Was very disappointed with the condition and up keep of the campground! We've been staying at this resort for over 20 years. It seems to be getting run down more and more as time goes on. The facility is in horrible shape. The pool area has debris all around the area with alot of dirt and debris being tracked in the pool. There seems to be no attention to repairs around the facility. My family disliked staying here! We got a wagon but had to change to a tent because the wagon smelled horrible! It was a hot box that made the smell worse. The bathroom only had 1 shower working. The grounds needed cleaning. All of the pool chairs were dirty or had some bird droppings on them. The pool was dirty. Horrible experience. you should inform guest that the unique amenities cost money

We had a nice stay overall, but there were several issues that affected our experience. The outside stair railing was loose, and the spacing between the bars is dangerously wide, our 2-year-old almost slipped through. The bed was slanted, the coffee pot and the dishwasher didn't work. We feel these safety and maintenance concerns should be addressed.

We had to leave early because on the 2nd night we got ants in the RV and my kids and i were getting bit by ants as we tried to sleep. We all were awake all night on and off. It really sucked. Also we hoped the pool would be heated. It was ice cold which was a bummer.

Cabin was adorable, clean and comfortable. Campsite was cozy but worked well. Not many activities in the KOA campground itself so we traveled to Solvang and Ventura for day trips. Having a bbq to use was great and the partial kitchen was a bonus.

We loved the property & all of the activities to participate in but the only thing that would prevent me from returning was the lack of cleanliness of the restrooms. No soap, paper towels, and trash all over the flloors-all week. The entire week we were there, nobody cleaned them.

Tent camping was spacious. Zipline and staffing for it was of the utmost helpful. My kids had such an incredible experience. Only negative was the cleanliness of the restrooms, showers and pool area.

Campsite had beautiful shade, our neighbors were a bit noisy past midnight & didn’t extinguish their fire properly otherwise the peacocks were beautiful. The activities were fun. The staff were incredibly kind & silly to interact with. We definitely want to make it a spot we come back to annually if not more. Thank you so much, would recommend an updated map as it was tough to find our tent area

I rated this stay as a four. This rating was because the men’s restroom was not cleaned when I arrived on Monday. I alerted the front office and they got on the phone which made it sound as though it was going to be cleaned. It was not cleaned until Thursday afternoon. Staff from the KOA did say that they only had three people on staff that do that kind of work.

We stayed in Pine site 12. They are doing maintenance on the sewer and we kept getting sewer smells thinking it was our trailer. We truly love the site but the smells ruined some of our meals. The fence is also falling and needs to be fixed..overall we love your site .,

Staff is super nice. It's a noisy campground though. If you are near the entrance you'll hear beep beep beep from staff vehicles at 630 AM and the peacocks are awake at night making noise. Still, I'd stay there again but ask that I not have a site near the entrance. I like the rules and they seem to be enforced, no problems from other campers. The place is clean and natural. Great for kids.

We tried to find/attend the Monday activity of wood painting, walked around and couldn’t find anyone. Texted the phone number ave never got an answer. Also the neighbor next to us on Sunday evening sent their dog unleashed to run after the peacocks. They were literally yelling “go get it”. It really was shocking and affected the quality of our trip. Ran through our campsite.

KOA Santa Paula stay was very disappointing. Check-in code didn’t work, waited 1+ hour in heat for maintenance to end up giving master code. Cabin was dirty: dirty floor, dishes, and stained sheets. Had to clean myself. TV lacked power cord. Poorly maintained, not as advertised with “home amenities.” No apology. Won’t recommend. I request compensation for my family’s discomfort

I my family and I enjoyed our stay. My main complain is that the shower near the pool was not working properly. The water pressure was horrible (literally just drops coming out) and the second day someone pooped in the shower. So I couldn’t even shower the second day. Also for the zip line I would’ve liked for a worker to be at the 3 post of zip line to ensure that the children’s safety is k

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. But koa Ventura definitely need to fix their bathrooms. They anre old and run down. A lot of the bathrooms doors didn’t lock. Broken tiles covered with a rug.

Everything was fine except for having to turn down some music my family was playing at 3pm. It was even loud but a male worker from the park told us to turn down the music when others were blasting their music. Not fair at all.

When we arrived we were greeted in a friendly manner and given our camp spot which was nice however next to county road so we did have road noise on a regular basis. The bathrooms were clean at the begging of our stay but as more people checked in they got dirty/messy. No hot water for a shower, we were told to use the “better” showers which were also cold. We definitely enjoyed our stay the staff was very nice my only complaint is having to stand in line for one shower I hope in the future that there's a possibility to have at least 2 available showers we stayed in the oaks other that we really enjoyed our stay and the activities!!! We stayed in cabin2. It was clean and ready when we got there. Parking was a little tight with parking for cabin 3 right next to us. Trim the bushes and trees arond the cabin for easier access in the drive way.

The campgrounds are carefully taken care of and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great spot.

We enjoyed our stay -- loved the peacocks, the pool, and the creek. My kids spent hours on the bounce pad. That said, the bathrooms by the pool are falling apart. While they do need to be cleaned more often and thoroughly, especially on the weekend, they truly need a renovation. Parts of the floor in the women's restroom were sinking, one of the showers was out of order.

The staff is friendly. The workers on the golf cart need to slow down! Cars zoom through the campground. The campground can be kept clean a little better. For a KOA I would expect more. I will probably not return.

I stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA over the weekend and had such a great experience. We booked one of the cabins, and it was fully loaded—honestly, all we had to do was show up and enjoy. It made the trip super easy and stress-free. The pool opened early, which was a nice bonus, and there were so many activities to keep everyone entertained. The zip lines were a highlight, and kids will love things like gem mining and tie-dye. There's definitely no shortage of fun things to do. One of the coolest parts of the stay was seeing wild peacocks wandering around the property—it added a really unique touch to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing getaway, and I'm already looking forward to going back!

We rented a cabin and froze the first night bc there were no instructions on how to operate the "digital" heater. Also it did not state on the website that none of the children's activities were open during the week, which is when we were there during spring break. 😡
