Overall, we had a good stay, with room for improvement. 1. Communication was lacking, no one returned my voicemail or emails. 2. Needs more maintenance. Litter in the campground in general. The bathrooms were cleaned which was appreciated. This is my first time staying at a KOA as an adult with my family, it seems like KOA's are inconsistent. I'd likely return, with these expectations. Park is in need of serious maintenance. Bathrooms were not clean, moldy grout. That's if you can find one that works. Staff was pleasant.

We have stayed in about two dozen KOAs in the US and Canada in recent years and Ventura Ranch holds two records for us. First, it was the most expensive KOA we have ever stayed in (although Key West KOA is coming up for this fall) and second, when we arrived a few days after Easter, our patio was covered with smashed Easter eggs, and I don't mean the plastic kind. It was gross.

to start, no enthusiastic greeting upon arrival...it was like I was making the women work now...Had a patio site...the patio was mostly covered in sand as well as the table...furniture strewn about the patio...no wifi, no cable and no over the air tv...store was suppose to be open until 7:00 PM...went to get ice at 6:40, store was closed...sign with store hours was removed from the door...

Site was not level, but nice and private. Grandkids loved the activities. We'll be back!

The grandkids love the zip lines and the peacocks. A great family place, and you can still have a real fire pit.

It was ok. Nothing earth shattering. Our site was not level at all. With all my levelers I was still off 2 inches side to side. Booked a full hookup, but somehow ended up with no sewer connection. Internet was terrible. But other than that, very relaxing and nice walks.

Great site, loved the area, very friendly staff and enjoyed the Peacocks visiting are site. Will definitely book another stay when we are in the area. Keep up the good work.

Stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA in a fully loaded cabin—so easy, just show up and enjoy. Pool opened early, plus zip lines, gem mining, and tie-dye kept everyone busy. Loved seeing wild peacocks roaming around. Fun, relaxing getaway—can’t wait to come back!

I really liked staying in the TeePee and the area around these site where nice. The staff that I encountered were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely come back and bring friends.

Campground was great and very clean. Loved the area and the activities for the kids. Only problem is had was the campsite I was at. A26 is next to bathroom and bathroom path is not marked clearly so we had several campers walk through our site to get to bathroom.

The only thing I thought of was that if you knew we were checked by someone into our site that day maybe someone would have checked if it was clean and tidy. The table and chairs on our patio were dirty and the patio was covered with dirt and sand. I swept up my first half hour there. Otherwise everything was good. The office staff were excellent on check in and check out�

We stayed three nights, great campsite. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked. The firepit area was awesome; we had a fire every night. Our daughter loved the bouncy area and the pool was great. Even though we didn’t get to do the obstacle course everyone we saw seemed to have a great time. And the peacocks, though loud, we’re amazing.

We were disappointed in our accommodations, not with the park. We found the activities, pool, park, etc to be great which is why I gave this stars. However our actual accommodations were disappointing. For that price point we dealt with a huge amount of spiders/remains of spiders, barely clean bathroom, living space and rickety furniture. We would not stay in these higher price cabins again.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. It was good to see the pool open early. They need to have the gold mine open more often. Especially when the park is booked. and after three years, the rock climbing. Wall is still broken and closed. The kids love the jumping pillow.

We had late check in and they called to say they'd leave the envelope for us at the front. When we arrived, it was not there. We had to call the after hours number and someone came to open the unit but then the code didn't work. We had to wait again for someone else to come open the unit. Reserved and paid for a back in patio site. Was given an all gravel no patio site. Staff said I got what I paid for. Tried to show them I clearly didn’t and they could see on their end as well that I reserved and paid for a patio site but they didn’t have any available. I would like a refund for at least the difference as I paid for a better site than I received.

We stayed in a teepee by the river, which was lovely. The front desk staff made it easy for us to switch sites when the spot we booked was not to our liking. The kids and grown ups had a blast on the ropes course. And the pool area is stunning. The showers near us were not working when we were there, but all in all, this is a great camp!

We loved the setting, the activities and fun options like teepee, cabin and zip line. However the roads were terrible, bathrooms unattended and far. The day party next to our site was out of control but since your staff was bringing the people I felt uncomfortable saying anything. Your staff sped through the roads very fast. Not sure if I would ever stay again.

Everything was great except for the shower in our cabin. We had great difficulty turning it on and off. Once we got it working, the water pressure was awful and down right painful. To pay as much as we did it should’ve been a lot better. I live in the county and had to take my son home to bathe him.

The area is beautiful and the grounds are kept up well. Peacocks can get a little annoying early in the morning but they are fun to see. Specifically, we had problems with our site in terms of the sewer hook up. There was a pretty consistent sewage smell coming from very close by and our pipe had a rock shoved into it making it unusable. I let the office know and they never showed up to fix it.

The studio cabin was perfect. You may consider replacing the BBQ table as the bench is very narrow. Some fresh towels and more coffee packets mid stay would have been appreciated.

My family had a great time, but I was disappointed with this KOA. Pros: Zip lining was awesome! Our cabin was clean, just as pictures. Cabin 3 has an amazing view. Kids loved the jumpy. Cons: We requested an extra pillow and blankets, but they never came. The water pressure in the kitchen sink was a trickle. We typically tent camp, but I would not at this facility due to lack of bathrooms.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
