We love the location! Unfortunately there was a lot of broken glass, cigarette butts, and trash at our tent site and it was hard to let our dog run around because of it. Also lots of sand at the tent site, not a lot of grass

Very disappointed with our stay. We booked a tent site expecting grass, but it was dirt and pine needles. We were placed between loud groups smoking cigarettes and weed and playing music past midnight, forcing us to pack up with our 1-year-old and leave. We also called the emergency number with no response. Would not recommend for tent campers or families with small children.

KOA Journey was great! The facilities were clean and well up kept. The staff was friendly and attentive. The lake added a beautiful experience to the journey.

We've always loved this campground, but we will not be back. Campers, at least 5 sites away, brought a full speaker system and played music nonstop throughout our stay. You could hear it at every site in the campground. We couldn't even have a conversation at our site. We were told since it wasn't quiet hours, nothing could be done. Ruined the weekend for countless other families. Bad policy..

Quiet. Clean. Cordial friendly staff. Great view of the lake. I stayed here one night during a return trek from a work conference held at a hoity toity resort. By far, the night spent sleeping in my tent lakeside was the most restful sleep I got all week. The only detractor was being able to see and hear the continuous flow of traffic on I-95, but that provided a good source of white noise.

There for 1 night to break up my drive. Nice location on Lake Marion. Staff was friendly especially Ruby. She was fun to talk to and very informative. I'm sure I will stay there again.

Only one night car camping. Site was unlevel and difficult for sleeping. There was no warm or hot water in the showers, bathhouse had a moldy smell in the morning

The entire place was very well-taken care of. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was eerily quiet, which was amazing! We will DEFINITELY be choosing this campground for our next trip! Oh, and make sure to check out the fishing pier and boat ramp. Very convenient!!

Really appreciated the convenience of being able to check in late. The map and instructions were easy to use. My only minor complaint, and this is truly minor, is the tent sites without hookups are located "far" from the restrooms. They really aren't that far, but I camp alone and walking to shower at night can feel a bit unnerving. Would recommend this camp ground!

The location of my site was great. The staff was extremely accommodating. However, what was not great was a certain site that had music blaring not to mention the golf cart that they rode around, had music blaring, which dampened my experience at the campground from my understanding this was reported, but nothing was done about it therefore I had to cut my stay short by one day.

Very beautiful Campground. Nice and quiet. Nice and dark at the campsites instead of a ton of bright lights. I want to see the stars so I a campground that doesn’t over light. A lot of pine trees in Pineneedle bedding on the ground which I love. The lake is very pretty with the tall pines around it.

Beautiful location on lake, friendly and helpful staff, easy access to interstate and delivery of pizza to campsite was an unexpected bonus.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff!! The camp ground was very clean. We rented a rustic tent space and the location had a great view and secluded. Rented during the week and was shown choices and was given the opportunity to choose which area I was interested in. Swimming area, beach area, and fishing dock were all so beautiful and upkeep was impressive. Staff had great suggestions for the area.

Very nice scenic camping area, the KOA has direct accesss to the lake, long reception hours, valuable meal service, not too noisy, and very friendly staff.

Our stay was pleasant and somewhat peaceful. Big problem with ants getting into everything. Told park employee about our picnic table being broken and unusable. Was not corrected during our 3 day stay.

All employees were very kind and helpful! Only complaint was the dog poop we found on our tent site that sadly ended up on my kids shoes while putting up our tent.

1)We were not allowed to set up our tent at the tent area and had to use an RV pad of clay which made cleaning the bottom of the tent very difficult 2)The bath house facility was clean and very nice, however, the shower areas were lacking a bench and sufficient hooks to hang clothes 3)the hand dryer in the ladies room was inoperable 4)The biting flies were terrible 4) An RV site is unacceptable!!!

The staff was very friendly and the grounds were clean. I brought an ant issue to the staff (and yes I know we're out in nature) but they had gotten in my tent and bit my mom's legs pretty bad. I just brought it up so they could possibly spray before it happens to anyone else and she didn't dismiss my concern at all. She genuinely responded with concern. I always enjoy staying here.

Beautiful campground, very well run. Nice people! Right on the lake, with a beach. We were close to I95, which is great for getting back on the road, but our site was close to the highway, which we could hear in our tent.

Got there about 630 on 8/8/25 and left 8/9/25 around 200 because the ants was awful they got into everything we had, the guy there wanted to give me a jug of spray to spray the area, we wasn't suppose to leave until check out 8/11/25 we are unsatisfied with this koa experience, they did refund me Sunday night and I don't no why they didn't refund me Saturday night to.

We were there for only 10.5 hours. Ants a major issue on the tent "bluff" area. They not only invaded picnic table, camp chairs, tent, but our truck cab (coolers and belongs) and truck bed (camping gear). Water turned off in bathrooms after midnight, still not on when we left at 5:00am. Safety: electrical panel doors left open with a fan blowing on them during the pouring down rain.

The mosquito infestation here is atrocious. It is like the Everglades here. At night I had to plug up a bug zapper lamp just to get enough relief from the bugs to setup my tent. It ran continuously throughout the night and the next morning the bugs had clogged up the lamp such that you couldn't see the light anymore. This plus the density of campsites means I won't be back. Clean bathrooms though.

Our stay was just okay unfortunately. The lake was very nice, but we did not get a spot until after 4:30 in the afternoon because someone else had parked their trucks in our space. The park owner was very apologetic, and they gave us free pizza and water, but we paid for 3 days and ended up using only 1 night as we left the next day.

Everything was great. Everyone was friendly and like family. The golf cart parade was smaller than normal but I guess that happens. I think they should have a competition for the most decorated and best looking campsite on holidays. Just a suggestion.

Beautiful park close to the interstate, easy in and out. Located on Lake Marion, beautiful beach, scenic views and peaceful. We were in H2 site and had great views of the beach and water. We will definitely be back again
