Arrived late afternoon, staff very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Informed me of our designated site, bathroom / shower house. Facilities were clean and quiet. Will stay again if our travels afford us another visit.

Semi tractor which appears to be a regular idled from 11pm to 6am, with air brakes releasing every few minutes. Right next to the tent camping area. Didn't sleep the entire night. Is this a campground or a Love's truck stop? Why bother telling me when quiet time is but not him?

This KOA is needing lots of TLC. My overnight stay consisted of having to change sites at 1130 at night because of no power at the pedestal. The metal cover fell off onto the ground and began to short out. Several attempts made the office after hours, just a recording, even 3 x’s into the next day. I am a precious KOA owner and was disappointed to the quality/ management of this campground.

We only stayed one night but it worked out well for us. No one was in the office but our reservation was outside the door. Site was easy to find. Pull thru was long and fairly level. Full hookups all functioned. Pool was green-couldn’t swim. Would stay again if passing through.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Pool closed on 9/29/2023, we had an issue with algae buildup and the water cleared up now. Sorry the pool was not available on that date but it was an exception to otherwise very good water chemistry.

Liked the RV art museum. Nice host, nicely kept grounds. Clean bathrooms.

Well organized, friendly people.

great place to stay overnight.

The Staff are very friendly. The camp is right next to I-30. Traffic noise is to be expected. Easy off and easy on location. One or two nights would be okay.
Sep 22, 2023
too close to expressway. Campground was great...noise level was not.

Really used you twice in a week as a place to stop for the night on our way to Tennessee. Great, clean campground. Not sure what time the restaurant opens (and admittingly didn't look), but would love to have been able to have a cup of coffee and breakfast there before I left. I assume the building outside row A was the place where that would have happened?

The campground was quite nice. A lot of permanent people staying there. Some of them need to clean up around their rigs. The real problem is barking dogs roaming around at 5:00 in the morning. The host that checked us in did a real great job.

Nice KOA. Only issue is with highway noise. If you are staying one night it is a great place to stay.

One night stay. Very functional for our purpose. Very odd check in process that is not what we have found to be normal. Had to go into an actual office. No camp store or usual camp host. Large number of full timers. Not unpleasant. Just different from typical KOA

Great stop for overnight getting in or out of Texas. Thanks!

Fine staff Good ambience Well kept grounds

Check-in was confusing. Store was closed when I arrived at 4:45. Illegible sign on door With hours. Site was too near interstate. Road noise was loud. One oft my least favorite KIA’s we stayed in on our 3 week trip.

we were here for two nights to visit the sites. Our site was very nice. The showers and laundry are top shelf! Thanks for a great stay!

The picture here does not reflect this campground. It was nice for an overnight which is what I needed. A lot of permanent residents but they were in the back so good.

we got locked out of our trailer....the maintenance crew brought over a drill so my husband could drill out the lock to allow us entrance. very kind and helpful. main drawback was it is on the side road of the freeway, noisy.

No wi-fi !!! I won’t stay there again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

we do have wifi. we have a 300 x 300 fiber optic line which is sent to 5 repeater towers. We also list a help line available 24/7 to trouble shoot connection issues.

the Rv Park really needs a upate

The general manager was pleasant as he welcomed us. The campground looked rather run down. Our site was about 30 yards from Interstate 40 so we didn’t get much sleep. I was surprised that this campground would be in the KOA portfolio.

Check in with very friendly. Nice people. Camp spot was ok. Place was conveniently located. But wifi was unusable. Was pretty much told that when we checked in. Looking at provider they use. They pretty much get 0’s for usability. It’s advertised as 5G, 300 mps. No cable there either for $50+. In contrast staying at $40 park in Mountain View Arkansas. 5G 100 mps. Lighting fast. Watching tv.

Clean pool and spotless bathrooms. Level site. Very easy access of Interstate 30.

Had to move to find a site that was more level

IMHO it is the true measure of a park when the response to a problem is timely and personalized. We had a SWEPCO power outage that Mr. Jerry Bergman responded to and began the process to get our power back at 11:30 pm during our stay. Our power was restored by 2:00 am and as requested Mr Bergman notified me personally. His timely response and personal involvement was much appreciated.

Stayed one night as we travel from central Texas to Maryland. Easy off and back on the highway. Friendly, helpful staff. Good wifi. Cable TV did not work. Good pet area. We have stayed with you in the past and if (at our age you never know) we need a place to stay in Texarkana we will most likely stay with you again!

I stayed at the Texarkana KOA Journey while a sick family member was being treated in a nearby hospital. Even when I had to extend my stay multiple times, the management bent over backwards to make sure I could keep my space and not have to move my trailer during a very trying time. Highly recommended!

Was very nice and peaceful and great people and nice swimming pool.

Nice, clean and quiet.

Campground was clean and all of the employees were polite and efficient. The pool was well kept and enjoyable. There is some highway noise, but it didn’t keep us awake.

When we arrived a sign on the store door said to go to main office to check in. Main office reeked of sewer. Park not well planned. Each street intersecting with main entrance street had gutters deep enough to do damage to rigs. We are loyal KOA customers and live in our rigs full time. We will not return to this park.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The paper mill in Ashdown Ar is 14 miles north of the campground and if the wind comes from the north the unpleasant odor sometimes is present at the campground for several hours. Some rigs with low clearance have dragged on our gutters but the vast majority do not.

The staff at the Texarkana KOA are really amazing. I only wish that you could air condition the outdoors, lol. I think that you guys do a great job. Keep up the good work.

Awesome always available when traveling

It was an overnight stay but it was nice and we love staying at this KOA. The restrooms are always clean and comfortable. They call us and let us know what spot we have and that is so nice. Yes, we will stay here again within the year.
Aug 20, 2023
Repeat customer. This is a very convenient overnight stop on our travels.

I specifically choose KOA whenever possible because i usually know what to count on. This location is a little old and could use some spiffing up, but I would probably stay again if it fit the time and place requirements as it did this time.

Not only was the mattress in the cabin about 1,000x better than any of those slabs of solid rock they try to pass off as a damn mattress at most hotels, it came with sheets and pillows too! Our cabin was clean, the ladies at the front desk were nice, it was overall a great place to stay. The only downside is the location, it's right next to a feeder road so you get some road noise. It would be a bigger deal for tent campers, but trailers and those like us with cabins have a bit of insulation so it wasn't terrible.
