I was in the shower and water was turned off ! No warning before hand. Pool was not open. We were told all activities were open. Not true. Office personnel, maint. Were all very friendly. BEAUTIFUL place. Would definitely visit again. It was worth it, no matter what!

We enjoyed the KOA very much! Everyone was so nice. My only recommendation is to have the grass area and sites groomed a little more! Thank You!

It was amazing. The service we got from the counter was amazing. Not only was the stay fun and scenery breathtaking. We actually booked another stay on the day we were leaving for August. If you want to stay in a beautiful cabin and fun activities come here.

Overall nice campground and location. However, some of the "activities" seemed to have been closed down for years. For example, the mining activity had beer cans, trash and leaves in the sluice box. Clearly not used in years. Did not see anyone using the zip lines. Kids in front of expensive cars hitting rocks with baseball bats!

Nice location. Kids loved the amenities. A little run down, the bathrooms and showers weren’t the newest or cleanest. The peacocks are cool at first, but very loud. And the roads are ridiculously tights for large fifth wheels.

- At the office i´ve been told there is NO WIFI! (Although it is advertised in description of the KOA ). - Only one of three showers was working. - Our site was not cleaned , everywhere plastic , trash ..we collected it our selves!! - The climbing wall was inoperative due to maintanence since ages.... - We had to pay the FULL price although this KOA was far from how it is advertised online/ca

The area is lovely and convenient. We enjoyed the peacocks even though they were a little noisy! The bathroom faucet was broken when we got there but someone fixed it right away. If we ever have our grandchildren with us in the area we will return. The playground was fantastic!

nice location, however we had issue, one the comforter on our king bed was stained, the pull out bed mattress and bedding also looked stained, they had to come out and switched out propane tank for hot water because it was empty and we had to wait over an hour for the shower to get hot, you would think that would be done before we would get their. The employees were very nice thats a plus.

We were really bummed that the pool was not open and there is no hot tub. We stayed in a cabin which was great but the dishwasher did not work. The sink in the bathroom really didn't work either. I think they could leave more supplies in the cabin like more blankets, and trash bags. While trying to find the path to the creek, we stumbled across a homeless camp, definitely not what we expected.

Campground is great Ginger was extremely accommodating However, the cabin I stayed in was not as clean as I would have thought for check in The fact that so much light comes in the morning makes it hard to sleep. There are no window dressings so it’s extremely light.

We had a good time. Some of the trees in Alder need attention, and the fire pit was removed from the grass circle. Now, there is a hole in the ground, and people would trip or fall because of it, especially at night. Had fun!

Area is pretty, RV spots spacious, but our fire ring was in such an odd spot, it was unusable. Bathrooms need a little help, but we’ve seen worse! Grounds were clean, playground was nice and the zip line/ ropes course was so much fun!

Lots to do for the kids which is wonderful!!! but the grounds aren't kept up. Rust on railings, lots of buildings run down, showers none functioning, bathrooms extremely old looking and outdated, cob webs around entire campsite at check in, tall grass in high traffic areas which is concerning given rattlesnakes in area

The area was beautiful. The staff was very nice. The cleanliness of the camp could be improved; there were bags of trash everywhere and the restrooms were dirty (but not horrible for a campground). We can see ourselves returning.

It's a good place when all the activities are open, but when we came everything was closed and it's really boring. Not interesting to come to this place with an RV.. the best is to rent a cabin. The campsite when we arrived was under renovation. The wi-fi was not working!

The place was super clean and we tried to keep it as clean as possible when we left. Only suggestion would be a vacuum or being able to rent one so we could keep it clean. It was excellent and we will definitely be coming back many times. Thank you again for a great family experience!

It was a nice campground and friendly staff but amenities were lacking for us. Lots of construction going on, dirty showers for tent camping, and none of the activities for kids were available aside from the playground area.

Beautiful camping spot, the staff were accessible. The only thing is the map is not updated, a lot of activities that are not available, no climbing wall, no gem mining, no cornhole play, no Bocce Ball. My Tipi was uncovered at the top so at night it was super cold. I recommend to think more activities for kids 5-7, since they can not do the zip line and rope course as well.

This KOA is off the beaten path up into the mountains and valleys absolutely stellar scenery, peacocks abound everywhere. It was absolutely lovely quiet a fabulous place to get away from the city.

Wonderful location with great activities for kids, and good areas for adults. Love the labyrinth. Cabin accommodation was comfortable. Good access to Ventura or Oxnard beaches

The location is great. The mountains are beautiful, but the owners need to put more care in the upkeep of the campground. When we arrived our teepee tent was missing a mattress and the “door” to the larger tent was broken and held shut with a screw. The public bathrooms and showers were dirty and shower curtains were on the ground. Rock climbing wall was broken. Luckily, we were moved to a cab

Beautiful area, The cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campsite. My only complaint is that the campsite map is outdated. Trails near the water don't exist and some of the activities on the map are not actually available.

We had a great time staying in one of the wagons. We only wish it was stated on the website before we booked that the pool was not open yet and that the rock wall was down for repairs. We were only notified after making a reservation

This way my VERY FIRST STAY IN MY VERY FIRST RV. On a scale of 1-10, my experience was a 15. Everyone at the KOA was super helpful and kind. I had an issue getting the city water connection attached to the RV, but Frank from the maintenance team was able to do it. Larry the peacock took up residence at my site. Apparently, he really enjoyed the "mirror" (aka front bumper) of the RV.

The KOA was beautiful & our area was private. Our teepee was spacious- only issue was teepee was obviously older; it had large rips around the doors. Loved the kids area and proximity to our sight. The showers for our area were poorly kept- the bathroom and showers at the top of camp were very clean and well kept just not walkable from our sight. had a great time.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
