We had a wonderful stay! Our TeePee space was incredible (3 & 4). Our neighbors staying in the covered wagon were less then good neighbors. They were loud well after quiet hours. We asked them to please be quiet as our kids were trying to sleep (10:30pm) so they moved inside but they were up to at least 2am - with loud discussion/fighting. We were intimidated by them to say something again.

We stayed Thursday through Sunday. We were very impressed by how clean the campground is. Also, although the campground is family oriented (lots of kids) we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the campground was by 8:30pm. The only issue we did have was that the restrooms by the pool were not all working, as well as one of the showers and there was no warm water.

The pool was broke when we first got there, then something was wrong with the ph, so we couldn’t go in again. Finally when we did go in the pool it was dirty, with pine needles and bugs in the pool.� Then our campsite didn’t have a picnic table. So I tried calling the office 6 times and nobody answered. So I finally had to drive to the office and let them know. Picnic table arrived aft

Upon arrival on August 4th we called the office to report that our gas bbq was not working and we were unable to cook for our 5 and 7 year old children. Did not hear back so went into Santa Paula for dinner. Next day someone came by and left a note and a lighter saying that the bbq was not working but to try and light same with the lighter that was left on the bbq. NO CONTACT FROM MGMT!!!

After we arrived to #8 and found that the AC was not working I called and the maintenance guy came twice but was not able to fix it, the front desk found us another cabin to move to and when we arrived there was many things that were missing in that unit (no freezer, no propane BBQ,, no glasses, no bowls and no cook top stove etc) they brought items that were needed and went above and beyond!

It was my family and I’s first trip to Ventura Ranch and we loved it! The cabins were amazing and the pool and jumping pillow were the kids favorite!! This will definitely be our campsite for years to come!

I like how each site has big space so we are not too close to other guests. Our kids enjoyed playing on jumping pillow and by the creek. Lot of space to walk around or play. Things we didn’t like are busted light bulb & step light inside our wagon (almost fell 2x) and their shower curtain smells terrible. I wish they are more consistent in maintaining their site clean and working.

This was my first time at a KOA and it will be my last. The activities were not as advertised which was the main reason I selected this campground. The obstacle course was only open Tues-Thurs and the additional fee was not communicated when making a reservation. The refrigerator in the cabin didn’t work. My family disliked staying here! We got a wagon but had to change to a tent because the wagon smelled horrible! It was a hot box that made the smell worse. The bathroom only had 1 shower working. The grounds needed cleaning. All of the pool chairs were dirty or had some bird droppings on them. The pool was dirty. Horrible experience. you should inform guest that the unique amenities cost money

We had a nice stay overall, but there were several issues that affected our experience. The outside stair railing was loose, and the spacing between the bars is dangerously wide, our 2-year-old almost slipped through. The bed was slanted, the coffee pot and the dishwasher didn't work. We feel these safety and maintenance concerns should be addressed.

Cabin was adorable, clean and comfortable. Campsite was cozy but worked well. Not many activities in the KOA campground itself so we traveled to Solvang and Ventura for day trips. Having a bbq to use was great and the partial kitchen was a bonus.

KOA Santa Paula stay was very disappointing. Check-in code didn’t work, waited 1+ hour in heat for maintenance to end up giving master code. Cabin was dirty: dirty floor, dishes, and stained sheets. Had to clean myself. TV lacked power cord. Poorly maintained, not as advertised with “home amenities.” No apology. Won’t recommend. I request compensation for my family’s discomfort

I my family and I enjoyed our stay. My main complain is that the shower near the pool was not working properly. The water pressure was horrible (literally just drops coming out) and the second day someone pooped in the shower. So I couldn’t even shower the second day. We stayed in cabin2. It was clean and ready when we got there. Parking was a little tight with parking for cabin 3 right next to us. Trim the bushes and trees arond the cabin for easier access in the drive way.

The campgrounds are carefully taken care of and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great spot.

We enjoyed our stay -- loved the peacocks, the pool, and the creek. My kids spent hours on the bounce pad. That said, the bathrooms by the pool are falling apart. While they do need to be cleaned more often and thoroughly, especially on the weekend, they truly need a renovation. Parts of the floor in the women's restroom were sinking, one of the showers was out of order.

The cabin was run down, towels were old, shower sprayed water out and entire bathroom was wet, cobwebs and spiders inside the cabin, peacocks damaged our car, peacocks poop everywhere, peacock sound took away from rest and relaxation all day and night, pool chairs were old and dingy, pine needles and cones all around the pool unable to walk barefoot. Rock climbing and gold mining were unavailable.

Great stay overall but there were problems. No outdoor chairs at Cabin 4 except 2 lounge chairs. The previous residents had dumped the remains of 3 fires right on the patio and no one had cleaned it up. We had a grease fire in the barbecue grill at Cabin 2 because the grill had not been cleaned prior to our stay. Smoke alarms went off in Cabin 8 but the staff responded very quickly which was great

1. There was a mini fridge, but no freezer. 2. The cabin could've used more hooks on the wall for storage, and it would be nice if there were a desk and chair for getting work done. 3. Some cleaners were cleaning the unit adjacent to us (separated only by a locked door) early in the morning (before 9AM), and it was extremely loud and obnoxious. This should be done at a different time of day.

we took our 4 grand kids ages 5-11, it was our first time , we booked the TEEPEES , they are so cute and comfy!! The Zip lining for the kids was a lot of fun and exciting ! the kids also did the treasure hunt so cool . weather was perfect , pool was nice and cool !! i love that they are Dog friendly. the creek was fun ! we will definitely book again !

We loved every minute we were there, I only have one complain. The chairs and wooden deck just needed to be cleaned of of spider webs. I got a broom and had to clean all the outdoor patio chairs �� and got all spider webs offsite the chairs and deck. Other than that it was AMAZING thank you so much ���

The woman's restrooms in the pool area need revamping the bathroom has holes and needs an entire new floor. When I showered Saturday morning there was no hot water. I took a cold shower and my kids would not shower in cold water. There's only 1 shower in the pool area and that doesn't suffice for that area. We had to drive around looking for available showers.

We love the location and the staff is amazing! Our kids love riding bikes and playing by the river. The one thing that was a bummer was the bathrooms and showers weren’t working so we had to walk pretty far for a flushing toilet.

The cabin was filthy at every turn. Sheets had stains, body hair on dining table, A/C blew moldy smelling air out. Loft had dog/pet fur even though the policy stated no pets allowed. The bathroom had a strong urine odor, dusty surfaces, bad odors, dead bugs on window sills, and spiders inside. Beds were uncomfortable and we ended leaving early and never will return nor recommend to anyone.

The campground is great for families. Lots of amenities for the Littles. However, the bathroom/shower areas need better maintenance. Many of the showers were out of order. Some didn’t drain well. Others would go from hot to cold and back again. And still others lacked adequate water pressure.

Everything was fine except our Wagon didn’t have the electricity we were promised. We called that Friday night for help, yet no one returned our call. We stayed in Wagon B. The wagon was nice, but dusty and it has webs all over the bunk bed. The bed on the lower bunk need replacement and it would be nice to change the beds to were we can disinfect them before putting our own bed sheets.

I gave 4 stars because the shower in the cabins are either burning hot or freezing cold. And then the our entire stay at the KOA smelled like sewer. And at $300 per night that’s just things that shouldn’t be like that. I would have given 5 stars if those things weren’t like that. The place is nice and has fun things to do. Staff is very kind.
