The main issue with the stay is that the phone and internet services were not working and I heard numerous complaints about people not being advised prior to their stay. I also work on the road and was unable to access my work, this cause me to have to go into town.

The maintenance was not up to standards. We had an ant hill living in the sewage drain. Therefore we asked to be moved and we did. The maintenance guy handed me a can of ant spray . I told him I’m not doing his job . Our new campsite was much better. Only problem was the fire pit was situated right under a low hanging tree. Not good

Stayed in the Pine campsite, all utilities were readily available, the walk thru the site is easy. Like it that quiet hours are truly quiet, I went to those public site, and they could get really noisy at night.

Our stay was nice and pleasant. I would offer the restrooms by the pool need TLC. The women's door has a big hole in it where it looks like it was hit with something.The first stall has missing tile, a broken door, and is used for storage. The stall locks need repair. One shower was out of order. The covered wagon we stayed in was nice and clean and we really enjoyed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in the very well appointed Deluxe One Bedroom cabin. This was mid November and all was quiet and peaceful, just what we needed to unwind. We appreciate being able to bring our dogs (applies only to certain accommodations, call first). While we went deluxe, there's a wide range of camping options onsite, something for everyone.

Ventura Ranch KOA never disappoints. We have been coming to this campsite for a few years now and the service is always at its best. Very kind and helpful staff.

Great service. Eventhough sites are close together, trees/bushes in between sites give sense of privacy.

Despite the power being out from a fire earlier in the week, the hosts were able to check us in without issues. We paid for a patio site, it would have been nice if the patio was free of pine needles, I had to sweep them, and the dirt, the pile was 2 foot high, otherwise loved the location. Not in love with the peacocks, they pooped on our trailer slide-out.

We had the best time! Tie-dyed shirts, jumped on the big pillow, explored, gem mined, and made friends with some peacocks. We love staying here, and can’t wait for our next trip back!

The mountain fire was in full affect when we arrived. Power was off and I know they were feeling the pressure but staff was amazing. Giving information before we even arrived to insure our safety. Our tent was perfect and bathrooms were so clean. Saturdays activity staff were amazing as well. Family had so much fun and great memories were made. We WILL be back and recommend to family and friends

Really loved how close this is to our house. A nice get away for the weekend with family and friends. The spots were spacious, and for the most part clean less the peacock poop. Especially enjoyed the zipline and adventure course with my granddaughter. The attendants were knowledgeable and friendly and knew their business. I felt safe on the high wires. Rock climbing was not open.

Overall our stay was nice. The first spot we got put in P13 was right next to the sewer and smelled very bad. They were nice enough to move us to P; P7 smelled better but the trees and bushes were pretty overgrown and after we parked the RV and set up there was not much room in the site for fires and setting up camp chairs. The peacocks did defecate 10 our more times directly in our camp spot.

We love the Ventura Ranch KOA - it is relaxing, lots of activities, and kind staff (Doug should be doing stand up!) We were concerned about the amount of dry brush with the wind and campfires, but no issues!

I wish I could get my money back. This place is run down and disgusting. No wifi. The bathrooms by the pool are super dirty. The doors to the toilet stalls don’t lock. The floor is rotting away under the toilets and the showers don’t work. The owner doesn’t fix anything just tries to cover it up. Peacocks are running and flying around super noisy and scary. Do not stay here. Not worth it.

Overall this campground was amazing. Many things to do with kids, clean bathrooms and showers, and quiet area to relax. The only complain I have is the restroom did not have any working lights.

I have stayed here 3 times in the past. This time I was severely disappointed with the facility looking run down and overgrown. I had to call for someone to come out and hedge trim a bush at the entrance to my pull thru site as I could not get in and out of my door without snagging my clothing on the branches of the plants. All of the signs, wagons, and cabins need a good powerwash. :(

Still disappointed after the past 4 years the slides were never repaired and instead just removed. The roads are in desperate need of repair.

site 14 is the most un level KOA site I have every stayed at around 6 inches low on one side. Its very long but all the hookups are at the back of the site so bring long hookups "30 feet"

Map of the campground does not match the actual grounds layout. Due to this and construction, it was very unclear where our tent site was actually located, even with guidance from the staff. Never had a phone call answered when attempted prior to our trip. No response to emails sent. No prior notification that the ropes course was only open on Saturdays. Shower door did not have a lock.

We liked our site in the Pines for our motorhome. The month of October is especially fun because Halloween is celebrated every Saturday. This is a very kid friendly campground.

I have stayed at numerous KOAs all over the country, and I have to say this was one of the worst as far as the quality of the sites and the way they are set up. It is a dust bowl, and the sites are not kept up. We had trash left in the firepit (not a lot), but still, it was a tin can that had been partially burned. The patio was falling apart, and there was a gian ant nest near the water hose.

We camp here every year and love it! The staff are the nicest and most helpful I've ever come across! This KOA is clean and super fun also. Can't wait till next year!

The camp ground was rundown, poorly maintained. Our campsite was not cleaned before our use - fire pit filled with cans We usually stay in state campgrounds that are much better maintained, better located and less expensive.

It was really nice. Rates are going up, but sites don’t seem as well maintained nor the road around Birch Loop. They have a new No Radio rule which we weren’t happy about. We adhered to the rule, but people above didn’t and no one said anything to them. They had music on until midnight. Young boy rode loud small gas powered motorcycle around the loop over and over again with no one stopping

We stayed in Cedar which is mostly rvs that people are living in. It was uncomfortable with children. They should not rent out sites in that area for short term stays if everyone else there is staying long term. It just gives a super creepy vibe. We went to be around other families camping for the weekend, not older couples who are living there full time. We would not book again.

I really like this place been coming for 20 years. I'm a little disappointed that some of their best tent camping sites are going to high end expensive cabins but i goes that is progress. The new cancellation policy will make me less likely to book. The lack of flexibility is a real negative.

You need to hire people for grounds maintenance. Trees are overgrown and plants are covering walkways. Just overall needs a good cleaning. But staff was great as usual.

We had a lot of fun during our stay. First time during October Halloween season. Kids participated in Halloween parade, trick o treating, we decorated our cabin. The only thing we wish to improve is temperature of swimming pool (it’s always freezing cold, even when it’s summer weather). Please heat the pool. Thank you.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
