West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA Reviews

RV Reviews

While the staff is always super friendly the camping spots are horrible. Super small and no grass

All amenities closed due to covid 19 including bathrooms. We arrived when tornado watches and storm warnings were in the area. Where were people supposed to go in the event of a tornado? I understand the pandemic not your fault, but not ours either. Where is the break in rates when everything locked up. It seems KOA is going to make their profit regardless of what is offered.

RV space was very tight and the picnic table was right next to the neighbors sewer dump. We were in site 64.

The camp ground served our purpose was visiting daughter and her family it was a option to maintain social distancing. As far as the camping would be fine as a overnight then move on next day. As a whole the sites are spaced to close together not much privacy. Had someone next to us and there car was parked out in the entrance road too far had to back out of my spot to get out.

It's good for a night a night a two. I think the spaces are too close together. I had someone burning in their fire ring which was less than 5 feet away from camper. Also, we could not open our awning because a tree was less than 5 feet on the other side of the camper. It was loaded with carpenter ants which got into some of our compartments and in our bathroom. The pizza we ordered was good.

When we arrived it went smooth thru the process and this was our very first camping experience with our new camper everybody helped out and always checked on us. We are very thankful for staff and site! Thanks so much for support and help during our first camping trip.

Loved our site - only stayed the night as we were headed home from out west, but was a really nice sight with lots of room - site# 23; would highly recommend.

This was just an overnight for us but we were somehow blessed with a deluxe site. The staff was super helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. The pizza was the bomb!!

The staff was very friendly. Our site was pretty muddy and I feel like there should have been discounted rates being that all of the amenities were closed due to covid-19.

it was very quiet and comfortable. new management was very friendly.

Very clean park, due to covid nothing was open yet. Pool open on July 1. Good pizza. Staff very helpful.

Check in was very pleasant, our site was easy to pull in and out of with our motorhome. The laundry facility is clean and efficient. We were only there one night on our journey across the USA.

This property has a lot of deferred maintenance -- needs a good infusion of capital. Convenient location but needed ear plugs to drown out the Interstate traffic noise at night. The place just felt run-down. However, the managers could not have been more helpful and nice!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comment. I have great plans for improving the park. We just finished a 26 site expansion on the south end of the park, which will allow us to work on the original portion. Travel safe this year, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the camping season.

The campground is crowded and not quite as nice as other KOA locations. The prices were too high for the value received. The staff was good.

Site was clean. It was pretty tight getting into our spot, but, staff guided us in. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Stayed 8 nights to help air force family in Papillion. Folks are very friendly but $67++ for a crowded gravel site with all amenities still closed is way over the top. This park is old and tight. I will stay here again but ONLY because it is the closest RV Park to our family. If there was an alternative I would be there. Stayed in a 40' fifth wheel.

DRIVING IN IS A LITTLE TRICKY, BUT AFTER THAT A VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY !

Beautiful, amazing site. Brink fire pit, wrought iron table and chair set, picnic table and huge deck. Deck does need some work. Couple boards are soft. The site was so much bigger than most KOAs and we loved it. Interior roads are tight and it was difficult to actually leave the park when hooked up tow car! We would definitely stay again.

Very nice kind helpful crew. Gorgeous campground. We only stayed one night & wish it could have been longer. A lot of activities that we wish we would have had time for.

60/night, web said things were closed in the camp ground until 6/1. 6/5 and everything is still closed, charged full price! My camp site #96 had no yard my door opened to the neighbors slide out. No fire ring. Spot right next to the road with highway traffic all night! No sewer hook up, web site said there was until April...it’s JUNE!! Kids were miserable, spent weekend in camper!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I'm sorry your stay wasn't enjoyable, and the information wasn't updated. We've made the adjustments and have plans to open the entire park on July 1st. If you make it through the area again, we will make sure you are taken care of. Travel safe and hope the rest of your travels are blessed.

Stayed as a stopover on our way to Utah. Site was easy to get into and we had plenty of room with our 27 foot travel trailer. The guy who guided us to our site was super helpful and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Would stay there again. Pool was closed because of COVID-19, but that is not the campground's fault.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner and that site 71 served you well, it is one of my favorites. We are opening the pool on July 1st. Travel safe back home, and if you make it back through the Omaha area, we would love to host you again.

We visited during the Covid 19 Pandemic, , no pool, ,showers Or office were open but it was a clean camp ground and the 2 people we dealt with through plastic shields and masks on were very friendly, it was great for us to just get outside and camp ,With social distancing

I pulled in after driving 12 hours. I had no reservation, but the staff was very friendly and accommodated me well. The campground was clean, quiet and the short term camping had nice shade. If I travel down I80 again and need a campground, I will definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Sites are just way too close together and no room to breathe hard to get in and out the pull through sites are also just too short.

It was very nice peaceful and relaxing. Everyone was very friendly and always ready to help with any thing they could. They even had trash pick up. Everything was clean and well kept. The dog park was great also

Just stayed overnight, but, seemed like a great campground!
May 31, 2020
Campsite was extremely small and extremely close to the next site.

Very nice visit.
May 29, 2020
Of course the rain was bad but the KOA can’t control that. As always, the team taking care of the CG was hard at work ... maintaining the original part and working feverishly to get the new 26 Site section open. We are already making plans for our next trip back. Go give the new owners a pat on the back and let them welcome you to their Family fun filled park.

Our site was a mud pit. We almost fell twice in the mud trying to hook up our sewer there were other site in the park that were empty though out our stay that were not muddy. Can't blame the park for the rain but many sites needed much more gravel. We were not the only Kampers that had to deal with a lot of mud. The laundry room was not clean
May 28, 2020
Friendly staff, but the campground needs gravel. Which seems okay until you pay $70 a night to sway through mud the entire time. The amenities have to meet the cost.
