It is a very natural setting but the bathroom facilities are old and limited. The people that live there are mixed in with the campers. The people who live at this koa have dirty campers and camp areas.

We loved the large RV spaces and the beautiful, mature trees that provided tons of shade. Although challenging to get to from our campsite, we loved the recreational amenities offered. Will definitely be back, and can't wait to try more KOA's.

The lady that onboarded us, was very nice. I believe her name is Karen. When I went back into the office to ask to switch campsites, she looked and was more than happy to do so for us. The only thing that I would say is critical, is the pool area where the chairs are located is dirty. There was too much trash for my liking. I saw a juice box the day before and it was still there the next day.

The welcoming is just fine, the deluxe cabin is good (too low ceiling in the mezzanine) . BUT the owner/manager is not correct: we could only stay one night because the campground is too far and long away from LA ( why call it LA North?) . The manger wanted us to pay for the whole 4 days period even though your site mentions that the penalty is one night. To be short they owe us about 50$ but no

Great location but our cabins had a lot of yellow wasps that came out during meal times. They’d pester us nonstop and start feasting on the food. Did not see a nest but probably colony nearby

This was our first time staying at KOA Ventura and we couldnt be more pleased with our stay. The restrooms and showers we cleaned and the environment was perfect. We felt safe and comfortable. If there is anything to request is the cleanliness of the pool, I think it can be cleaned daily. We spend most of our days there and noticed the water was not cleaned daily. But other than this is awesome!

There are so many fun activities for kids including pool, zipline and gem mining. We loved to enjoy them :) However, service was not satisfying...I couldn't hear anything even though I requested to bring some extra bath towels to our cabin. Also, one of staffs is not kind, so I asked same thing to another staff next day, and she kindly helped me. Will be back for our children next year.

The camp ground has potential to be really amazing. A few things we enjoyed: pool, jumping pillow, creek and gem mining. Things we were not so fond of: -tents need upkeep. Microwave did not work properly, door wouldn’t stay closed, edges around tent were open and allowed spiders into tent. -trails not really visible and unsafe -bathrooms were not well maintained

We have enjoyed camping here in the past, but it seems the quality has gone down hill. Absolutely no way of getting through on the phone (the lines are always busy) - how about hiring someone to work the phone lines. No one checking the noise levels at night (we had loud people partying till late with music and yelling and no one could be reached by phone, no one checking this) Only 1 shower

This is the first time I've been disappointed. We were camping a few feet from the construction sight. The work trucks kicking up dust, tools lying around, piles of dirt, big hole and yellow tape really took away our camping experience. The poor family beside us were in the middle of the work site. Update your website so families know to bring their hard hats! Not safe for little kids site 1&5.

This KOA was just ok. Not sure if it was worth the price. Bathrooms were so so the pool was nice the only real attraction that was included. Everything else is additional cost. Not many actives for the kids. Not my favorite KOA.

Awesome KOA! The roaming peacocks are wild! So much for the kids to do. They loved the pool and biking track. We had so much fun and made so many memories. We will definitely be back once Highway 150 is opened again. We were aware of the closure, but we won't do the extra hour and a half drive again.

It was fantastic! Great place to stay with excellent amenities & activities for adults & kids! We were at tipi site. My only feedback is please please please refill toilet paper ! We stayed Friday to Sunday & women's restroom was out by saturday & no one refilled! Shower a little wonky & tough to get it warm! Otherwise awesome place & we will definitely return!

Mind that you have to take a detour from the coast to the campground! The road from Sta Paula to the camp is closed. We had a great stay here. Quiet, beautiful spots, surrounded by nature! Friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers. We enjoyed the zip line! Mind that you cannot do it with sandals or flip flops. Would definitely recommend it!

The only thing I’d say is that the pictures were confusing on the website and I thought I was getting a full kitchen in my cabin, but I didn’t. Other than that it was amazing!!!!

Use to love this campground. It has a lot of work to do to bring it back the way it was. Bathrooms need updated and grass area needs to be kept up. Also this time they did not have any wifi.

We love staying at the property and love the covered wagons. It is such a family friendly place and the staff are extremely helpful. However we were disappointed at the state of the pool bathroom & shower area especially in comparison to the other facilities located near the RV’s. If management could address those issues it would this would be a four to five star property for us.

We had a great time. A few things I think need to be adjusted, music hours until 9 on a weekend? Maybe 10 and quiet hours until 11 would probably be better. The restrooms need to be checked, cleaned and replenished with toilet paper and soap more often.

Overall it was a good stay. The bathrooms near the pools were always so dirty. Guessing they are the most used ones which makes the upkeep harder. My suggestion would be to have a designated restroom for the pool area and a separate one for the surrounding campsites. Teepee had trails of ants inside when we got there luckily staff was nice enough & gave us ant spray. So bring ant spray!

Poor facilities. Bathrooms were disgusting. Poor signage. Had people cutting through my camp site to get to bathrooms due to path over grown and no signage. Pool opened late everyday. Features closed. Very poor maintenance management. Everyone on site is super friendly. No knock on them. Seems under staffed.

Staff was nice and campground was clean. Only bummer was both office and pool were late to open on Friday 7/19 and Saturday 7/20. Was told due to people quitting or late.

We enjoyed our stay except for our experience at the creek. We quickly realized the water was contaminated with oil and we left. My daughter unfortunately went in the water. Other guests had those complaints as well. A KOA representative confirmed oil and sulfur contamination in that water. A heads up (in any way) of this health hazard would have been nice KOA. Guests, DONT go in the creek.

Very nice site once we were able to pull our trailer up a very steep park road. Other than that, very quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery and lots of shade trees. We would come back.

We had such high hopes for this KOA. Clearly they’ve put some big efforts in with all the activities, but were lacking on the basics. We stayed in the “premium” tent loop and the bathrooms were a disaster. Light switch missing so could barely use the timer switch. The toilets were constantly clogged, toilet paper all over the floor, no soap, no hand towels, just a mess. Big disappointment fo

sometimes hard to get thru on phone but they always call back if you leave a message. The phone ladies are very very nice. When you register in person everyone is very nice and helpful. This koa was really great for familys. We discovered crude oil in the watering hole and we told the office. The office immdiately told all new guests about the water. That tells me how much they care.

Loved our stay! Staff were very friendly and for the most part grounds were clean. I gave 4 stars not 5 because the women's bathroom really needed to be cleaned more. And tent campsite #043, was an awesome site but had a ton of smashed glass by the fire pit. Bathroom was too far for all the campsites by us. They need a bathroom closer. Besides that, boys and I will be back, had a great time!

We reserved 3 cabins and upon check in, the toilets in 2 of the 3 cabins were not working. It took about 2 hours for the toilets to be fixed so that was a big inconvenience. The public restroom was filthy and unkept. But the staff was pretty friendly and the zipline/adventure course was really awesome! The kids loved it!!

Our stay was great but there were two issues. There were very loud campers way past curfew and nothing was done about them. Also the bathrooms were filthy most of the day except right after they were cleaned in the morning. They should be cleaned more than once a day. Seems to be understaffed and run down a bit Climbing wall never opened and lack of activities compared to other KOA’s. Bathroom dirty constantly Gem mining was good staff friendly

Loved the beautiful cabins! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our stay would have been better if the rock climbing wall was available and if there were more time slots for the activities like the arts and crafts.

The front office staff was awesome and very responsive! The zip line crew was outstanding and went above and beyond in helping all six of my children have a wonderful time. Thr grounds were spotless and the facilities including the pool and bathrooms were spotless. We love Ventura Ranch KOA and it has become a tradition for our family each year!

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
