Cheesy Sausage Skillet


  • 1  pound(s)  cooked polish or kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/2  c  chopped onion
  • 1  package Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
  • 1/8  tsp  ground red pepper
  • 2 1/3  c  water
  • 2/3  c  milk
  • 1  Tbsp  butter or margarine
  • 2  c  frozen or canned mixed vegetables


In skillet or electric frying pan, cook sausage and onion until sausage is browned and onion is tender, stirring frequently. Drain. Add potato slices, contents of sauce packet from potatoes. ground red pepper, water, milk and butter, mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in vegatables; simmer an additional 7 to 10 minutes or until potatoes and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
