Shocked by the general disrepair of the campground. Out of order/broken issues all over the place. Trash on the ground, and noisy neighbors after hours, that made it clear no one is patrolling the grounds. We even moved sites to try and improve the situation. The kids activities are great, but many advertised were closed. The pool is the only redeeming feature. We will not stay again. Misleading!

It was our second time at Ventura KOA, first time staying in the Oaks area. Very different from the Hidden Point where all the activities are close by, but Oaks definitely had its own charms. Lots of shade, plenty of space, tranquil atmosphere. We had a great time with our friends and family.

I was very upset that the pool closed down on one of the hottest days of our stay. I have 2 small children and specifically picked this KOA for the pool. It ruined our entire day and unfortunately the family was very miserable.

Every single trash can and dumpster was over flowing with trash and had bags stacked around it and nothing was collected while we were there. Our campsite was right next to a trash. Additionally there was loose boards and trash all over our site. The bathrooms were very unkempt. I called the office and no answer, walked up and no one there even though the hours were said to be open.

It was good until 80 or so kids came with a group and made a lot of noise at night time and made a mess in the girls and boys bathroom.

Great stay, love the river to catch and release fish. The obstacle course added a nice touch. The gem mining was loved by my 10 year old.

We were excited about out weekend at KOA, but after seeing out site, we decided not to stay. It was right next to some piles of debris. And our spot had no space to park our car.

The restrooms and showers are almost nonexistent. One men's restroom had all 3 urinals covered. The park is in a wonderful area but does not have the capability to handle large amounts of people. Unfortunately I have no desire to ever bring my family back or recommend to anyone

This was our 10th consecutive year camping at KOA, and as always it was amazing, our host Heather was exceptional, caring, attentive and very accommodating to our group specific needs. Calvary Chapel, Loves KOA.

The campsite overall is nice, but need to be taken care and a lot of maintenance needs. There is not enough showers for all the people, there are 2 showers for about 100 people, which made quite impossible to shower and the lines were ridiculous long. The hot water didn’t work. The steps for the restroom is very high and not suitable for children nor elderly people. There is no disable ramps.

Ventura KOA check in staff, zip line, and obstacle staff was friendly, supportive, and cool. There was one night staff who was unpleasant and kept telling us to be quiet even though we were not that loud. 9pm quiet hours is too early! Only 2 showers per camp area not enough, 1 was inop, water cold, and not that clean. Most campsites are dusty and maps inaccurate! Had fun but likely not go back.

Good location and nice staff. Thought there would be more showers instead of just a single stall. The hardest parts were not having any working water spouts as indicated on the map. Drove all over and never found one that worked. So we weren’t able to properly clean dishes. Could use a few more restrooms too. But overall we had a good time.

We loved the property & all of the activities to participate in but the only thing that would prevent me from returning was the lack of cleanliness of the restrooms. No soap, paper towels, and trash all over the flloors-all week. The entire week we were there, nobody cleaned them.

Tent camping was spacious. Zipline and staffing for it was of the utmost helpful. My kids had such an incredible experience. Only negative was the cleanliness of the restrooms, showers and pool area.

Campsite had beautiful shade, our neighbors were a bit noisy past midnight & didn’t extinguish their fire properly otherwise the peacocks were beautiful. The activities were fun. The staff were incredibly kind & silly to interact with. We definitely want to make it a spot we come back to annually if not more. Thank you so much, would recommend an updated map as it was tough to find our tent area

We tried to find/attend the Monday activity of wood painting, walked around and couldn’t find anyone. Texted the phone number ave never got an answer. Also the neighbor next to us on Sunday evening sent their dog unleashed to run after the peacocks. They were literally yelling “go get it”. It really was shocking and affected the quality of our trip. Ran through our campsite.

Everything was fine except for having to turn down some music my family was playing at 3pm. It was even loud but a male worker from the park told us to turn down the music when others were blasting their music. Not fair at all.

We definitely enjoyed our stay the staff was very nice my only complaint is having to stand in line for one shower I hope in the future that there's a possibility to have at least 2 available showers we stayed in the oaks other that we really enjoyed our stay and the activities!!! Thanks we will come back

The tent campsite had litter and not clean when we arrived. After two calls they came down to pick up. Also bathrooms were in need of cleaning and second day it was done. The kids loved the pool and playgrounds. Enjoyed the obstacle course and painting activity. Peacocks were a nice add.

This was one of the worst campsites on our cross country roadtrip. Poor signage, misleading names, poor conditions, loud wildlife. No transparency on these shortcomings ahead of time aside from “one bathroom is pit of order.”

Overall our stay was nice. I was bummed out that the showers were cold, but we enjoyed the peacocks, swimming, creek walking, and crafting.

Loved it our stay included 5 family all related. Loved our 40 and 41 site our only complaint would be the limited restrooms and showers for the whole area .

Tent site OA31 was nice, shaded, close to restrooms, pool, etc. Daily activities were fun, pool was clean and showers were pretty decent for campground showers. We would be MUCH more likely to return if there were tent sites near RV sites which would allow our entire group to be near each other. The huge separation is frustrating and definitely discourages us from returning.

My family did a 2-day 1-night stay on a tent site. It was during peek season however it seems to me that one restroom and one shower for 44 sites is not enough and only two water valves. Specially for the rates on sites seems little steep for our family. We camp at other KOA’s on trailer and tents so we were able to compared rates. We did enjoy the zip-lines and obstacles course for the kids.

Check in was easy and instructions on how to get to my campsite were helpful. I wish I would have been reminded there were loud peacocks cause it would have prevented a mini heart attack. But the peacock were beautiful and majestic.

Great place to stay for families. Had a wonderful time. Team there was incredibly helpful and kind. Beautiful views and they had something for everyone. It was our second time here and we will be back again.

We stayed in spot 34. When we got there, 35 took up most of the space, their truck even parked on our side of the campsite. There were 8 of them, 6 kids and the parents fought with each other most of the night. All the trash cans were full, facility needed cleaning, including but not limited to the bathroom. Don't get me started on the peacocks.

My family and I greatly enjoy staying at Ventura Ranch KOA. We feel comfortable and safe as we enjoy time together in nature along with our dogs. We appreciate the warmth and accessibility of staff, provisions like firewood, and seeing staff around the campground at different times during the day. We intend to return in the near future.

Our Cub Scout pack loved our stay at Ventura Ranch KOA. Our older scouts loved the thrill of the ropes course and were glowing with the sense of accomplishment that comes from doing something challenging and fun. Our little scouts who couldn't participate found joy in spending the day in the pool, bouncing on the giant pillow and exploring the creek. We cant wait to return.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
