It was ok but to expensive for the level of campground. Our site was on a hill and very hard to get our tow vehicle rehitched. The bathrooms need updating. The location is wonderful on the lake but the whole place seemed run down.

Traveling down to Florida, and we found this KOA on Google maps. Staff was very friendly, and easy to talk to. We had a pleasant and quiet stay for the night. A nice quick and easy reast stop after a long day of travel.

Bathrooms filthy and require upgrades and repairs. Store stock has much to be desired. BIG ANT PROBLEM...GOT THEM IN MY RV. When there is a group. NEED TO SELECT AN AREA TO BE TOGETHER PRIOR to arrival at campground. Numbered site map would be nice on website .IF THIS IS A REPRESENTATION OF KOA CAMPGROUNDS WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. 60 years of camping across country this is probably the worse

Great staff onsite very helpful. When we arrived our package was ready and we were escorted to our site by a younger black man, sorry I not get his name but he was courteous and asked if I needed any help setting up. No help was required but it was nice to be asked. Restrooms are a little outdated but when I did visit them they were clean and in good shape. The wi-fi needs improvement. A+stay.

Staff very friendly and attentive to campers needs. Nice roomy sites. But we stayed for a week and must have brought 1000+ ants back with us we had to spray the 5th wheel on return trip. Anthills everywhere...perhaps the grounds could be sprayed or whatever. Also; pool needed chlorine level boosted or even shocked. The pool sides were covered in algae all week and water was greenish

Very happy with the campground, the amenities, and the helpful staff. A great place to camp when visiting the Santee National Wildlife Refuge.

We have stayed here for years, at one point we were here once or twice a month. Now we are down to once or twice a year. This place needs major upgrades! The cabins are a waste of space and money! Spray for ants, fix the kiddie pool that has been closed for a year, playground equipment needs to be replaced. ENFORCE quiet time and kids jumping off dock! Most of the employees are great but thats it!

Very nice KOA campground. Sites are roomy and very well maintained. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. Gorgeous sunset over the north shore of Lake Marion.

Dated park, but everything was in good working order. Bathrooms were very clean. Great Lake views. Only downside is that there was too much sand for us, which attracted tins of ants. Prefer concrete slabs.

The electric did not work, we couldn't get 15 amp out of the 30 or 50 amp service. The was place was empty in July?? They had large fan on the main circuit panel. The only good thing was easy on and off I95.

Beautiful camp ground. Wonderful and clean bathrooms. Ant problem in our vehicles and camper. Ants in or vehicle as we drove home for 8 hrs.

We spend every 4th of July at Santee KOA. It is a great time and always kept very clean. Have never had a bad experience. We look forward to many more Holidays with them.

Holiday weekend so was very crowded which was to be expected. Staff handled crowd well, kept bath houses clean. Beach area by lake had a good bit of trash left behind from slack campers. Also there were kids riding four wheelers all day and evening up and down every row. (which I thought 4 wheelers weren’t allowed) other than that overall good stay.

Stayed on the 4th of July. Enjoyed our stay, only issue I'm having with most KOAs is your WIFI is weak to almost none when your full. Internet the whole time there was none here. Hurts some of us that try and do little work or leisure abilities that need INTERNET to do so.

I have no idea why this campground falls under the KOA umbrella. This is without question the most dilapidated KOA I’ve ever stayed at. Sites weren’t level, electric struggled to keep up and there were ants everywhere. We will never be back.

Once again we had a great weekend at Santee Lakes KOA. This is one of our favorite places to go. It’s quiet & clean, the staff is always so friendly (Mike always remembers us and our dog, Shine �) and helpful. We are excited to see what the new owners will do and will definitely be back soon!

Per the website, we were expecting more from the game room, mini golf, and pool. None were really usable. Games were old and broke, and there weren't very many to start with. The pool was small and needed updating, the jacuzzi was closed. There was a sign to wash before getting into pool, but no shower. Bath houses need updating. We did enjoy the lake.

The sites are nice, trash service is great. The activities are nice. The only issue we had was the boat overflow parking area had a huge pile of rock/asphalt that took up a large area of the boat parking. This and all the single cars or golfcarts taking up spots made it hard to find a boat trailer parking spot. We were told not to park the trailer at campsites, but we had no choice.

I think this place was the worst place I've stayed in years. They have a huge ant infestation. The power boxes are so out of date people were burning the AC units. I wouldn't come back!!

First let me say this rating has absolutely nothing to do with the staff. They were the sweetest people ever!! We had a 30amp site, we lost power twice. The gentleman beside us lost power every 30 minutes and had to fix his own breaker. The ants are absolutely horrible, yes I know we are outside but it was a mess. Everything needs to be updated. The price doesn't reflect at all.

We really enjoyed staying at Santee Lakes KOA. When we arrived someone drove us to our site and helped us level out the camper. We loved having boat access to the lake. Having trash picked up was a great perk as well.

I’ve always had the best time at this camp ground until this stay. Lost power twice because of breakers tripping and lost water once unsure why. We had an electrical box on our site that actually shocked me. Had to go find park services in the middle of the nigh. Where it was shrugged off as they had been working on it all day and it hadn’t shocked them so why would it shock me? Send email

My site was FO2 kept having issues with electrical box. The electrician came out and replaced the breaker, then we had a rain storm that Saturday lost power and water and sewer was backing up trash cans at the beach need more trash cans. It is a beautiful place just need some work might camp once that we hear all the problems I’ve been fixed

The spot they put us on had a bad ant infestation my truck and trailer were covered with ants inside and out. And then the power went out Saturday on the spot I was on bad wiring in the main box so we ended up leaving just a day early.

Convenient off I-95 and staff was nice, but some campers do not abide by noise restrictions. Loud ATVs until 1:00am and people yelling. 30amp/water site description said it would be near lakefront but was far from lake and near store/pool.

Very nice staff, long pull throughs available, sandy/dirt campsites. Pool filtration system needs improvement. Camp store is limited. Good for an overnight stay due to proximity to I95.

Well set cabin near the lake. Easy access from I95. Our only complaint was the master bedroom mattress should be replaced.

Nice convenient park right off interstate, clean lots and friendly staff. Waterfront views and a decent boat ramp. Restaurant next door is a good place for a family meal

Nice place for a getaway, but holiday weekends are crowded and noisy. Will think twice before coming on a holiday lol
