We loved the large RV spaces and the beautiful, mature trees that provided tons of shade. Although challenging to get to from our campsite, we loved the recreational amenities offered. Will definitely be back, and can't wait to try more KOA's.

The lady that onboarded us, was very nice. I believe her name is Karen. When I went back into the office to ask to switch campsites, she looked and was more than happy to do so for us. The only thing that I would say is critical, is the pool area where the chairs are located is dirty. There was too much trash for my liking. I saw a juice box the day before and it was still there the next day.

This was our first time staying at KOA Ventura and we couldnt be more pleased with our stay. The restrooms and showers we cleaned and the environment was perfect. We felt safe and comfortable. If there is anything to request is the cleanliness of the pool, I think it can be cleaned daily. We spend most of our days there and noticed the water was not cleaned daily. But other than this is awesome!

We had family join us. They rented a Wagon and we brought our Trailer. 4 grandkids and lots of fun!

Awesome KOA! The roaming peacocks are wild! So much for the kids to do. They loved the pool and biking track. We had so much fun and made so many memories. We will definitely be back once Highway 150 is opened again. We were aware of the closure, but we won't do the extra hour and a half drive again.

Mind that you have to take a detour from the coast to the campground! The road from Sta Paula to the camp is closed. We had a great stay here. Quiet, beautiful spots, surrounded by nature! Friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers. We enjoyed the zip line! Mind that you cannot do it with sandals or flip flops. Would definitely recommend it!

Use to love this campground. It has a lot of work to do to bring it back the way it was. Bathrooms need updated and grass area needs to be kept up. Also this time they did not have any wifi.

Poor facilities. Bathrooms were disgusting. Poor signage. Had people cutting through my camp site to get to bathrooms due to path over grown and no signage. Pool opened late everyday. Features closed. Very poor maintenance management. Everyone on site is super friendly. No knock on them. Seems under staffed.

Staff was nice and campground was clean. Only bummer was both office and pool were late to open on Friday 7/19 and Saturday 7/20. Was told due to people quitting or late.

Very nice site once we were able to pull our trailer up a very steep park road. Other than that, very quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery and lots of shade trees. We would come back.

sometimes hard to get thru on phone but they always call back if you leave a message. The phone ladies are very very nice. When you register in person everyone is very nice and helpful. This koa was really great for familys. We discovered crude oil in the watering hole and we told the office. The office immdiately told all new guests about the water. That tells me how much they care.

We had no prior notification of the highway 150 closure from Santa Paula hat lead to KOA Park. We had to turn around and drive and extra 50 miles to get to the rv park. We tried calling the park for three days ahead of time and never got an answer. Upon arrival the attitude of the staff was uncaring and unconcerned. Our previous stay was very accommodating.

The road closure nearly ruined everything. We love KOA bc of its proximity to the coast but oh my gosh what a surprise to find a 55 min detour. Also the trash bins were overflowing during our stay and the hillsides were overgrown with brush and weeds. Hopefully this was all a result of the temporary road closure and reduced staff. Hope to be back in the fall.

The folks in the office were great. However the facility was pretty run down. The pool was murky looking and cloudy. We were not able to swim in it. Also the bathroom at the birch area had major spiders including black widows with eggs. It was pretty scary. I know it's camping and all but it was uncomfortable to see that nobody really took care of the insect problem near the restrooms. Thank you

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Overall I think some grounds maintenence is needed, trees trimmed, bushes cut back etc. The pool was nice, we stayed Fri-Monday. Sunday afternoon in the pool, we could not see our feet, drowning red flag if someone was at the bottom of the pool. Very scary possibility.

Trees need to be trimmed; they rub against the trailers! and the dog park area is full of brush and weeds and there’s no shade also. That’s ridiculous that you aren’t allowed to play music there!!!!

Good stay. Seems maintenance and grounds are being neglected as many areas have become overgrown and the bathrooms were a bit buggy and unkept from past stays. A number of showers weren’t out of order as was the ice machine at the front. The front office staff are the best, and always had the answers.

Ventura Ranch is very poorly maintained compared to other KOA’s I’ve stayed, the facility is run down and the site we stayed was next to a bunch of full time rvs that had massive amounts of junk, weeds and spider webs and poorly maintained RVs, it did not feel like a Vacation but a stay at a local trailer park.

It was noted that there would be WiFi, and there was not. Also, when we checked in we were told no fires were allowed due to red alert, but several folks had fires. Also, 10pm quiet period was not adhered to. Never saw KOA staff patrol to make sure people were following rules. Bathrooms were not conveniently located. Overall, the lay out of campgrounds seemed to be catered to tepee rentals.

Really like the camping environment (not like a parking lot!) at your KOA. Only improvements that I’d recommend is to pull weeds in the labyrinth and create a larger, more interesting dog park. Thanks!

The showers were TERRIBLE. The water temperature could not be adjusted and was boiling hot (on all three showers). The light timer on one shower is broken and the other shower would nor drain. GROSS! The pool closes at 7 PM. Really? We weren't ready to use the pool until 7 PM most days. Ridiculous. It's summer! The pool shouldn't close until 10 PM.

We didn’t have full hook-ups; app issues. Franky was AMAZING & so kind & helpful. Jaimie & Ryan in the office were superb along with Aaron in maintenance who gave my dad a ride back up to the site from the pool. Everyone was so helpful & kind. Loved the peacocks roaming. Showers, pool water & grounds by the bounce pillow could have been cleaned up better. But nothing too bad. I’d go back.

It was wonderful! We come Here often and it’s one of our favorite places to stay. We spent a day at the pool, a day at the creek and a day in Ojai. And we love the staff!

The showers at the meeting hall - nonworking lights. knobs missing from fan controls, not clean. The peacocks are unbearably loud. Not a great camping experience.

Facilities were NOT maintained ie: Bathrooms dirty and pathway from Alder were overgrown, showers were dirty, missing knobs for fan and temp, no lights - had to use flashlight :( . The sites and trash bins were not well maintained ie: fire pits, trash bins overfull etc. On a positive note - the store staff were very sweet.

Absolutely stunning campsite with shade. The men’s bathroom lights near office did not work. Spiders and mold in some of the showers. Spiders in ladies restroom. Walk up to those showers is loose gravel and dirt. Dangerous walking back down with wet flip flops. Please pave it and the drives or at least more gravel on the drives. Amazing amenities. Can’t say enough good about the pool is beauti

Went to the KOA site and found out the road was closed, the alternate route was very narrow with switchbacks. Getting there was difficult but leaving was worse. We had to leave the car disconnected so my wife could drive in front of me and let me know when I could swing wide to make the switchbacks . Made the stay very stressful. I wouldn’t recommend going there until the road is fixed.
