Lake Ontario is home to excellent sailing, motor boating, and fishing. For calmer waters, Sodus Bay is a great place to get wet.
If taking a charter to the deep waters of Lake Ontario is not your game, there are plenty of spots for anglers throughout the area of Sodus Point. Fishing off the pier at Sodus Point Beach Park or testing your luck at the Maxwell Bay Fishing Access Point are just a few of the many spots to reel in the big one.
Sodus Bay, located just a mile from the campground, is a beautiful spot to explore by paddle. The calm and clean waters of the bay provide plenty to explore as much or as little as you desire. Sodus Bay Outfitters offers rentals, while Sill Landing offers a kayak launch for public use.
A short distance from our campground are great hiking trails!
The Sodus Point area is excellent to explore by bike. Wayne County's Let's Go Bike program offers a great bike route map for cyclists who want to see it all.
We all know there's the Big Apple, but New York State is home to a lot of other apples, too. The Sodus Point/Lake Ontario KOA is located in the heart of Apple Country, and there are many orchards to explore during your stay with us.
Charter a boat on Lake Ontario or Sodus Bay for an exciting day of fishing. The lake's main fish species include chinook/king salmon, coho salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye and carp.

Surrounded by apple orchards and meandering pastures, our campground is near wonderful and tasty farm stands and markets. The town of Sodus hosts a weekly farmers market on Wednesdays, and don't miss a visit to one or two of the many farm stands throughout the area.
Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario are world-class boating destinations. Whether you are coming to fish the deep waters of Lake Ontario or just want to take the pontoon for a leisure cruise on the calm waters of Sodus Bay, our campground is the perfect spot to set up camp.
The Sodus Point area offers exceptional wine tastings from local wineries, distilleries, and vineyards. Check out the official Lake Ontario Wine Trail for the best spots to see while staying at the Sodus Point Lake Ontario KOA.
