Third year as a family staying at Ventura Ranch. Last year teepee, this year we rented two cabins one with a kitchen. Both are very nice. We are a family with three kiddos age, 6-8. The camp ground feels safe and clean. The youngers do zip line and love it. We do a lot of hiking. Bouncy pillow and painting bird houses fun. Reserved for next year. This is a comfortable family camp ground we love.

First of all, the only reason this isn’t a perfect 10 and I’d be hesitant to recommend to a friend is because of one thing and one thing only….the peacocks. While, beautiful, those loud, annoying birds decided to fight my car in the early morning when it saw its reflection on the door and pecked and clawed the entire side of our brand new car, causing $1,500 of damage. Fabulous, staff very friendly and grounds were very tidy. Boys loved the jumping pillow and bigfoot area. Will definitely back. I am now a Koa rewards member :)

teepee's were nice Campround was dirty. Trash everywhere Teepees leaked from the top and the sides. With rain in the forecast there was no instructions from staff about how to minimize getting wet. front flap had no good closure system. The ties could only really be tied them from the outside. Flap stayed open or you had to tie it from the outside and contort yourself and squeeze in

Love the amenities; creek, zip line, bike path, goldmine, moon bounce. For a second thought I’d like the pool heated, but that would make it to full with Adults! Having a movie night, or Big Foot night walk would be cool as well

WE stayed in the covered wagons and have a few suggestions that would improve them greatly and not cost you very much at all. Add about 4 handing hooks per wagon (you could attach them to the support beams that hold up the wagon canvas). Put a garbage can in each one as well. Our biggest complaint was that the pool bathrooms and showers were not the nicest. The showers had mold on the wood

We absolutely loved it, very clean, quaint and peaceful. Staff was very friendly. Made a few new friends and will definitely be returning with friends and family.

Had a great stay! The staff at registration went above and beyond. The teepees were wonderful. Kids had so much fun on the jumping balloon and pool. I told all my friends at work about Ventura Ranch KOA.

The bathroom door needs some adjustment had to slam it to get it to close.Would get a bigger cabin next time.Meet family here for the 2nd time everyone likes the location and not a long drive. Will probably choose this location again.

We have stayed in Cabins at Ventura KOA multiple times and all was great. This time around the cabin was not as clean as other times. There were old dried up coffee bags in the coffee maker and some of the plates had dried up food stuck to them. Not a big deal but we had never encountered this.

Came for a Girl Scout trip. GS stayed in Tee Pees and Stagecoachs. The rest of my family stayed in the loft cabin. Everyone had a great time! The zipline was great for my 11 year old son. The cabin was nice to be inside with air conditioning/heater and bathroom and shower. Could use more shelves in kitchen area but other than that it was great! Thanks KOA for the memories!

I am not returning due to my experience. The hot water for the shower did not work. I understood that it takes time to heat but there is something else wrong. I had hot water for 30 seconds then it went cold. I told the front office after my first night there and was told that it had been fixed. However, the same thing happened the next time. I told the front desk again on checkout.

Campground had various construction materials laying around which was not ideal. It felt like we were camping next to a construction zone. The bathrooms and showers could be better maintained since they were often very dirty, clogged or broken. There should also be at least one water spigot between 2 or 3 campgrounds. Spigot too far.

We have stayed at 26 other KOAs. This one is one of the most peaceful while still offering everything we love about camping and KOAs. We have some recommendations: open the pool before Memorial Day if weather permits, put in a Gaga pit between the playground and the rock climbing area, and offer a night activity like a movie night or flash light lolly pop hunt.

I didnt realize the teepees would be so outdated inside and mattresses so old, it was also stuffy in there. Public restrooms were also not cleaned well and had a bad smell.

Our safari tent walls were moldy and pullout bed mattress was dirty. Lot of bugs in bathroom area. Freaked out my 12 year old. Peacock population was overwhelming and loud.

Loved it here! Doug was awesome at check in! Restrooms/ showers were super clean, shower had warm water!!! Besides the annoying peacocks, had a wonderful stay!

Super family friendly place, and the kindness of the staff cannot be overstated. I wish they were clearer on their website about which activities are not available off season and when (pool, gem mining). Cabin was very nice, but dish washer needed repair.

This was our families first camping adventure, and it was amazing. Check in was easy. Ryan at the front desk walked us through everything, was super friendly and welcoming, and went the extra mile to make sure our kiddos had a great experience! Our cabin was awesome. Three days of nonstop laughter. We walked to the creek, had a blast on the jumping pillow, and rock wall. We will be back soon!

Our stay was great! We had an amazing time! We would have liked the rock wall opened at least once during our stay, but other than that it was a perfect spring break location! Kudos to the owner for letting us borrow his tool to help us jump our friend’s car. The labyrinth, bmx style bike trails, and jumping pillow kept our kids entertained for days. They also really enjoyed the creek. Thank you

This is my family and I second time staying at this KOA location. we stayed in MBC1 cabin, the location is beautiful. However, once we went inside the cabin I was disappointed. The cabin is dated and was not clean. The baseboards had built up dirt, also a large hole just above the headboard with patch work. The bed also had spider webs on the top of it. A lot of work needs to be done.

We loved the Cabin! Wonderful to have a full size refrigerator and oven. The bed was comfortable and we had a great time! Definitely would like to come back and stay again!

The staff was great. Very friendly. First they moved us to a better Teepee because of storm damage. Next they moved us to a Wagon when rain was coming.

Iv never been camping and I didn’t want to go, oh my goodness I’m so glad I did. I’m ready to come back. I drove 8 hours to spend the weekend and it was amazing! I had a cabin and it was so nice. The only thing I’d do different is make sure I didn’t share a wall with neighbors

This facility is the best campground we have ever visited. The amount of activities and diverse spaces to visit within the property were perfect. The amenities, play spaces, adventure course, dog run, etc etc were so fabulous. We can’t wait to return and bring more friends.

We stayed in a cabin and it was amazing! Super clean and fully stocked. The staff is friendly and always smiling. They make you feel welcomed. The only down side was an awkward encounter with a staff member at the counter who rang me up for ice creams. My kids and I felt she was rude to us but that was one person. Everything else was better than expected.

Our stay was stupendous! We can't remember the names of the entire staff we encountered but "great" began with Carol! Alexis & Sarah, too! The store is filled with things you need & things you'll love. The site was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous & well maintained. Can't say enough about the staff. And love the peacocks & hens!! One of our best CG's! Be back soon! Great location close to Ventura Harbor, Ojai & downtown Santa Paula.!
