Grilled Tuna Sandwiches


Makes 4

  • 1  6.5 or 7 oz. can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/4  c  finely chopped celery
  • 1/3  c  mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 8  slices of bread
  • 4  slices American cheese
  • butter or margarine, softened


Stir together tuna, celery and mayonnaise. Spread half the bread slices with mixture; top each with a cheese slice and another slice. Butter tops and bottoms of sandwiches. Cook on griddle or skillet over low heat on both sides until browned.
