Site was fine (Pine 4) but nearby restrooms and showers were disappointing. 2 of 4 showers had no water pressure, 1 drained very slowly and could only get luke warm hot water. 4th was for handicapped with a low shower head. Don't know when restrooms are cleaned but not in the morning. Campground was notified. Hope they correct things.

Nice clean campground. We were there in November, late in the camping season, only one shower of four in Pine worked well. I am confident that if we had time to inquire, the showers would have been addressed. Loved the campgrounds.

It would help if there were markers on the ground or spots. It was extremely stressful trying to find our cabin in the dark.

Showers did not properly for the ones that actually had hot water. I took a shower that had uncontrollable temperature and was unsafe - the water got scalding hot with no ability to adjust the temp. No dish washing station in tent area. No close water access for fire bucket/fire safety. Loved the property and creek. Staff was lovely.

When we arrived it had already gotten dark, we could barely see to set up our tent. What made it way worse was the person who had used the site before us decided to make a fire on the tenting area and there were rocks and wood and ash. We had to clear it all before being able to set up our tent. I would think that camp staff should take a look at each site before new campers come.

As always great staff and another great stay at our favorite local get away! Have to say however we are not a fan of the concrete picnic tables we noticed are replacing the wood picnic tables. The concrete tables are not movable to place under the shade of RV awnings, difficult to secure table covers, unappealing, uncomfortable and ruin the ability to make the site fit each campers needs.

I was unaware of the month long (I think) Halloween actives you had going on.... When I have my grandkids, I will for sure bring them to experience the great fun that was there!!! It was great fun to see everyone be involved and all campers alike having a great time. WELL DONE!!

The upkeep was not as good as most KOA‘s for RV camping and the quiet time was at 9 o’clock like most places was later like 10 on weekday. Some of the ladies in the office was not very helpful.

This is our choice of parks to visit Ojai CA. They can accommodate big rigs. Lots of activities for kiddos!

Ventura Ranch is in the middle of an existing county park. It is wooded and, given the 80s to 90s temperatures provided ample shade. The internet was decent. The main drawback was that there was no laundry. It was necessary to drive 15 minutes back to town to find a place to wash clothes. The people in thee office were nice, and the spaces were roomy enough. Plenty for kids to do if you have them.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was supportive and caring. The only observation I would like to make is in terms of the condition of the bathroom. They need a remodel badly. In addition, there is dust on the doors and it really does not feel very clean. That reflects negatively on the KOA product.Aside from that it was great.

great experience other than after we check in the door code was not changed correctly, when I called the office no one picked up so I had to drive back to the office to ask then to send someone, waited about 45 min for someone to come down and set that up. Not the best start after a 4-hour drive to get there but we were able to enjoy the rest of the trip

We have been coming to the KOA in Ventura for about 4-5 years now at Halloween. We love being able to decorate our site (although we've never won), the kids love dressing up and being able to "trick or treat," and the carnival is a great end to a fabulous, relaxing weekend. The grandkids also love the crafts, and playing in the creek. Looking forward to next year! Susan

The 1st cabin we were given (CR14) had a nice porch but no stairs to access it. Asked to be moved and they gave us cabin CR1. Nice but no hot water for 4 days & 3 nights even after asking at the office 4 times for it to be fixed. The bed was the worst thing we have ever slept on. AWFUL!! The staff was VERY friendly but unable to help with hot water problem. This was our 2nd visit here & our last

We came in on a Friday and there were so many activities planned for the weekend. It is close to Halloween and they had the campground decorated and there was a contest for the best decorated site, costume parade and contest, teick or treating and a carnival. It was so fun! Loved the feel of the campground being away from road noises. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back!!

Stayed at Ventura KOA for granddaughters wedding in Santa Paula so really disappointed didn’t have the time to really enjoy the campground. Did take a cup of coffee and took a short walk around, everything looked really great.

The place is really great for kids, and in our case grandkids. Lots for them to do, but many activities are only available on the weekends. The entire place is dated and the bathroom were in need of repair, as well as much of the campground. The employees were all really friendly, and store prices were reasonable.

Not very clean, grounds or bathrooms. All the trash cans were overflowing and trash blowing all over. Pool was cold and most of the activities were closed. Would not go back.

We got to the campsite and found another family already setup so we had to move next door. The showers did not have warm or hot water. Some family members had a hard time finding the carnival. Not enough bathrooms for the amount of groups there. We will not be staying there again unfortunately.

Glamping is funny- hotel prices but you get WAY less. Showers were cold and had no water pressure. TeePees were very cold at night so be prepared for that. Also the flooring was falling apart so I tripped about 17x throughout the weekend in the dark (yes, even during the day). Besides it being overpriced, we had a great time- there's lots to do at this campground.

We love the Ventura KOA! From the moment we get there to when the kids want to get goodies in the store, the staff is great!!!

The price we pay to stay here was not worth it .We stay in the wagon C, inside had a lot of spiders and very dusty everywhere. The bathroom was very dirty , shower did not work well and dirty. The pool was dirty, no one clean the pool. The trashcan around the campsite was full and the crows was pulling the trash out. I would not recommend this campsite for my family/friends.

We have gone for the past 7 years for a group camp. When Carol and her family ran it. Was always so wonderful clean taken care of. This year our site was full of trash rude when we told them. Multiple friends camping said the same thing. Used to love it but whoever is running it now is doing a terrible job and was really not the same experience as all the years before.

We have stayed many times at this KOA. We were disappointed by the cleanliness, upkeep, and lack of a refrigerator. The team did, provide us with a deep freezer outside the cabin to rectify the lack of a freezer in the tiny refrigerator that was placed in the cabin. Cabin 7 had dust on all surfaces. We had to wash the dishes before using them. Lightbulbs were out and broken trim falling off.

We come every year for my son's school campout. We absolutely love it here. Our cabin is clean, roomy and bed is comfortable. My son loves riding his bike around, swinging on the swings, jumping on the jump pad and swimming in the pool. The staff is super helpful and polite. The creek is also a plus. It's something I look forward to every year!

The place is a great family place, but could really use some improvements and love. The pool restroom floor is falling in, the kids playground isn’t in great shape and is in dire need of sun shades and there are cabins that are being worked on with materials left all over the place and it looks so messy and uncared for. Also the pool is nice but not heated and too cold to use.

Tv in cabin is misleading, it doesn’t connect to WIFI and no one really knew if it should work or not. WiFi is absolutely bad , no service at all

Disappointed. We had 2 rigs & stayed in Pines-because the website says GRAVEL & neither of our spouses like dirt. There was no gravel! Plus, a lot of trash & debris around the sites: disposal glove,sock,kid's toy etc. Tables were dirty. We assume they were busy all weekend (Halloween),we arrived late Monday, you'd think they had time to clean up? We just left 2 campgrds that rake the sites daily!

We love this KOA location but the bathrooms and shower by the pool have not been repaired for at least 8 months. Other than that this place is amazing.

We stayed in the Oaks and had such a wonderful time! All common areas were clean, staff were all incredibly kind and helpful and amenities were great. The Halloween carnival made the stay for my son!

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
