We had to leave early because on the 2nd night we got ants in the RV and my kids and i were getting bit by ants as we tried to sleep. We all were awake all night on and off. It really sucked. Also we hoped the pool would be heated. It was ice cold which was a bummer.

I rated this stay as a four. This rating was because the men’s restroom was not cleaned when I arrived on Monday. I alerted the front office and they got on the phone which made it sound as though it was going to be cleaned. It was not cleaned until Thursday afternoon. Staff from the KOA did say that they only had three people on staff that do that kind of work.

We stayed in Pine site 12. They are doing maintenance on the sewer and we kept getting sewer smells thinking it was our trailer. We truly love the site but the smells ruined some of our meals. The fence is also falling and needs to be fixed..overall we love your site .,

Staff is super nice. It's a noisy campground though. If you are near the entrance you'll hear beep beep beep from staff vehicles at 630 AM and the peacocks are awake at night making noise. Still, I'd stay there again but ask that I not have a site near the entrance. I like the rules and they seem to be enforced, no problems from other campers. The place is clean and natural. Great for kids.

We loved it! The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the sewer smell next to our trailer and the pool wasn’t very clean. Otherwise we just loved it.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. But koa Ventura definitely need to fix their bathrooms. They anre old and run down. A lot of the bathrooms doors didn’t lock. Broken tiles covered with a rug.

When we arrived we were greeted in a friendly manner and given our camp spot which was nice however next to county road so we did have road noise on a regular basis. The bathrooms were clean at the begging of our stay but as more people checked in they got dirty/messy. No hot water for a shower, we were told to use the “better” showers which were also cold. It’s my 5th or 6th time at the KOA and enjoy there every time . Definitely we will go back there , one of the best RV park I know .

The staff is friendly. The workers on the golf cart need to slow down! Cars zoom through the campground. The campground can be kept clean a little better. For a KOA I would expect more. I will probably not return.

The campsites were alittle cramped. And not being able to play music is a bummer. The trail areas should be cleaned up, lots of trash. But all the staff we encountered were very nice.

Worst stay Ive EVER had at an rv park And Ive been doing full time travel blogging for 10 years. This was the worst experience I have had. Absolutely miserable. From the people partying half the night, to the space being absolutely infested with ants. They put me in a space knowing it was completely infested with what the office girl called “super ants on steroids” absolutely horrible

The activities were ok but I found the site dirty and the fence behind our spot leaning and pieces of it broken. The fence for the site next to us was completely gone which made it dangerous for our toddler. I found the plants around the pool dirty and the pool area had lots of different bungalows and things around that were unsafe. Pool gate rusted and needs paint. Big tents were dirty, unkept

Great visit. Perfect weather. Only complaint during holiday weekend was lack of dumpsters that overflowed; plumbing problems in most bathrooms; dangerous open construction progress near pool and lack of daily cleaning of pool. Otherwise great stay.

Sadly, I was only able to stay for one day after reserving three days for the 4th of July break. My daughter had an asthma attack, and we had to leave on the 4th and rush her to the hospital. Overall, the site is beautiful and very charming. I look forward to visiting again one day. Cheers. - Michael Houston

June of 2025 was the 5th time we have brought our granddaughter to camp at Ventura Ranch KOA. She never gets bored. There are so many activities for all ages. I would definitely recommend your family stay here!!! If you heated the pool just a little through out June that would be amazing!

We had a great time at the Ventura Ranch KOA over the 4th of July weekend! The RV campground was clean, peaceful, and family-friendly. Definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy the holiday. We’ll be back!

Restrooms were clean. Nice to have a dump station on site. The peacocks were entertaining but an annoyance in the early hours. There were dogs barking most of the night.

Good campsite. Front office staff should not close office and store for lunch en masse from at least 3:45 to 4:15 (prime check in time) and waste 30 minutes of our time sitting in a running car (along with several other waiting campers). Too many full time residents with messy camp sites, at least on our loop.

We have a 38’ fifth wheel trailer. Spots were tight. Had to get new spot from office. Couldn’t get in because of protruding RV and vehicles. Need to clear up tree branches from sites for slides. Husband had to clear them himself to be able to open and close slides. Need more bigger spots. Customer service was great. Park has a lot of things for families which we passed on to our kids with ki

Ventura Ranch never disappoints. Our Daughter and her family, plus another family, were tent camping at the same time, sadly, at the absolute opposite end of the campground. I wish there were a shortcut from The Pines to The Oaks. We certainly got our steps in. See you soon!

Most of restrooms and showers around the camp were out of service. The pool was dirty, the showers didn’t work. The campground was littered. We’ve stayed at multiple KOA’s and this was the worst. Mismanaged.

We’ve been camping to KOA for many years. 98% of the time they have full hookups available. Unfortunately Santa Paula KOA out of 200 maybe site they only have 10 maybe 15 full hookups and (1) ONE dump station. You need to checkout at 8am to be the 1st or 2nd in line to use the dump station. Campsite charges for water and electric is not reasonable. Other than that customer service is excellent.

Our stay was a short stay but an enjoyable one. The pool was large and able to accommodate many people. Our site was clean and what I was hoping for. We will most definitely be visiting Ventura Ranch KOA again. Nick, Saugus CA

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Only complaint is sites in the Alder group could use some upgrading and leveling out. Was difficult for several in our group to level their rigs

Love this place although the bathrooms seem to be being ignored. I was there for 4 nghts and they were never cleaned during that period. I could tell by the bugs in the sink and toilets were not cleaned. I wil be back because I love the property but thought it was worth noting.

Two thirds of the showers were closed. The remaining bathrooms were dirty. The park staff was helpful but seemed overwhelmed with everything going on. The trees need to be trimmed, our travel trailer was scraping them on our way in and out. The pool needs to be cleaned and didn't appear to have any chlorine. The lighting to get to the open showers was horrible. Bring your flashlights.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
