saucepan, melt margarine or butter. Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup and molasses. In a 13x9x2-inch baking pan, drizzle mixture over popcorn and toss to coat. Bake about 15 minutes, stirring twice. Transfer mixture to serving bowl; stir in nuts. Store in a tightly sealed container at room temperature.
