-Birch showers were boiling hot, no cold water. -Birch RV spots had everything except sewage. -RV spots too close. Practically on top of your neighbors.

Worst stay Ive EVER had at an rv park And Ive been doing full time travel blogging for 10 years. This was the worst experience I have had. Absolutely miserable. From the people partying half the night, to the space being absolutely infested with ants. They put me in a space knowing it was completely infested with what the office girl called “super ants on steroids” absolutely horrible

The activities were ok but I found the site dirty and the fence behind our spot leaning and pieces of it broken. The fence for the site next to us was completely gone which made it dangerous for our toddler. I found the plants around the pool dirty and the pool area had lots of different bungalows and things around that were unsafe. Pool gate rusted and needs paint. Big tents were dirty, unkept

The cabin was run down, towels were old, shower sprayed water out and entire bathroom was wet, cobwebs and spiders inside the cabin, peacocks damaged our car, peacocks poop everywhere, peacock sound took away from rest and relaxation all day and night, pool chairs were old and dingy, pine needles and cones all around the pool unable to walk barefoot. Rock climbing and gold mining were unavailable.

The tent campsite had litter and not clean when we arrived. After two calls they came down to pick up. Also bathrooms were in need of cleaning and second day it was done. The kids loved the pool and playgrounds. Enjoyed the obstacle course and painting activity. Peacocks were a nice add.

Great stay overall but there were problems. No outdoor chairs at Cabin 4 except 2 lounge chairs. The previous residents had dumped the remains of 3 fires right on the patio and no one had cleaned it up. We had a grease fire in the barbecue grill at Cabin 2 because the grill had not been cleaned prior to our stay. Smoke alarms went off in Cabin 8 but the staff responded very quickly which was great

This was one of the worst campsites on our cross country roadtrip. Poor signage, misleading names, poor conditions, loud wildlife. No transparency on these shortcomings ahead of time aside from “one bathroom is pit of order.”

Great visit. Perfect weather. Only complaint during holiday weekend was lack of dumpsters that overflowed; plumbing problems in most bathrooms; dangerous open construction progress near pool and lack of daily cleaning of pool. Otherwise great stay.

Sadly, I was only able to stay for one day after reserving three days for the 4th of July break. My daughter had an asthma attack, and we had to leave on the 4th and rush her to the hospital. Overall, the site is beautiful and very charming. I look forward to visiting again one day. Cheers. - Michael Houston

1. There was a mini fridge, but no freezer. 2. The cabin could've used more hooks on the wall for storage, and it would be nice if there were a desk and chair for getting work done. 3. Some cleaners were cleaning the unit adjacent to us (separated only by a locked door) early in the morning (before 9AM), and it was extremely loud and obnoxious. This should be done at a different time of day.

Overall our stay was nice. I was bummed out that the showers were cold, but we enjoyed the peacocks, swimming, creek walking, and crafting.

June of 2025 was the 5th time we have brought our granddaughter to camp at Ventura Ranch KOA. She never gets bored. There are so many activities for all ages. I would definitely recommend your family stay here!!! If you heated the pool just a little through out June that would be amazing!

we took our 4 grand kids ages 5-11, it was our first time , we booked the TEEPEES , they are so cute and comfy!! The Zip lining for the kids was a lot of fun and exciting ! the kids also did the treasure hunt so cool . weather was perfect , pool was nice and cool !! i love that they are Dog friendly. the creek was fun ! we will definitely book again !

We had a great time at the Ventura Ranch KOA over the 4th of July weekend! The RV campground was clean, peaceful, and family-friendly. Definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy the holiday. We’ll be back!

We loved every minute we were there, I only have one complain. The chairs and wooden deck just needed to be cleaned of of spider webs. I got a broom and had to clean all the outdoor patio chairs �� and got all spider webs offsite the chairs and deck. Other than that it was AMAZING thank you so much ���

Restrooms were clean. Nice to have a dump station on site. The peacocks were entertaining but an annoyance in the early hours. There were dogs barking most of the night.

The woman's restrooms in the pool area need revamping the bathroom has holes and needs an entire new floor. When I showered Saturday morning there was no hot water. I took a cold shower and my kids would not shower in cold water. There's only 1 shower in the pool area and that doesn't suffice for that area. We had to drive around looking for available showers.

Good campsite. Front office staff should not close office and store for lunch en masse from at least 3:45 to 4:15 (prime check in time) and waste 30 minutes of our time sitting in a running car (along with several other waiting campers). Too many full time residents with messy camp sites, at least on our loop.

Loved it our stay included 5 family all related. Loved our 40 and 41 site our only complaint would be the limited restrooms and showers for the whole area .

We love the location and the staff is amazing! Our kids love riding bikes and playing by the river. The one thing that was a bummer was the bathrooms and showers weren’t working so we had to walk pretty far for a flushing toilet.

The cabin was filthy at every turn. Sheets had stains, body hair on dining table, A/C blew moldy smelling air out. Loft had dog/pet fur even though the policy stated no pets allowed. The bathroom had a strong urine odor, dusty surfaces, bad odors, dead bugs on window sills, and spiders inside. Beds were uncomfortable and we ended leaving early and never will return nor recommend to anyone.

We have a 38’ fifth wheel trailer. Spots were tight. Had to get new spot from office. Couldn’t get in because of protruding RV and vehicles. Need to clear up tree branches from sites for slides. Husband had to clear them himself to be able to open and close slides. Need more bigger spots. Customer service was great. Park has a lot of things for families which we passed on to our kids with ki

The campground is great for families. Lots of amenities for the Littles. However, the bathroom/shower areas need better maintenance. Many of the showers were out of order. Some didn’t drain well. Others would go from hot to cold and back again. And still others lacked adequate water pressure.

Ventura Ranch never disappoints. Our Daughter and her family, plus another family, were tent camping at the same time, sadly, at the absolute opposite end of the campground. I wish there were a shortcut from The Pines to The Oaks. We certainly got our steps in. See you soon!

Everything was fine except our Wagon didn’t have the electricity we were promised. We called that Friday night for help, yet no one returned our call. We stayed in Wagon B. The wagon was nice, but dusty and it has webs all over the bunk bed. The bed on the lower bunk need replacement and it would be nice to change the beds to were we can disinfect them before putting our own bed sheets.

Most of restrooms and showers around the camp were out of service. The pool was dirty, the showers didn’t work. The campground was littered. We’ve stayed at multiple KOA’s and this was the worst. Mismanaged.

I gave 4 stars because the shower in the cabins are either burning hot or freezing cold. And then the our entire stay at the KOA smelled like sewer. And at $300 per night that’s just things that shouldn’t be like that. I would have given 5 stars if those things weren’t like that. The place is nice and has fun things to do. Staff is very kind.

We’ve been camping to KOA for many years. 98% of the time they have full hookups available. Unfortunately Santa Paula KOA out of 200 maybe site they only have 10 maybe 15 full hookups and (1) ONE dump station. You need to checkout at 8am to be the 1st or 2nd in line to use the dump station. Campsite charges for water and electric is not reasonable. Other than that customer service is excellent.

Tent site OA31 was nice, shaded, close to restrooms, pool, etc. Daily activities were fun, pool was clean and showers were pretty decent for campground showers. We would be MUCH more likely to return if there were tent sites near RV sites which would allow our entire group to be near each other. The huge separation is frustrating and definitely discourages us from returning.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
