Chocolate Peanut Crisps
Ingredients

- 1/2 c peanut butter
- 1/4 c light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 c crisp rice cereal
- 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 c light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp margarine or butter
- 1 1/2 c crisp rice cereal
Preparation
Line and 8x8x2-inch baking pan with foil. Butter foil. In a medium saucepan combine peanut butter, the 1/4 cup corn syrup and the 2 tablespoons sugar. Cook over low heat until peanut butter is melted. Stir in the 1 1/2 cups rice cereal until well coated.
Transfer peanut butter-cereal mixture to the foil-lined pan. Press mixture evenly into the pan.
In the same saucepan combine chocolate pieces, the 1/4 cup corn syrup, the 2 tablespoons sugar and margarine. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate and margarine are melted. Stir in the 1 1/2 cups rice cereal until well coated. Spread chocolate-cereal mixture evenly on top of the peanut butter-cereal mixture. Cool. Cut into squares. Store in a tightly covered container.
