Disappointed that our campsite patio ( that we paid extra for) was covered with dirt that we had to sweep and hose down ourselves. The fire pit was filled with ash that we also had to clean out ourselves. We have stayed at this campground and haven't had this problem in the past.

Overall our stay was ok, the location is very peaceful and serene. It's the Peacocks so be aware they are very vocal. They make noise all day at dusk they begin screaming. Come 5am they wake up and begin screaming they sound like screaming cats and it is loud. Up at 5am on our vacation is not pleasant. Wont be going back.

A great weekend with friends. Enjoyed everything from the trampoline, bike riding and hiking. The campsite was perfect too! The only issue which wasn't a big deal was the size of the steps leading to the restroom. The staircase could use an additional step closer to the ground.

Overall it was a great stay. There's a lot to do and the activities are so much fun. My only complain was that we found bed bugs. I would try to go back and stay at the camping spots, but more than likely not a cabin again.

We stayed for two nights in a full hookup pull thru spot. It was our first trip with a "new to us" camper so we wanted to be close to home. The staff and amenities at the Ventura KOA are top notch and made our first trip there so enjoyable! The facilities are well maintained and they have tons of fun activities for the littles. The only thing I did not love was that our site was by the main road

I was disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi and no cable at the campground. For $100 a night both should be offered. Thank you.

Nice campground, pretty, but noisy neighbors (peacocks). Lots of things to do, especially if you have kids.

Best vacation ever. Waking up to the beautiful view of the creek and mountains, surrounded by trees, was amazing. We loved grilling on the patio and toasting marshmallows by the fire at night. My kids loved the arts and crafts and jumping pillow. My daughter also really enjoyed going to the little store and picking out treats and souvenirs and saying hi to the friendly staff

The campground itself was great. I was disappointed by the lack of wi-fi. In the amenities section of the website, it lists wi-fi. However when I inquired, I was told there is no wi-fi. After looking at the website again I realized clicking on the wi-fi gives a popup that states it is currently unavailable. I found that to be very deceptive and dishonest.

I’ve stayed at dozens of KOAs but this is by far the worst No sewer hookups so we had to take a walk up at least 20 stairs every time we needed to use the facilities and it was open air and cold not to mention it smelled like a port-a-potty. The showers were equally as far away and only 1 of the 3 was working. I would suggest going somewhere else.

The check-in process was fine, but upon searching for our campsite, it seemed like the lady at the desk had no idea the map was wrong. The showers were so disgusting we showered at the local YMCA. In general, the whole KOA was just dirty and unorganized. We were incredibly disappointed and wish we could take back the two nights we were there.

We upgraded to a different location on arrival. First night the shower was either icy cold or scolding hot. Notified staff next day. Maintenance came by and stated they knew it didn’t work. Gave us tip on how to get the water warm. Tried again and still no change. Why would they rent if the shower was unbearable to use. Waiting to hear from management. Other than the shower stay was nice

Enjoyed our stay there, for us being in a park like setting was great! We suggested to family living in the LA area that this would be a great getaway for a week for their family of 5 to enjoy all they you have to offer and only an hour away for them! (I gave them your KOA brochure).

Our site was ok but not worth the $107 per night. The peacocks were very annoying, squawking and walking through the site - there was nothing about this on the website that I saw. Our site backed up to a public road that runs through the KOA property, which, again, was not on the website. Cars went back and forth at all hours. The office staff was friendly!

As much as we like coming there and we have for years, the fact that the rates are so high with no Wi-Fi no cable makes it really hard to choose to come there obviously it’s winter time but it’s a maintenance needs to be done across the whole park with just down trees and branches, we really hope that Wi-Fi gets installed soon. It is hard to pay upwards of. $100 per night in Birch

we had a great time there and the staff was awesome, only problem is we had a mentally disturbed person camp right next to us, who is screaming and yelling all day and most of the night, we alerted the staff at some of his yelling notes directed at our kids, I understand there’s really nothing they could do about it, but my kids were scared and kind of put a bender on otherwise awesome weekend.

We’re a full time RV family with 2 kids. We’ve seen a lot of campgrounds and are familiar with the KOA brand. I can definitively say that Ventura Ranch is not worth a stay. KOA corporate needs to do a thorough review of this franchisee because they’re giving KOA a bad name. Poorly maintained facilities overall, clearly not enough staff and disinterested ownership.

Very well kept grounds, friendly people working there, the peacocks weren't a problem. They went to sleep at sundown and stayed quiet all night, every night. Beautiful birds and trees in the campground. I can't wait to return!

This was our first time with a KOA and it was the best. The spot we had was perfect for our needs. Everyone was so nice and seemed actually excited about that we were visiting for the first time. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
