1.  Watkins Glen Gorge Trail

During your trek on the Watkins Glen Gorge Trail, you'll have no shortage of stunning natural scenery. This trail is 1.5 miles in length and features stone paths and over 800 steps. One of the highlights of this trail is Rainbow Falls. The trail goes under the falls, giving you a unique perspective of this popular waterfall. 

2. North Rim Trail 

Within Watkins Glen State Park, you can trek the North Rim Trail, which is a relatively easy hike. This trail, also known as the Indian trail, is 1.1 miles long. If you want to extend your hike, you can combine it with the Gorge Trail. While you make your way along the wide path, you'll have a chance to take in the views with overlooks. You'll also have a great view of the gorge even if you don't combine trails.

3. South Rim Trail 

The South Rim Trail is also located within Watkins Glen State Park. It's a 2.6 out-and-back trail that gives you access to all of the other trails within the park. During your hike, you'll go through mixed hardwood forests. This hike lets you take in scenic areas ranging from Sentry Bridge to the gorge lip.

4. Indian, Finger Lakes and Gorge Trail Loop

Looking for a longer, more challenging hike? Hit the Indian, Finger Lakes and Gorge Trail Loop. This 4.2-mile loop will have you making your way across both stone and dirt trails. There are also cavernous tunnels and views of the creek and gorge. You'll even trek past 19 waterfalls, making it a gorgeous hike you don't want to miss.

5. Punch Bowl Road 

Punch Bowl Road is an out-and-back trail located near Watkins Glen. This dirt/gravel road trail, which is a relatively easy 2 miles in length, is great for a casual stroll through nature or trail running. No matter how you use it, you'll get to take in views of the lake's dam and waterfall during your journey.
