The campground is in the perfect location for our needs. This time the ants found us and the biting flies and mosquitoes were awful, but August is a difficult month for camping. The pool had algae and leaves...it needed some attention. Our site was flat, easy to level our bus and for one night, it was adequate.

We love going at this campgrounds. We go there atleast twice a year. Staff is awesome very clan campground love it.

Definitely our favorite KOA. Sites are level and most have a fair amount of shade. You can tell they care about their KOA because the grounds are very well kept up. It's nice to always see someone riding around keeping an eye out for potential things that would make your stay less than enjoyable. The only issue: their store has less stuff than other KOA's, but that's minor. WE WILL BE BACK!

Bathrooms were very old and outdated. Definitely need to be replaced. The MayFlies were unbearable. When people call to make reservations, they should at least let you know about them. We could not even go outside they were so bad.

This time we were only overnight on our way down to Florida. The sunset on Lake Marion is always spectacular. The pool was wonderful. Staff is great.

They need to do something about the ants!!!!!!! We only stayed one night and our motorhome had ants everywhere inside. Will never come back!!! Ialled and told them about it and they said they would have the manager call me. NO CALL!!!

We stayed here a year ago and the bathroom/ shower house was closed for remodeling. We stayed there again on our trip back home and the same bathroom was still closed for remodeling, why put us near the closed building when there were many empty sites near a bath house. Also, power was lost from 7:50 pm until after midnight, it was a couple hours later before staff came around to advise status.

Thanks to all (especially Ann) for taking care of us! Moved us to a better site for the extra length with towed boat and still managed to get our pizza despite arriving shortly before office closure. Always a pleasure at Santee!

The staff was nice. I wish that campers would adhere to keeping their dogs on a leash. There were 2 dog fights while we were there and we personally witnessed others not cleaning up after their dogs. This was a very serious issue. More needs to be done here. We had to call the front office about the bathhouse not being cleaned, there was plugged toilets and no toilet paper in most of the stall

We arrived at 2 pm and was greeted by the friendly and professional staff. Check-in went smoothly and we were escorted to our site. Nice level dirt site with a view of the lake. It was a quiet four nights stay, and not a lot of campers during this visit. This was not our first time staying here and look forward to a return trip.

Really beautiful location on the lake and nice people. Many of the sites are very hilly and there doesn't appear to be any attempt to level the areas. I can see how famlies would enjoy the area, with lots to do. Personally, we will probably look elsewhere. They were just dirt RV pads and so undeveloped. I can't imagine if we got rain while there.

We had a great stay and have already made reservations to return. Everyone is super nice and helpful. They have someone to lead you to your campsite, which I think is great! The campsites for motor homes and trailers are pull through. All sites are shaded. Something for everyone to do. Check them out.

While traveling from Vermont to Florida, we found this KOA on an app and decided to give it a try. It was close to the highway, yet also had nice huge trees and a lake. I’m glad we stopped here!

A classic campground/RV park. It's located on a beautiful lake with a large beach area and a dock. It's pet friendly, has mostly pull through spaces with full hookups, and multiple shower /restroom facilities. The RV spaces are mostly flat and have a picnic table and fire ring. There's a put put course, a pool, a dog park, and a giant chess set/board. The lake is absolutely stunning and the beach and dock are great spots to watch the various birds flying and swimming by the lake. There is a little store with basics, a community room with games and free coffee, and a take out pizza restaurant. They have an easy late checkin system, allowing you to easily find your spot even if you're arriving late. The rows and spots are all clearly marked. You're within 10 minutes of stores and restaurants. The negatives are that the women's side of the shower/restrooms near us were dirty and in disrepair. The toilets leaked water heavily when flushed (one shot water out of the top 🤢) and it looks like the floors and counters haven't been cleaned in days, despite signs indicating they'd be closed for cleaning each morning. My husband said the men's restroom was clean and he had no issues with any of the plumbing. We'd stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

This was our third time visiting this camp site, it's so nice and relaxing. Everytime we visit we were the only blacks there but the people there are soooo nice and friendly to us. Everyone spoke and held conversations...We will be back soon for another getaway trip soon!
