The duplex on the lake is great! Big windows offer an amazing view, day and night, and make the whole place feel more open. Beds are comfortable. Large open floor plan. Love the fire pit and rockers on the deck. It's all very peaceful! Definitely plan to stay here again. Looking forward to seeing all the improvements and upgrades that are in progress. It's very nice and getting better.

Clean, quiet and safe. Staff is extremely friendly. I stayed in a cabin as opposed to a local motel room and i dont regret it one bit. It was nice not eating in fast food restaurants or eating motel breakfasts, and cooking my own breakfast and lunch. After a week there, i realized the view of the sky was phenomenal late at night and early morning. Lack of light pollution was a bonus.

We came down to spend time with our son, I know you all are working on the campsite and cabin, I would get grills for the cabins, propane ones. Spruce up the putt putt ( but we still had fun dodging acorns.)

the staff was like family, welcoming and professional. the campground is undergoing a major renovation they still have a few bugs to work out, BUT i would go right back there today!!! It is going to be fantastic once the work is done. Thanks to Mr. Curran for his work and dedication>

First day we had to throw out food due to ants. We were there for a wedding lost electricity for several hour it was hot. We had to set up the TV's because they had not been set up yet. We had ants in the beds. The cabin was new that was nice. Not worth what we paid!!!!

Still a lot of contruction going on, bathrooms with no hot water after being out all summer and the rates for the cabins are high considering you don't have alot of extras and don't include sheets and towels. I'd expect to pay those prices at the beach, not at a Santee campground.

We were disappointed in the cabin we stayed in due to the following…the floors were very dirty, the sofa bed apparently had sand under the cushions, the water had that sulfur smell, there was a used bar of soap in the shower and the tv needs to have better viewing channels (when I am away, I do not like to use my streaming services on other TVs).

We stayed in cabin 6. Floor was not swept food and crumbs and fridge and freezer were dirty with food crumbs. The wifi kept disconnecting and they allowed loud music thumping on sunday until i called and complained with a headache.

Rented small cabin, it was clean and nice. I felt for $500 for two nights I should not have to bring my own linen, I enjoyed it but for that money I will stay in a hotel. The camp staff were extremely friendly and helpful, thoroughly enjoyed that aspect. The pool area was a bit unkept and could use some work, again for the money it should have been cleaned and kept better in my opinion.

A bit disappointed that it was under renovation and I wasn’t made aware when booking. The deluxe cabin was nice and clean. Thankful for the quiet location and beautiful lake.

Our stay was good. The cabin we stayed in was nice! The WiFi doesn’t work so we had to use hotspots. The grounds are under construction, possibly due to summer being over. The Mayflies were absolutely terrible during our stay. They were ALLL over the beach area & the entire campground. The pool needs a deep clean/scrub. I do think that this stay was way too expensive for what we received.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was great, especially Sandy. I have a couple of suggestions. There were 6 of us in our cottage. There was only 4 plates, utensils, and mugs so there wasn't enough. Plastic cups would have been helpful also with kids. The cottage was very clean and the AC worked great! Thanks

The wifi did not work in our little house we rented, so we could not watch tv. The playground was blocked off. The game room was being redone, the resturant was closed. Just wish we knew all of this ahead of time because we never would have booked our stay. We have kids so it just wasnt the best trip.

Cabin was dirty and had ant infestation. We went to dollar store to buy a mop to clean floors as our feet turned black on the bottom from walking on the floor. Otherwise the cabin was updated. Fire ring was unusable as the picnic table benches were collapsing from rot or weather.

The Santee Lakes KOA was easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was perfect, it was newly remodeled, clean and gave tremendous views of Lake Marion. The kids enjoyed the beach area, the pool, the basketball court and fishing from the dock. Overall it was a great stay.

Bed in cabin was supported by a warped piece of wood under mattress. The warp caused my wife and I to roll into the middle of the bed on top of each other. Felt like I was trapped in a giant burrito. Also, there was no WiFi signal available and since we just stayed over night 8pm to 8am we’re were unable to report the WiFi outage.

Two adults stayed five nights in a park model. This was our first time at this KOA and first time in a park model. Everything went smoothly. All employees of KOA were friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and well kept.

Hello. Normally I wouldn’t take the time to write a review but I was so unhappy with this visit I just had to. We drove hours to get away from town and decided to go to santee River to fish. It rained the whole time we were there which was half expected and would have been fine but there was absolutely no tv or internet/wifi the entire stay. Nice fishing pier, caught some very large catfish. Super close to another public fishing area and wildlife refuge, which was beautiful. Very clean cabin and nice grounds. Welcoming and kind staff.

We are repeat guests and stayed in a cabin this time...very nice option and improvement to the grounds! The staff (Sharon and Sandy) were very pleasant and helpful with getting us settled in with our pick up and enclosed car trailer close to our cabin. This is one of our favorite KOA's and we are happy to stop on our annual trips. Overall very clean/organized/great staff/ammenities!

Great cabin. Yummy pizza/wings. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the cabin itself was disappointing. All mattresses slept like a concrete floor to include the pillows. The window and porch ledges were disgusting. It would have been acceptable had it been just some dust but this is months of build up.

The cabin was wonderful. Clean and had everything i needed. The screened front porch was great; safe for the dog with railings as well as screens and the door locked. The cabin had fresh coffee, sugar and whitener. There was also a toaster. Great kitchen with full size fridge. Comfortable bedroom. Beautiful lake setting. Great pizza delivery!

We stayed in the 3bd/bathroom house. This was a very clean and newly renovated house. It is close to the dock, play ground, and swimming area. Our visit was early October so a few things were not available; pool and putt putt. Lots of construction going on during our time but it didnt bother us. I will say that this place does not have a pool with lazy river, splash pad or fish shape kids pool, that is next door. The volleyball net needs to be replaced. The store does not supply essentials. Only ice cream and merch.

Spent a month at this KOA. Ruby was wonderful. Anything we needed, she went above and beyond. The campground is being renovated so there was some confusing things and Ruby explained everything and was just so helpful and sweet.
