Arroyo Temporarily Closing for 2024 Redevelopment

Arroyo Temporarily Closing for 2024 Redevelopment

As we look ahead to 2024, we are excited to announce that we will be doing a major redevelopment of the Arroyo section of the campground.  Every site in Arroyo will be brought up to a modern standard with 50/30/20A electricity, new water and sewer connections, and paver patios.  We also anticipate adding several new Cabins and completely replacing the old bathrooms.  As part of the remodel, we expect that some sites will be permanently removed and all of the site numbers will change from their current format.

In order to be able to complete the project in a timely manner, we will be closing the Arroyo section of the campground for at least one year.  Unfortunately, as a result of the construction, we will not be taking any reservations for Halloween 2024 in Arroyo sites.

We know that Halloween camping is an annual tradition for many families and we apologize in advance for the interruption to those traditions and wanted to share with you in advance what your options will be for advanced reservations for Halloween 2024 and 2025.

First, we are excited to announce that we will be adding a 6th weekend of Halloween Camping on September 20 & 21, 2024.

When you arrive at the KOA this year, on your reservation form you will be given two options to choose from (you may only choose one).

Option 1) You will be able to make a reservation request for any site or cabin in the Oaks, Chardonnay, Merlot, or Rincon for Sept 20&21, 2024 (this weekend will only be available to be reserved by current Arroyo guests)

Or

Option 2) You will be able to make a guaranteed reservation for a new Arroyo Site or Cabin in 2025 for the same weekend you are staying in 2023 (it will not be the same site number).

As always, you will also have the opportunity to be put on the waitlist early for any other Halloween weekend in 2024 in a site or cabin in Oaks, Chardonnay, Merlot or Rincon.

No action is required at this time, but we wanted to get this information to you in advance of your stay this October.

If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

See you in October!
