We stayed a total of 8 nights in May 4 nights separated by a week between stays. The park is in shambles because it's supposed to be going through a major renovation and upgrade, hopefully I'm guessing before the winter season. At no time during the 8 night stay did I see any work being done! If corporate is in charge of the project they are doing a miserable job of managing it. Good luck!

Since it was under construction, it is hard to rate the campground. It would have been nice to have the pool open and from what I have heard, it's been closed for some time. I like the area and there is a lot to do.

The staff was great. They were all friendly and amicable. Location is nice. The number of “runaway” golf carts running rampant across the property was staggering. Especially when there really isn’t anything on property that most people would need a golf cart to get to. Not sure if I would go back. Value to price just didn’t seem equal.

The campground is very very clean, well maintained and most important the staff is wonderful. We had interaction with Brooke and Sheri and they were so nice, happy made you feel very welcome! We will for sure be back!

I want to let KOA know that I no longer have a 26 ft. travel trailer and now have a 33 ft Class A. The site given to me was extremely small and seemed to be in the area of the campground where only travel trailers were parked.

First, only staff worth dealing with is Brooke(?) and Katy, who left due to inappropriate behavior by another staff member. We asked to extend our stay, the lady flat out lied. Said no openings. Spoke with Katy, no one is coming in there, you can stay. No pool/hottub. Golf cart staff are rude. They drive too fast. Construction. Camp is on industrial area with lots of shady people.

We had a site next to the bayou complete with furniture and table with a two seater glider! It was beautiful, roomy and serine. We enjoyed our stay! All of the employees were friendly!

Staff was great very helpful. We were there 5 nights. RV spot we were given was too sunny. We have reserved a shaded spot for our next visit.

The stay was the usual excellent despite no pool, etc. As the resort goes through an extensive update, it's still the best place to stay in St Petersburg. With staff like Ms Brooklyn it's easy to deal with the construction.

This KOA is beautiful and well maintained by a friendly staff. We've stayed here twice and will probably come back.

Very nice campground. Our only disappointment was the polls were not open do to need for refurbishment.

Staff are very helpful. Cleanest campground I've been to. We love staying here close to beaches. Only downside, but I knew it as they informed me, the pool is being redone. Will be back next year.

Staff very, very friendly. Loved the beautiful Live Oaks around the park. Wish the sites had been graveled but they were really dirty sand and dirt. Did not want to sit outside because of it. The park is huge and the dog areas were really nice. I liked the park a lot except for the RV pull throughs where we were.

The pool was not in order. With the temperature reaching the high 80’s it would have made the stay much more enjoyable if we had been able to cool off in it.

Very special park for long-term stay. Only issue is the construction, especially the pool repair, which is temporary. Thanks to all the staff who make camping so much fun.

After staying at Sugarloaf KOA, which was amazing, we were just disappointed in the shape this one is in. On a positive note, the workers were extremely nice!

We really enjoyed our stay at Maderia Beach KOA. We had a site on Long Bayou and spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor patio area which had a glider swing a fire pit and a table with four chairs. My site had knee surgery back in January so this made our trip very relaxing. We will be back.

Only stayed one night. Facilities were very nice and the staff amwas exceptional. Only thing not open was the pool. Fortunately it wasn't very hot. We thoroughly enjoy our stay.

This is a campground that appears to be under renovation. The pool was being repaired (which we knew ahead of time), and there was various other areas that looked like they were under construction. There are quite a few permanent residents ( appeared to be snowbirds) with vacant units in one section of the campground. The staff is excellent and very friendly.

Resort very nice and clean with a great staff. Sites are a little close but not bad. Close to the beach and shopping. My only problem was I had to ask if the site in front of me could stay open so I could pull out. Trees and a pole would have made my normal exit a challenge

Pool closed, we paid more to be on the water yet we couldn’t access due to the construction. We should have been told prior so we could have changed spots. Bathrooms very clean. The grounds very clean.

Clean, quiet, beautiful location and very friendly staff. I live locally and would love to hear anytime you have buy one night get 2nd night free type deals! We appreciated your helpful staff. They all seemed interested, engaged, and one pair even recognized us as we shopped at nearby Walmart and pointed us to the rv supplies section!

This is a very interesting KOA with lots to do. I would have booked a longer stay if I’d known what a truely unique campground it was. They have golf cart rentals & a paved golf cart & bike trail right out of the front entrance. Miniature golf on site. Lots of great places to eat near by. And a small both ramp in the back of the camp. Plus friendly & helpful staff. A+

Stayed here multiple times. Great staff and lots of amenities. One of those KOAs where you don't have to worry about what you're going to get. Always a good experience.

Excellent campground. On the water and the Pinellas Trail bike path, you can row or ride right out of the campground. RV Sites are roomy, we were in a back-in on the water. Our RV is a 45-foot toy hauler and we were able to lower the ramp door and use as a patio. The site had a hard patio with table and chairs and a fire pit on site. Staff is super freindly and helpful. Wi-Fi is great, was able to stream with our fire stick. Beautiful, clean, I will be back soon.
