Spigots seem rare. As many as Five sites at my end may have been sharing a single spigot. The spigot at my site was not working. I also had to use a tool to slide the deadbolt to the men’s restroom to get in because the lock wasn’t working properly. I also had to use my tool to set the timer for the light because there was no knob for the light.

Ventura Ranch is very poorly maintained compared to other KOA’s I’ve stayed, the facility is run down and the site we stayed was next to a bunch of full time rvs that had massive amounts of junk, weeds and spider webs and poorly maintained RVs, it did not feel like a Vacation but a stay at a local trailer park.

It was noted that there would be WiFi, and there was not. Also, when we checked in we were told no fires were allowed due to red alert, but several folks had fires. Also, 10pm quiet period was not adhered to. Never saw KOA staff patrol to make sure people were following rules. Bathrooms were not conveniently located. Overall, the lay out of campgrounds seemed to be catered to tepee rentals.

It was not a good stay!! It was expensive stay for the quality of the place I would not recommend it at all !!!

The restrooms by the pool were disgusting. However, the pool and the campgrounds were well kept, quiet and relaxing.

The cabin was excellent, but had no hot water! Restrooms by pool need a bit of work and cleaning. We miss the Sasquatch tour, movies at the pool, and would have loved to tie dye t-shirts (I think it used to be on Friday mornings?).

Really like the camping environment (not like a parking lot!) at your KOA. Only improvements that I’d recommend is to pull weeds in the labyrinth and create a larger, more interesting dog park. Thanks!

The cabin was a bit cobwebby but that was the only issue. Your staff are so nice. The facilities were amazing. Bounce pillow seemed a bit low compared to other koa’s. We loved the access to the creek.

We stayed in the teepees and they were awesome. Great set up for families with small kids and loved the pool and river. The girls in the camp store were very sweet. We were bummed that the outdoor shower by the pool didn’t work and lots of bathrooms and showers were out of order. We wish we knew you must be 80lbs to zip line or rockclimb. Our kids are 6, 7 and 9 and couldn’t take advantage of

We enjoyed our camping trip with friends and family. However, for the price we paid I would have liked a nicer lady’s bathroom and showers. Only one shower was available the other was out of service. Hopefully you can hire a plumber to repair the either scalding hot water or the cold water situation as not only is it an inconvenience but poses a danger to everyone especially young children.

Everything was fine, but we did not have any hot water to shower with and even though the day was hot, showering before bed was brutal. I had to boil water to be able to bathe my toddler.

Our group had an amazing time. Staff were fantastic! I was disappointed when I had to pay $100 for cancelling an extra site because it was 5 days out not 7. Also- please update the bathrooms by the pool. The bathrooms could be a reason people don’t come.

The showers were TERRIBLE. The water temperature could not be adjusted and was boiling hot (on all three showers). The light timer on one shower is broken and the other shower would nor drain. GROSS! The pool closes at 7 PM. Really? We weren't ready to use the pool until 7 PM most days. Ridiculous. It's summer! The pool shouldn't close until 10 PM.

We didn’t have full hook-ups; app issues. Franky was AMAZING & so kind & helpful. Jaimie & Ryan in the office were superb along with Aaron in maintenance who gave my dad a ride back up to the site from the pool. Everyone was so helpful & kind. Loved the peacocks roaming. Showers, pool water & grounds by the bounce pillow could have been cleaned up better. But nothing too bad. I’d go back.

Great stay but very upset with pool maintenance! The manhole in the pool area was uncovered and they put a patio chair to "block off". My 4 yr old godson sat on the chair and fell thru! He was covered in feces from knees down. We are lucky he didn't go face first!

Had a great visit at the campground. Getting into the campground was inconvenient due to road closure of the 150. Also there was no internet which was unfortunate.

It was wonderful! We come Here often and it’s one of our favorite places to stay. We spent a day at the pool, a day at the creek and a day in Ojai. And we love the staff!

We love the Ventura Ranch KOA. The people that work there are friendly. A few issues that have been a problem 3 years in a row. Sewage smell. Deferred maintenance. Example: Our patio chairs were all falling apart. I fixed them with an allan wrench. The sink in the bathroom was plugged and unusable for 3 days. We requested assistance by phone and in person but no one ever came.

My family and I have stayed at multiple KOAs and always enjoyed ourselves except this time. The overall condition of the Ventura KOA campground was disappointing. The teepee site we stayed at was dirty, frogs were living under mattress, bathrooms were dirty, showers were out of order, the trash was overflowing. There were limited activities, staff seemed unengaged. Will not be staying here again.

The showers at the meeting hall - nonworking lights. knobs missing from fan controls, not clean. The peacocks are unbearably loud. Not a great camping experience.

Facilities were NOT maintained ie: Bathrooms dirty and pathway from Alder were overgrown, showers were dirty, missing knobs for fan and temp, no lights - had to use flashlight :( . The sites and trash bins were not well maintained ie: fire pits, trash bins overfull etc. On a positive note - the store staff were very sweet.

Check in was ok. I was extremely disappointing with the cabin I stayed in. In the picture it showed more room with a table etc. the cleanliness of the place need some work. The cobwebs inside and outside the cabin was terrible. The bathroom floor has a sink in the floor and one of the bedroom head lamps was broken. Would I stay there again, I would not stay here again I stayed in cr13. Patio dirty

Absolutely stunning campsite with shade. The men’s bathroom lights near office did not work. Spiders and mold in some of the showers. Spiders in ladies restroom. Walk up to those showers is loose gravel and dirt. Dangerous walking back down with wet flip flops. Please pave it and the drives or at least more gravel on the drives. Amazing amenities. Can’t say enough good about the pool is beauti

Went to the KOA site and found out the road was closed, the alternate route was very narrow with switchbacks. Getting there was difficult but leaving was worse. We had to leave the car disconnected so my wife could drive in front of me and let me know when I could swing wide to make the switchbacks . Made the stay very stressful. I wouldn’t recommend going there until the road is fixed.

Everything feels old and dirty. More staff needed to work in very busy zip lining obstacle course. Bathrooms were broken and dirty. Positive side staff were nice and activities provided for kids.

We loved the view from the KOA's location, However, what impressed us the most was the lack of maintenance and staff around the KOA. The only staff members we saw were the office folks. The bathrooms were messy, signage was poor, there was heavy partying passed 1am, canavis usage, the rope course was overly priced and unmanned, not enough showers, We felt unattended by KOA.

I love this place! I only gave it a four because every time I’ve stayed, my room code never works and we have to wait for maintenance to assist with it.

Our stay at the cabin was enjoyable overall, but there are areas that need attention: The cabin needs maintenance; the patio furniture was torn and unusable, fire pit crumbled with a hole depositing ashes on the patio. Windows were dirty, loft had not been swept or dusted recently (photos upon request). Addressing these issues would significantly improve guest experiences. Tanya 805-354-2993

It is a beautiful setting, however the tent area was not well-kept. The big trash cans were overflowing, the area had a lot of construction sites to the point that we had a hard time figuring out where our site was, and the bathrooms were not very clean and also under construction. I had heard about the activities - pillow, ropes course, rock wall, etc. They were closed the two days we were there!
