The camping experience was very pleasant. The customer care was top notch. The things ready for our son to enjoy were really fun and the facilities, for the most part were well kept. The camp site was very nice and welcoming. We had an amazing experience and would come back again for sure.

Great staff, lots to do, rustic and in touch with nature. Not all over built up or to much technology so it really keeps it it a Campground. Great relaxing place.

We come ever year and have a great time! However this year there was broken glass all around our camp site. We understand you can only do so much and that normally isn’t the case but wanted to mention it regardless.

Not very accessible. Way off the main road. It seemed like half campground and half trailer park. Not very organized or well kept. The pictures you see on the website show some nice things , but only in the higher priced tent cabins. Very deceiving considering a rv spot cost $100 and the restroom and shower was 1/4 mile of complete darkness. Worst KOA I have stayed in.

First KOA stay—underwhelming. Came in on a Sunday and might have been a busy weekend, but every trash can was overflowing (and very old trash all over grounds). Site was beautiful; peacocks were a hit. But dog poop was smeared on the patio and left on walkways. Staff didn’t adhere to their own 7mph speed limit around windy, blind corners with kids present. Could be clearer signage to amenities

The amenities and STAFF were outstanding!! Complaints:1)I called security 3 times betwn 9:00 and 11:30pm Friday to complain about the noise the large group in OAK 12-15 was making. They never quieted down AND they were playing a full game of soccer at 6:30 Saturday morning! What Quiet Hours? 2) The shower was nothing but a trickle, no pressure. 3) The pool needed skimming, badly. Thank you.

We are full timers and average 10-20 KOA's/year since 2017. My wife and I both agree that this KOA was the dirtiest we have ever been in. The park only has about 10 full hookups. Our water/electric only area had no showers. The urinal was broken the whole time we were there and the stalls were filthy with broken doors. Our whole area was infested with ants and everyone had to buy sprays.

Enjoyed staying at the KOA. Kids especially enjoyed the pool, bounce pillow, & mining for gemstones. Never camped before so we decided to rent a deluxe cabin. It was clean & comfy. It is supposed to supply all basic needs but be aware you will need to pack a sharp knife & paper towels if you want them. Also, we brought our own wood and lighter which was good because they were sold out.

We had a wonderful stay! Our TeePee space was incredible (3 & 4). Our neighbors staying in the covered wagon were less then good neighbors. They were loud well after quiet hours. We asked them to please be quiet as our kids were trying to sleep (10:30pm) so they moved inside but they were up to at least 2am - with loud discussion/fighting. We were intimidated by them to say something again.

We stayed Thursday through Sunday. We were very impressed by how clean the campground is. Also, although the campground is family oriented (lots of kids) we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the campground was by 8:30pm. The only issue we did have was that the restrooms by the pool were not all working, as well as one of the showers and there was no warm water.

The staff was great. Our site not so great. We were in a spot where cars drive too close. The fire pit is right on the edge of the road and our bench was broken off where it has a pointed edge sticking out. Our two year old granddaughter almost got hurt a couple of times.

Shocked by the general disrepair of the campground. Out of order/broken issues all over the place. Trash on the ground, and noisy neighbors after hours, that made it clear no one is patrolling the grounds. We even moved sites to try and improve the situation. The kids activities are great, but many advertised were closed. The pool is the only redeeming feature. We will not stay again. Misleading!

No hot water in shower (2 différent site tested) Shower globaly not clean Wifi not running impossible to use Kampground globaly not clean (yes, customer fault to leave trash every where but nobody to clean for long days.) Climbing out of order Zip lane expensive Global Price far more than all koa tested and the worst service Looks as a ghost camp ground...after a probable glory période y

It was our second time at Ventura KOA, first time staying in the Oaks area. Very different from the Hidden Point where all the activities are close by, but Oaks definitely had its own charms. Lots of shade, plenty of space, tranquil atmosphere. We had a great time with our friends and family.

The place is very run down. Long term RV spots look very ghetto. Play ground equipment broken, RV spots having broken cement wheel blocks, #34 had rebar sticking out. Trees have dead branches, restrooms not clean, toilet setting outside. We travel a lot & never have seen a KOA that run down.

The activities are downhill from the RV campsites. You have to walk down the main street that runs through the campground to get to them, and you have to walk up the same road/hill to reach the office. Not good for small kids. There is a staircase within walking distance but the steps are too steep. The bathrooms and showers need lots of TLC. The staff is friendly but goes too fast on their carts!

This KOA was a great experience! Wild Peacock families living amongst the campers, beautiful scenery of mountains and plants, tons of genuinely fun activities. One of the best KOA's I've visited. Everything was convenient and fun. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially during the SOAR adventure course, the staff was essential! I am amazed at what my family did! 10/10! A very happy KOA!

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Facilities were very well maintained and the range of activities and amenities on site made our visit, with multiple families, truly enjoyable and memorable.

I was very upset that the pool closed down on one of the hottest days of our stay. I have 2 small children and specifically picked this KOA for the pool. It ruined our entire day and unfortunately the family was very miserable.

Every single trash can and dumpster was over flowing with trash and had bags stacked around it and nothing was collected while we were there. Our campsite was right next to a trash. Additionally there was loose boards and trash all over our site. The bathrooms were very unkempt. I called the office and no answer, walked up and no one there even though the hours were said to be open.

The campground is ok but the common areas are not as well. The restrooms and showers are insufficient and dirty, the swimming pool is super dirty and there are many people drinking, eating and with music very loud. There are written rules everywhere but many people don’t follow them and nobody of the staff says anything.

Drive through sire had a ditch you had to pull through. Bathrooms are away from most campers and very cramped when trying to shower. Just okay but expected better.

Love this place! Our favorite campground to go with our grandkids. So much for the kids to do. The MTB trails, the maze thing, the jumping pillow, and the pool! Only negative is that the pool is so dang cold! Heating it would be awesome, it's like taking a cold plunge.

Great stay, love the river to catch and release fish. The obstacle course added a nice touch. The gem mining was loved by my 10 year old.

The pool was broke when we first got there, then something was wrong with the ph, so we couldn’t go in again. Finally when we did go in the pool it was dirty, with pine needles and bugs in the pool.� Then our campsite didn’t have a picnic table. So I tried calling the office 6 times and nobody answered. So I finally had to drive to the office and let them know. Picnic table arrived aft

We were excited about out weekend at KOA, but after seeing out site, we decided not to stay. It was right next to some piles of debris. And our spot had no space to park our car.

Upon arrival on August 4th we called the office to report that our gas bbq was not working and we were unable to cook for our 5 and 7 year old children. Did not hear back so went into Santa Paula for dinner. Next day someone came by and left a note and a lighter saying that the bbq was not working but to try and light same with the lighter that was left on the bbq. NO CONTACT FROM MGMT!!!

The restrooms and showers are almost nonexistent. One men's restroom had all 3 urinals covered. The park is in a wonderful area but does not have the capability to handle large amounts of people. Unfortunately I have no desire to ever bring my family back or recommend to anyone

After we arrived to #8 and found that the AC was not working I called and the maintenance guy came twice but was not able to fix it, the front desk found us another cabin to move to and when we arrived there was many things that were missing in that unit (no freezer, no propane BBQ,, no glasses, no bowls and no cook top stove etc) they brought items that were needed and went above and beyond!

It was my family and I’s first trip to Ventura Ranch and we loved it! The cabins were amazing and the pool and jumping pillow were the kids favorite!! This will definitely be our campsite for years to come!

So much dirt. Concrete slabs would be nice. But that wasn’t a huge deal. The worst part was the gardeners that started trimming trees right next to my RV at 6:45am for about an hour. So rude and disruptive to be working that early when quiet time goes until 8am. Woke us all up. Put a sour taste in my mouth for sure.

I’d recommend this KOA if you have children. The activities are great. Our 10 year old grandson enjoyed the zip line, pool and jump pillow greatly. Great staff, Frankie especially The facility overall needs significant maintenance and appears to be short staffed. Maintenance example, showers in the upper area need new heads and handles on temp control. The labyrinth lighting is broken.
