We stayed in the teepees and they were awesome. Great set up for families with small kids and loved the pool and river. The girls in the camp store were very sweet. We were bummed that the outdoor shower by the pool didn’t work and lots of bathrooms and showers were out of order. We wish we knew you must be 80lbs to zip line or rockclimb. Our kids are 6, 7 and 9 and couldn’t take advantage of

We enjoyed our camping trip with friends and family. However, for the price we paid I would have liked a nicer lady’s bathroom and showers. Only one shower was available the other was out of service. Hopefully you can hire a plumber to repair the either scalding hot water or the cold water situation as not only is it an inconvenience but poses a danger to everyone especially young children.

Everything was fine, but we did not have any hot water to shower with and even though the day was hot, showering before bed was brutal. I had to boil water to be able to bathe my toddler.

Our group had an amazing time. Staff were fantastic! I was disappointed when I had to pay $100 for cancelling an extra site because it was 5 days out not 7. Also- please update the bathrooms by the pool. The bathrooms could be a reason people don’t come.

Great stay but very upset with pool maintenance! The manhole in the pool area was uncovered and they put a patio chair to "block off". My 4 yr old godson sat on the chair and fell thru! He was covered in feces from knees down. We are lucky he didn't go face first!

We love the Ventura Ranch KOA. The people that work there are friendly. A few issues that have been a problem 3 years in a row. Sewage smell. Deferred maintenance. Example: Our patio chairs were all falling apart. I fixed them with an allan wrench. The sink in the bathroom was plugged and unusable for 3 days. We requested assistance by phone and in person but no one ever came.

My family and I have stayed at multiple KOAs and always enjoyed ourselves except this time. The overall condition of the Ventura KOA campground was disappointing. The teepee site we stayed at was dirty, frogs were living under mattress, bathrooms were dirty, showers were out of order, the trash was overflowing. There were limited activities, staff seemed unengaged. Will not be staying here again.

Check in was ok. I was extremely disappointing with the cabin I stayed in. In the picture it showed more room with a table etc. the cleanliness of the place need some work. The cobwebs inside and outside the cabin was terrible. The bathroom floor has a sink in the floor and one of the bedroom head lamps was broken. Would I stay there again, I would not stay here again I stayed in cr13. Patio dirty

Everything feels old and dirty. More staff needed to work in very busy zip lining obstacle course. Bathrooms were broken and dirty. Positive side staff were nice and activities provided for kids.

I love this place! I only gave it a four because every time I’ve stayed, my room code never works and we have to wait for maintenance to assist with it.

Our stay at the cabin was enjoyable overall, but there are areas that need attention: The cabin needs maintenance; the patio furniture was torn and unusable, fire pit crumbled with a hole depositing ashes on the patio. Windows were dirty, loft had not been swept or dusted recently (photos upon request). Addressing these issues would significantly improve guest experiences. Tanya 805-354-2993

This was my family's 4th trip to the Ventura Ranch KOA, and we might be choosing somewhere new next summer. It feels like there isn't enough staff to keep things worth the price for the cabins (almost $300 a night). Ropes course and zip line should be open daily. Pool should be cleaned. So should the cabin’s floor. Overall it’s fine; it’s glamping, but there are better places out there.

First time as visitors and it did not disappoint. Amazing views, many activities for children, park is clean, people are respectful and no annoyances. Would visit again.

We came here with 3 other families who have never camped before. We were 8 adults, 10 kids, 7 under 5 years old. Our group stayed in all 4 glamping tent, it felt like we had the area to ourselves. It was a little far from the pool/playground but we made it work. My only complaint is the peacocks waking us up before 5am.

Worst restrooms I've seen in any KOA we've been to. Showers by the pool all were "out of order" and the closest ones were 15 mins walk, how convenient do you think it is with little kids? Wagon totally seen better times - not leveled, dusty and the heater is a joke that could easily get all you family die from gas leak, cause the ignitor just randomly stops working. good nature around though.

This was our 5th KOA visit and I would say it was the worst one. Our cabin was next to construction site where people were digging and banging all day. It was too noisy and dangerous for our family with two kids 4 & 6. Also, our cabin was filthy. Inside was extremely dusty, different bugs in the room, bird poops and left over foods on the chairs and table. not sure we’ll be back for this locatio

The check in was very easy. All staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed and the activities kept us busy having a fun and memorable stay.

We had a great time especially the kids! 3 families. We love the cabin views, the river walk, pool, and the ziplines adventure course! Very friendly staff! Second stay for us and went with friends the second time! Don’t forget the peacocks! Great times!

We had an issue with the heater which was eventually addressed and we were compensated for our trouble the bathrooms were dirty, the locks not working, and the shower not working. I don't like the extra cost of the extra things, the fact you can't play music! The staff was nice and great.

Had a great time, although I wish we knew more about the glamour package I just thought it was dream catchers and a pretty rug. Full linen’s, pillows, blankets, and towels. We will definitely upgrade to this package next visit. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Very welcoming office crew and employees. The deluxe cabin was nice although, the porch had a lot of peacock poop & some lights needed to be fixed. The main problem were the very ANNOYING PEACOCKS!!!!

Ryan, the zip line instructor, was helpful and friendly. She made all of the nervous people in the group feel better about the ropes course and the Eagles Nest zipline. Kathy, at the check-in, was helpful when we called with questions prior to arrival and when we were checking out. We enjoyed the studio cabin so much.

The Venture Ranch KOA is one of the best experiences we’ve had! Such a beautiful and fun place! I’d personally like to thank and recognize Kristi (and her sweet daughter) in the office! She was Extremely helpful and gave us a genuine welcome right away! We would come back just to see them!

The Tipi by the creek was a lovely spot. The picnic table at our camp spot was in very bad condition. The seats were very rough, almost un-usable. The adventure course was great for my teens but my 7 year old was very disappointed that there was no zip line for him. The bathrooms were in poor condition. No water pressure and no hot water, broken doors etc. Staff was AMAZING!

I love the campground, the jumping pillow and the creek. 4 of our families came and we all stayed in 3 cabins and 1 RV. we love the ambience. Things that could be better: the toilet didn't flush by the second day. the tank of the toilet was running the first day we got there. the windows sills were dusty. As soon as we pull up the shades, dust fly everywhere. We wish it would be cleaner.
