They overcharged me, but the staff was so quick in refunding me and fixing the situation. I had such a lovely stay. The cabin was clean and beautiful. I would definitely come back.

Restrooms were clean but only disabled shower had hot water. There was some trash at our campsite upon arrival. Lots of cigarette butts and bottle caps and broken glass which I didn’t appreciate having young kids. Lots of activities for the kids to do which was great. Unheated pool was freezing. Kids didn’t want to play after a while because they were so cold. Nice location, needs clean up.

What a great experience staying here. Cabin was great. Had all the amenities like a hotel. Loved the Adventure park and the staff was top notch.

We love the Ventura KOA. Plenty of activities and it’s so close to Santa Paula that I can order pizza delivery! I only have one complaint, and that is that the cabins and facilities are not ADA compliant. I have wheelchair bound parents. It is extremely difficult to get them into the cabins safely. I won’t be able to bring them next year, which is sad because I would love to keep this traditi

Had a wonderful time from start to finish. My only suggestion would be to get a quicker response to texts since they were averaging 5-8 hour responses, which isn't helpful since some of them were time sensitive (like questions about the gem mining). We really had a great time and will be back again!

The cabin was clean and very comfortable for my family. The kids enjoyed the pool, bounce pad and playground. They did not want to leave and are already requesting to go back. It was a nice weekend getaway.

Overall we really liked the camp ground. Staff members were really friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of cleanliness in our cabin. The coffee pot was filthy and the floors were really dirty. We don’t wear shoes inside our socks were so dirty from the moment we stepped in. Seems like the floor hasn’t been mopped in a while.

I’m turning 76 soon and since I am no longer able to travel in my truck camper, this was my first time in a cabin. I was comfortable and appreciated very much the toilet and sink. I tried to activate the TV but was not successful with my efforts. The young lady who checked me in the day I arrived was very sweet and helpful. Since I’m Deaf she kindly wrote her comments and instructions on paper

Overall, we had a good stay, with room for improvement. 1. Communication was lacking, no one returned my voicemail or emails. 2. Needs more maintenance. Litter in the campground in general. The bathrooms were cleaned which was appreciated. This is my first time staying at a KOA as an adult with my family, it seems like KOA's are inconsistent. I'd likely return, with these expectations. Stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA in a fully loaded cabin—so easy, just show up and enjoy. Pool opened early, plus zip lines, gem mining, and tie-dye kept everyone busy. Loved seeing wild peacocks roaming around. Fun, relaxing getaway—can’t wait to come back!

I really liked staying in the TeePee and the area around these site where nice. The staff that I encountered were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely come back and bring friends.

We were disappointed in our accommodations, not with the park. We found the activities, pool, park, etc to be great which is why I gave this stars. However our actual accommodations were disappointing. For that price point we dealt with a huge amount of spiders/remains of spiders, barely clean bathroom, living space and rickety furniture. We would not stay in these higher price cabins again.

We had late check in and they called to say they'd leave the envelope for us at the front. When we arrived, it was not there. We had to call the after hours number and someone came to open the unit but then the code didn't work. We had to wait again for someone else to come open the unit. We stayed in a teepee by the river, which was lovely. The front desk staff made it easy for us to switch sites when the spot we booked was not to our liking. The kids and grown ups had a blast on the ropes course. And the pool area is stunning. The showers near us were not working when we were there, but all in all, this is a great camp!

Everything was great except for the shower in our cabin. We had great difficulty turning it on and off. Once we got it working, the water pressure was awful and down right painful. To pay as much as we did it should’ve been a lot better. I live in the county and had to take my son home to bathe him.

The studio cabin was perfect. You may consider replacing the BBQ table as the bench is very narrow. Some fresh towels and more coffee packets mid stay would have been appreciated.

My family had a great time, but I was disappointed with this KOA. Pros: Zip lining was awesome! Our cabin was clean, just as pictures. Cabin 3 has an amazing view. Kids loved the jumpy. Cons: We requested an extra pillow and blankets, but they never came. The water pressure in the kitchen sink was a trickle. We typically tent camp, but I would not at this facility due to lack of bathrooms.

The place is really nice, kids loved the campground. First time there. Cabin was ok for the weekend stay, a little dusty but we are out there in the nature right!. But we had a great stay.

We were told the pool would be closed so none of the adults brought shorts or swimwear! We were extremely happy they opened the pool early & our teens were able to use the pool & the other amenities and had a blast. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins that worked really well for our family of 5. It was very clean and we were very comfortable. We had a really great time and hope to return.

We had problems with the AC that were never fully resolved, the firepit and grill were not clean of ash and trash from the last person, neither was the coffee pot. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and we had issues flushing the toilet. On top of all of that, we feel as though the description and photos of the cabin we chose did not match what we were given. We will probably not return.

It was off peak when we went so we are able to enjoy the pool, playground and world labyrinth. We occupied CP04 Deluxe Cabin. The cabin offers comfortability. Bath towels are all clean but some lints a lot. Things to improve. 1. Wet and dry mop the floor 2. Install roof or tarp in patio to enjoy dinning and bonfire outside when its raining. CP04 3. Add laundry facility 4. Add hot sauna

My only real complaints would be that the mattress in our loft was filthy/stained and I questioned if I should have my child sleep on it and that given these weeks are Spring Break, I would think more activities would be scheduled. Tuesday had none and the larger mining machine was off.

I love the many attractions for kids. Only thing is there was no explanation at KOA website that approaching to sleeping loft is by ladder instead of stairs. We had to warn the kids to be careful whey they went up and down. Overall this campground is very attractive. Thank you.

Our family had a great stay in Cabin 5. We were so excited the pool was open already (although it would have been good to know before we showed up, as we weren't completely prepared with swim stuff). We'd love to come back next year at the same time if the pool was open. Also, there was no hot water in our cabin. They came to repair it but didn't seem to work. Overall a great stay, though!

It was a lovely campground. Our cabin, had no cold warm water for our showers after the 1st night. The bathrooms and showers for the campground, near us were honestly so gross. I usually will alway come back to KOAs but not this one. The location was beautiful & the campground was not terrible but for the cost I did expect more.

The grounds are very nice. I don’t think it’s right to charge $305 a night for an area you can’t use. We were in NBC1. It looked like the best cabin there. We arrived late so we couldn’t really tell the layout. The next day our area was overtaken by the peafowl birds. We discovered that there was peafowl excrement everywhere. On our deck, patio, firepit area and our shoes.. EVERYWHERE!!

The activities and landscape are incredible. Ryan at the front is a doll and very helpful. It’s nice having the river and hiking so close by. Most of the girls tried the zip line and rope course and absolutely loved it! The only road bump was many things in multiple cabins was not working, including the air conditioning and they never came out to fix it.

Beautiful deluxe cabin. Kitchen was nice however we did not know that there was no oven, and we had planned for anoven dish. Notes: Shower drain was blocked, we find ourselves standing in water when taking a shower; no oven; weber grill was low on propane; the blankets on the bunk beds were TOO SMALL not even twin sized, only good for a small child, my kids are taller than I am!

I thought the campgrounds were clean and nice. A lot of things for the kids to do and the zip line was the best. The only dislike was cabin CR21. We had problems with kitchen lights coming in and some of the outlets did not work. It had a funky musty smell as well. I enjoyed all of the beautiful peacocks as well. Next time I will request a cabin closer to office, looking over the creek.

The property is beautiful. We loved all of the peacocks roaming around, along with the trails, bounce pad, and activities. The cabin was clean "enough" but clearly wasn't mopped, and our sheets had stains on them. The staff didn't provide an activity packet, when we came back and asked for it we were given the activities for the weekend before. I would expect better for the price we paid.

The campground is very cool. However, the restrooms were never cleaned through the duration of our stay. Our wagon was out of propane for the heater and it was a bit of a headache to get it refilled

We stayed in the cabin everything was awesome very cleaned very nice only thing I have to complain about is the bed size we had the worst sleep ever my hubby and I on a queen size bed is not the best two nights of uncomfortable sleep are backs and our bodies were hurting very badly.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
