We stayed at one of the smaller cabins ST08 and it was so beautiful being that close to the river bay hearing all the bird rover and peacocks. The only think I didn’t like was vehicle parking. We paid for two cars and find parking in that location was very difficult. Maybe the parking area a little bit bigger

The campground was nice, but needed a lot of updating. The stairs to the pool are rickety/hazardous and there were piles of trash (broken chairs from the pool and construction pieces) in random parts of the campground. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and clean enough though.

Absolutely fantastic! We had a large group of family and we were able to enjoy all the campsite had to offer. Amazing staff and help. Everything was clean and easily accessible. Love the Adventure course! The kids loved the bounce balloon and pool! We stayed at the Teepees and wow! They were fantastic! We are planning on doing this camping as an annual event. Everyone had a great time.

The sewage smell was constant throughout the stay. The cabins are great but needs to be better maintained. The ac was very dusty so having it on, it was just blowing dust otherwise the cabin was fairly clean. But the outside of the cabins and the patio furniture was filled with cobwebs. We had a teepee but didn’t use it bc the wooden bed frames had mold and the top of the teepee had cobwebs.

We stayed in one of the teepees. It was nice, the bed was good. The teepee could’ve been cleaned a bit more from spiderwebs. The door didn't reach the bottom was concerned about critters and insects coming in. No working showers near us, had to walk up the hill, those showers were clean. The obstacle and zip line course was great. The employees running the place were awesome and very kind.

We had a great time and celebrated a major birthday and family reunion there. We rented many cabins just had an issue with a few not having any hot water but propane was brought to one of the cabins quickly. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

After check-in a NOTE in our cabin informed us that the water was to be turned off the following day. This information should have been presented in person at check-in. The hot water on all days lasted only minutes. The WiFi never worked. The TV never worked at all causing grief with our grandkids. I will be seeking a partial refund since these conveniences are the reason we rented a cabin.

We had no hot water, no internet, we were told that we would have a propane grill so we planned our dinners on that but we didn’t have that so we wasted that food. The water was completely shut off from 9am until 7pm (notice stated it would return at 1pm and the bathrooms were so disgusting as time went on. Sent an email and no response

On our second day, there was a scheduled water shut off from 9am to 1pm for maintenance. As a result, there were no restrooms available for use. The water did not come back on until almost 5 pm. When calling the office for information, no phones were being answered, for hours. I had to drive up from my cabin and ask what was going on. The restrooms were disgusting, as every toilet had feces.

We had an incredible stay and the kids had a blast with their friends!! Staff was super helpful with after hours check-in, highlighting our specific camp details.. Absolutely wonderful! The facilities were excellent and such a fun setup for kids. The ropes course was the real highlight, challenging for both kids and parents alike. We will definitely be back!!

Some things need upkeep like the bathroom by the pool, overflowing trash cans etc. Most activities aren’t open during the week, and it was pretty noisy between the peacocks, close neighbors and other sounds.

No hot water. Called multiple times and was told someone would come help us, no one ever did. The whole campsite smelled like sewage and was poorly maintained. Would not return.

Had a great experience for my first time at KOA. The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and even with no hot water and stove not working for the first night, the staff were very attentive in trying to fix it as soon as possible! Really appreciated! Definitely would recommend to others, we will be back. Thank you again.

Overall the stay was great and my family had a fun weekend. The bathrooms and shower were still under construction which is the only reason not giving full 5 stars. But the staff was very friendly and helpful and loved the adventure course.

Restrooms were clean but only disabled shower had hot water. There was some trash at our campsite upon arrival. Lots of cigarette butts and bottle caps and broken glass which I didn’t appreciate having young kids. Lots of activities for the kids to do which was great. Unheated pool was freezing. Kids didn’t want to play after a while because they were so cold. Nice location, needs clean up.

We love the Ventura KOA. Plenty of activities and it’s so close to Santa Paula that I can order pizza delivery! I only have one complaint, and that is that the cabins and facilities are not ADA compliant. I have wheelchair bound parents. It is extremely difficult to get them into the cabins safely. I won’t be able to bring them next year, which is sad because I would love to keep this traditi

Had a wonderful time from start to finish. My only suggestion would be to get a quicker response to texts since they were averaging 5-8 hour responses, which isn't helpful since some of them were time sensitive (like questions about the gem mining). We really had a great time and will be back again!

The cabin was clean and very comfortable for my family. The kids enjoyed the pool, bounce pad and playground. They did not want to leave and are already requesting to go back. It was a nice weekend getaway.

Overall we really liked the camp ground. Staff members were really friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of cleanliness in our cabin. The coffee pot was filthy and the floors were really dirty. We don’t wear shoes inside our socks were so dirty from the moment we stepped in. Seems like the floor hasn’t been mopped in a while.

I’m turning 76 soon and since I am no longer able to travel in my truck camper, this was my first time in a cabin. I was comfortable and appreciated very much the toilet and sink. I tried to activate the TV but was not successful with my efforts. The young lady who checked me in the day I arrived was very sweet and helpful. Since I’m Deaf she kindly wrote her comments and instructions on paper

Overall, we had a good stay, with room for improvement. 1. Communication was lacking, no one returned my voicemail or emails. 2. Needs more maintenance. Litter in the campground in general. The bathrooms were cleaned which was appreciated. This is my first time staying at a KOA as an adult with my family, it seems like KOA's are inconsistent. I'd likely return, with these expectations. Stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA in a fully loaded cabin—so easy, just show up and enjoy. Pool opened early, plus zip lines, gem mining, and tie-dye kept everyone busy. Loved seeing wild peacocks roaming around. Fun, relaxing getaway—can’t wait to come back!

I really liked staying in the TeePee and the area around these site where nice. The staff that I encountered were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely come back and bring friends.

We were disappointed in our accommodations, not with the park. We found the activities, pool, park, etc to be great which is why I gave this stars. However our actual accommodations were disappointing. For that price point we dealt with a huge amount of spiders/remains of spiders, barely clean bathroom, living space and rickety furniture. We would not stay in these higher price cabins again.

We had late check in and they called to say they'd leave the envelope for us at the front. When we arrived, it was not there. We had to call the after hours number and someone came to open the unit but then the code didn't work. We had to wait again for someone else to come open the unit. We stayed in a teepee by the river, which was lovely. The front desk staff made it easy for us to switch sites when the spot we booked was not to our liking. The kids and grown ups had a blast on the ropes course. And the pool area is stunning. The showers near us were not working when we were there, but all in all, this is a great camp!

Everything was great except for the shower in our cabin. We had great difficulty turning it on and off. Once we got it working, the water pressure was awful and down right painful. To pay as much as we did it should’ve been a lot better. I live in the county and had to take my son home to bathe him.

The studio cabin was perfect. You may consider replacing the BBQ table as the bench is very narrow. Some fresh towels and more coffee packets mid stay would have been appreciated.

Adorable cabin with a loft for my kids to sleep in. Here with 3 kids and a spouse that didn't want to sleep in a tent. Kids love it. The ropes course was AMAZING!!!
