Our stay was a short stay but an enjoyable one. The pool was large and able to accommodate many people. Our site was clean and what I was hoping for. We will most definitely be visiting Ventura Ranch KOA again. Nick, Saugus CA

My family did a 2-day 1-night stay on a tent site. It was during peek season however it seems to me that one restroom and one shower for 44 sites is not enough and only two water valves. Specially for the rates on sites seems little steep for our family. We camp at other KOA’s on trailer and tents so we were able to compared rates. We did enjoy the zip-lines and obstacles course for the kids.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Only complaint is sites in the Alder group could use some upgrading and leveling out. Was difficult for several in our group to level their rigs

We love the campground. There is a lot of deferred maintenance that needs to be addressed. But we will be back next year.

This is from my FB post:-Three day adventure, lots to do, lots to see, lots to enjoy, lots of fun & lots to share Oh yes, one more item-free roaming peacocks that seemed to vocalize around the clock.�� Zip line, Jumping Pillow, Pool, Play Ground, World Labyrinth, & our camp spots each with a huge Tipi to have a good night's sleep.. Didn't mention condition of the restrooms - need improvement

We LOVE Ventura KOA and our stays past/present have been enjoyable however THIS particular time we noticed a CONSIDERABLE amount of trash all over the camp. Our site in particular CWD was disgusting: dirty diapers, several cans, candy wrappers and misc trash bits all over our site. WE filled a bag with garbage BEFORE setting up camp! Please consider charging fees for campers leaving garbage behind

Love this place although the bathrooms seem to be being ignored. I was there for 4 nghts and they were never cleaned during that period. I could tell by the bugs in the sink and toilets were not cleaned. I wil be back because I love the property but thought it was worth noting.

Two thirds of the showers were closed. The remaining bathrooms were dirty. The park staff was helpful but seemed overwhelmed with everything going on. The trees need to be trimmed, our travel trailer was scraping them on our way in and out. The pool needs to be cleaned and didn't appear to have any chlorine. The lighting to get to the open showers was horrible. Bring your flashlights.

We absolutely love this campsite, from weather to views and available activities for the kids. We highly recommend for those who want a getaway from the busy life with enough amenities and activities for kids to enjoy.

Had a good stay. Seems like the Campground could have a little more maintenance done around the grounds. Trash cans were full when we got there Friday and were overflowing when we left Sunday morning. Nice campground we are coming back in July.

The AC basically doesn’t work since we need to keep it above 76. A whole house fan would be better. The bathrooms by the pool are very gross We loved the cabin but our kids were grossed out by the covers on the mattresses in the loft. Lots of stains on them. The wall climber was broken when we came last year so that should be fixed. The pool is too shady so it’s cold and the playground is full

We had a great time the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The pool and facilities are all well kept. We come every year with our grandkids and they love it. We will continue coming every year!

I loved the campsite we were in, and we had a blast at the pool. The only complaint/suggestion I have is this.. we have been going to this KOA for Years every summer with my kiddos and the bathrooms have always been the exact same, except that they are now falling apart and one shower is out of order.. there are holes in the floor in front of a couple toilets, etc. Maybe it is time to update?

We really enjoyed our stay ~~~ wish they had sewer hook ups ... seemed a bit pricey for just W/E and we wish all the bathrooms had showers. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Lots for the kids to do .. they loved the jumping pillow and pool of course. Zip Line was a bonus and very worth it. ! River was nice and low for the kids to go explore. Also liked the Labryinth.

We loved the stay. We the nature feel to it. We love the the wildlife. We loved the different activities that the kids can do. Minor detail my shower was clogged but immediately fixed. The toilet moved and the floor sinked in. I would recommend fixing the floor. Those details didn’t affect our stay. We’ll going back for sure. We loved it there!

Our stay was great, just wished that they had Wi-Fi, staff were very friendly and helpful. Campsite was clean and ready for us, also wish staff would remind campers that speed limit is 10 mph, my dog and i were almost hit once by a car traveling fast. Overall I would recommend this KOA to people

Ant infested cabin. Ants were in cabinets, beds, sinks and vents. No hot water (or warm) in the kitchen, garbage disposal broken. Dirty stained mattress and pillows. Bbq dirty and covered in ants. No manager on duty to speak to at check out. Grounds are run down. We spent our two days there trying to abate the ant issue, they said they would spray outside but they were in the walls.

Check in was easy and instructions on how to get to my campsite were helpful. I wish I would have been reminded there were loud peacocks cause it would have prevented a mini heart attack. But the peacock were beautiful and majestic.

It was a beautiful location and we had a fun stay, but the price is higher and it only provides access to the site and the pool. There are no longer movies and the fun activities are at a substantial extra cost. So, while we had a nice stay, I probably will not return.

Rented out a Tipi and the conditions were unsatisfactory tent wasn’t swept, bugs everywhere, door wouldn’t close, the exterior had trash and dog feces. We felt uncomfortable to stay in it over night so we packed up and went home. I have been calling management and I haven’t heard a response. Very disappointing!

The TeePee was a great accommodation near all the activities for the kids. The campground is well kept, appreciated having a general store to grab items as needed

This was our 5th year in a row with a very large group. There was talk among the group that maybe we should trip a different camp like Flying Flags in Buellton. The camp is starting to really show its age. I think this is the 3rd year we’ve been where one of the two showers by the pool was not working. Debris all around the campgrounds. I've got more to stay but not enough characters left.

Great place to stay for families. Had a wonderful time. Team there was incredibly helpful and kind. Beautiful views and they had something for everyone. It was our second time here and we will be back again.

We stayed in spot 34. When we got there, 35 took up most of the space, their truck even parked on our side of the campsite. There were 8 of them, 6 kids and the parents fought with each other most of the night. All the trash cans were full, facility needed cleaning, including but not limited to the bathroom. Don't get me started on the peacocks.

Perfect campground! We loved the peacocks that were roaming around and even saw 2 babies. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Already looking forward tonour next visit!

We had our granddaughters with us, so all the kid friendly activities were fun for them. We would return if we had them with us. Not sure, we would return if its just the 2 of us. The sites were close together, lots of noise, late night conversations we could hear and generators on at all times.

Our stay was pleasant. We have been here in the pass, this time the camp areas did not seem as kept up as the pass. Our sit had trash and everything looked very dry, the kids play area was not kept up. Was disappointed I. The up kept over all.

The park itself good for kids. However, it’s not kept up like in years past. The management is overcharging people and not identifying it. If I didn’t bring it to their attention would they have fixed it? I don’t know. Not sure we’ll be back. We had MANY family members stay for years now at this time and we were all affected (charged) differently

Bathrooms by the teepees were quite. dirty - could be because of the groups staying there. Also, there were rowdy teens in the pool with no oversight and they ended up accidentally hurting a younger child.

It was very pleasant and relaxing. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The office staff were always very nice and helpful. We had a wonderful time!

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
