We've been visiting the Ventura KOA campground for the past 7 years, and it remains one of our favorites. Every stay is a pleasure, with a helpful office staff that always makes us feel welcome. Highly recommend this fantastic campground!

Campsites unkept. Could not see where to park on the asphalt. For the amount of money we pay site should be kept clean. Fire pit areas not kept clean. Leaves and trees branches not cleaned from around the pits and tree branches overhanging to close to the fire pit. Grass areas in the rv areas not mowed and not kept green. Going downhill from the many times we have been.

Nice wide slots. No wifi info given or bathroom codes. Peacocks everywhere which could be good or bad depending on your fears.

Was out of power 4 of our 5 nights no Wii fi and not fixed since mud slide no informed about wifi before arrival. Camp ground was lovely.

We like staying here but we can do with out the fill times in the same area as us . We like being around other RVers but some of the rvs you can tell have not moved in months and even years. Staying here is not the first on our list be cause of this. We keep hoping we don’t get a spot next to one . The kids love all the different activities.

My only complaint is the people working in the office didn’t know about the activities on site. They didn’t have an activities schedule and said there were no activities till Saturday after new years. We told them someone said there was hat decorating and they said no. We found the hat Dec., and those people were confused why the office didn’t know. We had a great time just a little confusio

The men's room near the office was pretty gross, with the waterless urinal overflowing. The waterless cartridge needs to be changed. Also, there are several spots where it smells like Raw Sewage.

The staff is amazing! I do think they are expected to do so much vs hiring more people that the day to day operating items do not get tended to. The grounds are not kept the way they were years ago. Feels like the property is not loved.

Terrible. No zip line, the pool was closed (not advertised in site before booking). No laundry. No WiFi. No sewer. Cold showers. Bad customer service at reception. And lots of run down rvs permanently living there. We and our kids felt unsafe.

The staff are super helpful. Doug was extremely welcoming and the cleaning crew and activity staff were great! Please give them all holiday bonuses as I could tell they were short staffed and working very hard to accommodate all the holiday guests!

Everything was great, but the hot water at the showers by the club house didn’t work off and on. We also wish arts and crafts were available every day or that a schedule was given out or posted every week.

I booked for full hookups and when I arrived I was given partial with no dump station and I had 4 kids and 2 adults, also the trees were not trimmed to accommodate a class A motorhome so when I left the very next day they scratched all the way down my passenger side, I was told that we can not listen to music unless wearing earbuds watch I emailed the camp manager requesting a refund and have not

Check-in was smooth & easy, the site was clean & ready for us in a nice location, and it was easy to navigate to and back in. The people working there are friendly and very helpful, and there are beautiful peacocks roaming the property and they come visit you in your site. There were tons of activities for all ages and the spots filled up quickly so I was lucky to get mine. A great place to stay!

I have been to several KOAs and I believe this one is one of the least nicest property. There are some nice areas and beautiful scenery, however it felt as though the property was neglected for years. As if they started projects and left them. Water pressure was low, showed luke warm and others scolding hot, lights in restroom didn’t work. No wifi and no cable. Not what I expected from a holida

The KOA itself is in a beautiful place, however some of the sites were not maintained by other KOA standards. No laundry facilities, the showers and restrooms I used had no heaters, brrr! The staff was friendly and I will return, knowing what to expect!

Stayed one night arrived after dark. Eventually found the location at the furthest site with power. Large rocks had to be removed before backing in. Site small dirt and not level. No picnic table or fire pit. Site next to us had pallet as part of area. Site lights not working. With nicer sites close by in middle section don't understand why we were put where we were. Not a nice location �

Horrible I could not believe this was a KOA. Shame on you. My full hookup site had only electricity. The water on site was leaking from the faucet and someone tuned it.so tight it cold t be turned on. Trees weren’t trimmed and branches hit my RV roof. Only one employee who did not answer phone and 4 messages not returned. No showers on my loop. Horrible

We had originally booked a two night stay but there was no one to check us in the first night. We arrived at ~4:30 pm and evidently the office closed at 4 pm that day. We were given no notice about the office hours (email said the office was open until 6:45), and weren’t left an after hours packet. We tried the after hours number and the mailbox was full. The campgrounds were great but the communication and the actual "fancy" cabins aren't that great. I have already emailed them about it but pretty sure they chose to ignore my email. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you are an experienced camper as the cabins are just not worth the price. Very poor value, won't be staying here again.

Run down & dirty. In all fairness, 2 things must be taken into consideration; 1) Our stay was during the off-season. 2) A major wildfire had recently been contained about 6 miles away. That said, the facilities were dirty and dilapidated. Restrooms were disgusting and several toilets broken. The restroom near our site was not cleaned for several days. Hoping this is not the norm, such potential.

I was very disappointed in our stay. I have a LOT to say but there is a char max here. 1) ANTS everywhere in the cabin, 2) Jumping pillow not working, 3) Power outage without letting us know!!! =(. I would be happy to share the details of my experience if you email me directly.

Overall, the location is nice. It's close enough to the city, but far enough to get away. The website falsely advertised WiFi. Also, there were 2 power outages. Campers should be made aware that back-up power is highly recommended. The bounce pillow was shut off early and no one was available to get it started. Finally, the showers need upgrading. For the cost, I expect all items to function

The cost is too high! The tree branches are too low! (We tore our roof on the trees) The sites are too small! (could barely fit our rig and our truck, fire pit ended up 2' from the rig) I had to pay $25 for sewer service over my $100+/night! Nothing about this park makes you want to come back.

Doug at the Registration office made this visit grade A. He was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient & fun. I work with the Disaster search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula & will be visiting often. Hope the WiFi will be up & running on our next visit.

First time at a KOA. Enjoyed our stay, the property was clean and well cared for. Nice dog area and enjoyed the walks and the wild Peacocks that wondered thru your camp area.

It was our first time at KOA. It was a great stay except it rained the entire time and that’s no one’s fault. However, wish there was some cover at the cabin or awning because everything got muddy fast. Also the pictures we saw when we booked the cabin showed tables and chairs but the cabin didn’t. We have stayed at the Ventura Ranch KOA 5 times now, and this was by far the worst. It feels like the campground is declining in care. We have a huge group of family go, so we rent sites of all types, cabins, RV spots, and Safari tents. This stay, our cabin was missing many of the known amenities (no coffee maker, only 2 full size bath towels, no sharp chopping knife, no hand soap or dish soap)

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
