Day Camp Stew


  • 1 1/2  pound(s)  ground beef
  • 1  medium yellow onion
  • 2  cans kidney beans
  • 2-3  cans stewed tomatoes
  • 2  cans sliced baby potatoes
  • 2  bay leaves
  • garlic to taste
  • worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste


You can have 2 - 3 cans of stewed tomatoes, depending on how much soup you want. In a pot, brown the meat and onion together. Add the bay leaves and worcestershire sauce, then cook until meat is done and onions are translucent. Drain the beans and add to the pot. Add the stewed tomatoes. Drain the potatoes and add them to the pot. Add Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until all the ingredients are hot. Ladle into bowls and serve with french bread.
